Today everyone seems to be offended, or offensive. As Christians, we are called to more. The Lord wants us to avoid offense, and being personally offensive as much as is possible. Sure, the gospel offends. The Bible offends. Jesus is offensive. And we can't keep from offending some people, but we should diligently seek to not be "hurtful" and to not allow others to hurt us. The Bible teaches us that when we "sin against"/offend a brother we also sin against Christ! It teaches us to forgive and to love.
