Originally starting out in 2010 until 2021 our work was based around our flagship weekly radio programme SacredSpace102fm (SS102fm); now the C&SI team aims to work on various podcasts which contribute to the New Evangelisation and spread hope and faith online and on air. This page hosts C&SI's podcasts including our weekly podcast as well as other recordings and inspirational talks which we would like to share with you our listeners.
For our historic information and programme content you can also visit our old blog (2010 to 2019) at https://sacredspace102.blogspot.com/ (Please note that the blog is no longer being updated).

SacredSpace102fm - 3 November 2019 - IIPS Programme of Formation for Lay Pastoral Ministry and Leadership
On this weeks programme John and Shane are joined by Fr Eamonn Fitzgibbon from the Irish Institute for Pastoral Studies to talk to us about the Programme for Pastoral Lay Ministry which the IIPS is helping to facilitate. We have our regular notices and saints of the week as well as a brief reflection on this weeks Sunday gospel.
This training programme is designed and developed as an initiative across the Dioceses of the Cashel Province in association with the Irish Institute for Pastoral Studies at MIC Thurles. It provides training for those who are interested in working as volunteer catechists or lay pastoral workers at parish and pastoral unit level by developing a programme with rich academic content and pastoral skills while at the same time promoting the personal and spiritual development of the participants with an awareness of the cultural context in which participants will minister. The programme is both practical and theoretical and is grounded in pastoral spirituality.
The programme runs for 30 months. The programme normally runs one weekend per month (Friday evening and all-day Saturday for 8 months per annum). After an initial six month period of discernment the candidate enrols in a credited Certificate in Pastoral Ministry awarded by Mary Immaculate College.
Information evening in Newcastle West at the Longcourt Hotel at 7.30pm Wednesday 27th November.
