Originally we started out from 2010 until 2021 when our work was based around our weekly radio programme SacredSpace102fm (SS102fm) on West Limerick 102fm. Now we share our work via this page including our weekly podcast as well as other recordings and inspirational talks which we would like to share with you our listeners. Since August 2025 it also now includes our new weekly radio programme "Come & See Inspirations" as we have returned on air on West Limerick102fm.

SacredSpace102fm - Reflecting on Advent - 1 December 2019 (S10E1)
On this weeks programme John is joined again by Fr Frank Duhig. As we enter the season of Advent and the beginning of a new liturgical year, Fr Frank shares some reflections with us.
The word Advent comes from the Latin word Adventus, meaning arrival or coming. Advent talks about two comings, First we recall the birth of Jesus and also about the coming of Jesus at the end of time.Our readings at Mass during Advent help us to prepare for the coming of Jesus, to open our hearts to welcome him. This period of waiting allows us to take stock of our lives, looking to see what lies in our hearts that should not be there and remove any obstacle that prevents us from welcoming Jesus. The Sacrament of Confession fits perfectly into Advent as it prepares us for Christmas in a more meaningful way.
We also include a short reflection on the Advent wreath.
