Hello, I am Joshua P. Warren, and this is Joshua P. Warren Daily. Well, of course, tomorrow is Memorial Day, and I doubt I will be leaving a new podcast for you tomorrow because I am also in the process of recording the audiobook version of my new workbook called Finding Your Magic How to Hack Reality Through Lucid Living. And of course, I gave out the only limited edition printed version of this that exists to the attendees of my big event in Las Vegas. So we do have you know people out there who have one of these limited edition copies that I signed for them, but it will not be released to the rest of the world for a little while. Uh and even then it will only be released as an ebook, but I have gotten so many requests to do an audiobook version that I am recording that now as well. Of course, I did an audiobook version of my book Use the Force, a Jedi's Guide to the Law of Attraction, and a lot of people really love that. And I myself, I love audiobooks. I mean, most of the time, if I get in the shower, I'm listening to an audiobook or some kind of music, usually something soothing, some spa music or something like that, with a little mood lighting. But um but I I do love listening to audiobooks, and uh it's a great way to absorb information in a new way, and so I will indeed have available when I release the ebook an audiobook as well. And so uh that's something you can look forward to, I suppose. But uh tomorrow I'm gonna be reading a lot as I go through the audiobook recording process, and so that's why I probably will not do a podcast tomorrow. That said, you know, Memorial Day is a very special day, and you know, I have all these friends who are big into smart survival skills, and many of them are called preppers. And sure, you can go too far with anything, but everybody ought to have you know some extra food and clean water on hand for some kind of a natural disaster, and uh you want to be able to disinfect things and have some basic medicine, and you know, but some people really get super into it as if the apocalypse is gonna hit any day, and who knows it might. Um but I always tell those folks look, it doesn't matter how well prepared you are, it doesn't matter if you have a bunch of generators and you have a stockpile of food and water and medicine and creature comforts. Uh it doesn't matter if when the shit actually hits the fan, a bunch of looters come in and take it all. So you have to be able to defend what you've worked for because you know that's your energy and your preparation that you've put into that. And uh it really is a terrible thought that you know during the Civil War and uh times like that in the history of this country, the Revolutionary War as well, you know, you had people who prepared, but then you had others who would just come in and take what they had prepared. So you have to be able to defend what you have. And that's ultimately the purpose of the military. Now look, I understand militaries get abused all the time by governments. Governments take militaries and they use them to go out and instigate things that don't need to be agitated, and they they do terrible things sometimes, and we realize that that you know they are misused and abused sometimes by politicians and governments, and when that happens, we don't like it, and we do everything we can in order to reprimand our governments for doing that. Um, and you know, again, I don't want to get political here. I I've on this podcast, this is not a political podcast, but I do want you to realize that the purpose of the military first and foremost is to protect us and to defend the stuff that we have that we cherish and that we hold dear. And you know, that's the intention. And so uh the men and women who have sacrificed their lives all throughout history, whether it's been voluntarily or involuntarily, um those people deserve our respect, and it is important to take a day to really think about them and have have gratitude toward them. Um I have many veterans in my family. My grandfather passed away a few years ago. He was in World War II, and he was over there fighting Hitler, you know, in Germany, in France, fighting Hitler's forces. And if it weren't for people like my grandfather, well then Hitler, he would he he would have taken over the world. I mean, that was what he was trying to do. He made that very, very clear. You know, he had all of his plans laid out to take over the world. And maybe you're a Hitler fan. Um, but I'm not. And I shudder to think what the world might be like today if it weren't for people like my grandfather. And he was drafted, you know. He they they plucked him right out. He was just a young man, 18, 19, something like that. Um, but uh he went there, he did his duty, and uh it affected him for the rest of his life. He never got over it. He was troubled by nightmares and you know terrible things that he saw. And uh I actually went and visited him on a memorial day, and he told me some of his stories, which was a big deal because he didn't usually talk about that stuff. My my father, and I'm not in my and when I say this is my grandfather, this is my father's father. His name was Frank Warren. My father, Danny Warren, said that uh Frank would never talk about these things to him, and so he was surprised to hear that uh I had gone over there and persuaded my grandfather Frank to tell me some stories and uh and they were pretty uh pretty terrible, pretty terrible. Uh and you know, maybe someday I'll repeat those things, maybe I'll tell you about it, but for now I'll just let you know that um we really do need to pause and have gratitude for the people who have saved us from the forces of evil. And as a guy who is here in the state of Nevada right now, which is the freest state, I really do appreciate the idea of being able to do what I want to do. Doesn't mean you have to do it. I appreciate the freedom to be able to do what I want to do. Here in this state, as long as you behave yourself, you can do whatever you want, and everybody treats you like an adult, and that's the way it should be. So uh freedom uh for us is uh is precious. And as we move into this season, because they often say that Memorial Day is the unofficial start of the summer vacation season, a lot of us are going to be traveling. Uh, I'm gonna be here in Nevada for uh quite a while. Uh I'll be coming back to Asheville in August, of course, because I am uh one of the speakers, if you want to call it call it that, more like guests for the George Norrie event there. Uh we did this a couple years ago, so I'll be there on stage with George Norrie. But in the meantime, um I'll be spending, I think, uh most of my time in Nevada. That can change with the drop of a hat, depending on the TV shooting stuff. And uh but many people are gonna be traveling around, taking vacations. Maybe you could use a little extra money. Well, this seems like a good time for me to talk about one of the secrets to attracting money, and it also ties in nicely to Memorial Day because it starts also with gratitude, and that's what this is all about. So let me explain more of what I mean by this. Um in my book Use the Force, a Jedi's Guide to the Law of Attraction, I talk about this concept that an engineer would call sympathetic resonance. And what that means is that when you project something out of your mind, that it activates a corresponding signal that reflects and brings things back into your life that are directly related to what you are projecting out. Now it doesn't work exactly like a radio wave because your brain has a quantum component, but it's very similar in practice. Um you know, again, I I talk about this idea that's a good example frequently. If you go into a big room, let's say one guy walks into that room and there are two identical pianos there. If the guy bangs a chord on one piano, the other piano will play the same chord, even though he never goes near it. That's sympathetic resonance. And so there is a principle of sympathetic resonance that also operates in life. And you could think of it perhaps as karma or you will reap what you sow. I mean, there are many ways of sort of wording this, but the idea is that you are a very powerful machine as a human. The brain is the most powerful thing that we know of in the universe. You can process hundreds of trillions of things, or at least a hundred trillion things a second, or something like that. And so we you don't even realize the power that you have in your own brain. You may think you understand it, but you don't even understand your own power. And so when you project something out, it may look small to you, but it actually creates a huge impact because you have a brain that is functioning in many different dimensions. Uh and so that I mean that's why you don't know where your dreams come from, and you don't know where your memories are stored, and you don't know how you can, you know, remember the taste of chocolate right now, as I say, the taste of chocolate. You don't know, but it's there. It's just on another level or another layer. So you have a lot more power at your disposal than is often uh immediately visible to you on the surface. So when you use that power and you project it, and again, this is just a model, it's just an illustration, it may not actually work as a projection, but essentially that's what it is. When your brain sends forth this thing into the universe that is a particular form or mind uh mindset, um it what it does is it creates a corresponding signal that will come back and return to you. Um but you have to to do it properly because otherwise you just create a bunch of noise. You can't counteract yourself constantly and sabotage yourself and say, Oh, here's what I want, uh, but that's never gonna happen. Here's what I'd like to see, eh, but that's probably not gonna occur. That would be cool, but I'm not lucky, that's not me. Okay, so this if you immediately send out a positive thought and then you counteract it and sabotage yourself, well then nothing's gonna happen, and you're just sending out noise and you're canceling yourself out. So you have to get into a rhythm. It's like you're a composer and you're making music. You have to get into a rhythm where you start sort of sending the same thing out over and over and over. The problem is it's very, very difficult to control your brain and your thoughts. Because if you're like me, your thoughts are racing a gazillion, you know, you're the it's just like it's all the it my thoughts are all over the place, okay? But um it's even more difficult because we live in this day and age of complete distraction. I mean, everywhere you turn, there is a distraction. And trust me, as a guy who is speaking to you right now from Las Vegas, there are distractions everywhere. But most of them you subject your own self to because you are the one who sits there and chooses to look at your cell phone constantly and see all these ads and see all these distorted news stories. But that said, um, you can break through the mental chaos and the mental noise by implementing actions. So, yeah, thoughts can go all over the place, but when you form an action, well, you're transforming thought into something that's physical and something that's focused. You're doing something that actually is impacting another vibration. And when you do that, then it creates action that comes back to you. So you can't just sit around and just think about the stuff that you want to happen. You also have to take action because if you think about the stuff that you want to happen, well, then it's just going to return to you on the same wavelength as, oh, those are not so I got some nice thoughts back. Woo-hoo. Which maybe that's all you need. But if you're looking for action, you're looking for physical change in the physical world, on the physical realm that you live in, then the it starts with thoughts, but the thoughts also have to transform into action so that the change that is positive comes back to you on the physical level of action. So, in other words, you send out an action to make another action happen in your life. So let's say the action that we want is to receive more money. And who doesn't like receiving more money, right? And the the funny thing about money, and gosh, I could talk for hours about money because it's absolutely fascinating. Money is not what you think of when you think of money. Usually, if you think of money, you literally think of like a dollar bill or a coin or something like that. But those just represent something. What do they represent? Well, they represent an energy. And ask yourself this question, okay? Where does money come from? Where does money come from? And the simple answer is money comes from other people. So if you want money, then you have to send out a good vibration, a good frequency to other people that they will then send back to you, which also can come in the form of money. And the purpose of money is to I mean, the ultimate purpose of money is to express gratitude. So the first thing you have to have in order to attract money is a grateful attitude toward life in general. So when you wake up every day, you should do your best, whatever mood you're in, to thank the universe for every good thing that's happening. If you can stand up on two legs, thank the universe for that, because some people cannot. If you can see with two eyes, thank the universe for that, because some people cannot. If you can hear with two ears, thank the universe for that, because some people cannot, okay? So let's just start there. Go down the list, and from there, if you have water to drink, if you have food to eat, if you have a roof over your head, go down the list of things to be thankful for because you're sending out a signal of gratitude, and that's what you're starting with, and that's going to help immensely when it comes to creating this positive energy field. And that that's an energy that you want to extend to everybody around you. So think of everything that everybody else is doing for you. It doesn't matter who that person is, how small that task may seem, um thank them for it. Okay? Be grateful for it. Be grateful for what everybody does and smile at them and create an environment of gratitude. That's number one. And and you know what? If you're a parent and you have kids, um you brought those kids into the world, so you should be grateful for those kids in your life and think about the ways they make you smile and the way that those kids make you feel fulfilled and happy. It I mean, it doesn't matter if we're we're not talking about somebody who's just showing up and doing a service for you. You know, if you have a spouse, if you have, you know, whatever your significant other is, you know, think about what they are doing for you and and have gratitude. Now the second thing is to take some action. And here is the secret to that. And this may seem so counterintuitive, but it's true. The next thing you want to do is to take some money and give it away. Now there are two ways, well, there are two main ways of doing this. I was gonna say three, but that's a kind of a different category. The one I like the best is giving money away anonymously. Because one form of money is like let's say you're giving a generous tip or something like that. Let's say you give a waiter or a waitress or some kind of server a generous tip. That is a form of giving away money that was not expected. So that counts. But the problem is you also are expecting to be rewarded. You want them to be like, oh my god, you're so great. How oh my you know, thank you. It's like sometimes I'll go into a restaurant and I'll leave a tip that's so big that the waitress will start crying or the waiter will start like flipping out or whatever, you know. And uh and I get a kick out of that, but see, that's kind of self-serving, though, isn't it? Because I'm because it it's almost like you're you are eliciting a reaction. So I prefer to give money anonymously. And there are many different ways you can do that. Um now, for one thing, if you just pick a charity or two or three out, it could be like, I don't know, the Red Cross or you know, St. Jude or the uh ASPCA or like you know, whatever it is that you're into. Uh just give them some money from time to time, whatever charity's out there, uh they're gonna know who it's coming from, but you don't have to tell anybody else it's coming from you. Uh that's a thing. You don't want to be in a position where you're rewarded. The the most basic way of doing this, however, is to literally take something like a $20 bill and intentionally leave it somewhere so that somebody will find it. You know, leave it in a bathroom or stuff it in a little crack at a gas pump or something like that, and then you know, you it's it's okay if you want to hide out and be creepy and watch the person find it, but but you're better off, I think, just to leave it and to walk away from it. Now, why does this work? Well, what are you doing when you do that? What you were doing is you are. Giving in the most selfless way possible money that is going to go to someone else. And that creates a powerful reaction because what do you think the reaction to that is? The reaction is the same thing happening to you. So you're going to send out this powerful vibe of generosity, of you know, not hoarding and being miserly or greedy. And look, I know it's tough because you've all heard the old Benjamin Franklin, you know, adage, a penny saved is a penny earned. And yes, there's truth to that. But that doesn't mean that that's the key to getting rich. Um there are plenty of rich people out there, and they give and they give and they give to charities all the time, and they find they can't give their money away. That the more they give, the more they receive. It becomes like a shocking life lesson. There are specific cases of this where if you try to give all your money away, you can't, because people are so amazed, and then suddenly this energy gets created that starts bringing it back to you. So if you're going to give, any giving is good, but you ought to give just a little bit more than makes you feel comfortable. That makes you cringe just a little bit. It's like being a weightlifter. You know, if you want your muscles to get bigger, you don't just lift what makes you comfy and then go home. No, you gotta push it that one extra little bit so that you're sore. That's when you know you you've broken those fibers that are gonna heal back stronger. So any giving is good on any scale, but what and everybody's scale is different, and everybody's situation is different. But give just a little bit more than makes you feel comfy, so you're like, oh, I'm giving too much. Do that. Push at that one extra step. If you're leaving money somewhere where you know somebody will find it, fine. If you're gonna give it to a charity and um you're not gonna tell anybody about it, fine. Uh that's the best way, I think. But there, you know, but that's not the only way. Like I was saying, you know, it's it's better than nothing to give money to even if if it's somebody who's gonna know it's coming from you. The other aspect of this that um I I uh hesitate to even get into this, but this is true. There is some value in giving something nice to yourself as well. Splurging a little bit on yourself from time to time. So, like, let's say, for example, you know, there's some something that you've wanted for a long time and you've thought about, and you're like, oh someday I'll spend the money on that. Well, the problem is if you feel that way, you're you're creating this uh signal of not being worthy and not having enough, and what you want to do is to feel abundant. So if you've never had that special item you've had your eye on at Joshua P. Warren's Curiosity Shop, well, maybe you should just say the hell with it and go there and treat yourself and invest in yourself. Buy something nice for somebody else. The idea here is to feel generous, to feel generous. And uh again it's counterintuitive, but if you give money away, then you're sending out the signal of generosity and money will come flowing back in your direction. It's amazing. You have to try it to believe it. If you're scared of it, start small and then build, and you will start to realize that this is one of the greatest secrets to attracting more money in your life. Give and you will receive. I'll leave you with one last thing. Of course, the storm season has kicked in. Um there's a lot of rain on the east coast of the United States. Hurricanes are about to set back in. Last year, when Puerto Rico got hit by two hurricanes in, I guess, like two weeks, um, all my friends were saying, God, I wish I had a sunshine simple solar generator. They still are having power problems in Puerto Rico, and if they get hit by another hurricane, who knows what's going to happen? Well, you know, I created the Sunshine Simple Solar Generator Company with my partner Mobius, and I got to the point where I was like, I'm so busy, I cannot, I cannot operate this company. So I sold Mobius my share. He now owns the company, and he sent me this email, and he said, This is the season when the storms are about to kick in, and I want you to let everybody know who listens to your podcast that I will give them a discount. Um he says, What at least a hundred dollars, uh, but you know what, you might be able to talk him into more. I don't know. At least a hundred dollars only for podcast listeners. And if you want any of the other special prototypes that are on the website, basic units for lighting, charging phones, USB, all that kind of stuff, um, he'll give you a discount on that as well. But this is only for a limited time. So go to sunshinesimple.com. SunshineSimple.com. Uh when you go there, look at the stuff that he has. If there's something you'd like for him to customize, that's a possibility. There's a link there that says contact us. And if you click that, it will give you an email address which is business at shadowboxent.com. So you can just go to sunshinesimple.com and click the contact link and tell him you're a listener of the podcast, and he'll work with you. Uh, if you have any problem communicating with him, you can also just go to my website, and that is joshuapeewarren.com. That's where you'll find my curiosity shop. Joshua PWarren.com. If you want to email me, you can scroll down to the bottom of the homepage and you'll find my email address. At the top, you'll find all kinds of cool links to cool things, including a link to this podcast. It's called Joshua P. Warren Daily. It's always short, it's always free.
