Here's an awesome snippet of me doing some instructional guidance with one of my TOEFL students who attends Chulalongkorn University here in Bangkok, Thailand. If you hear how she speaks, sometimes she says between 50-85% of the word, which could be a big problem. Also, she runs over the linkers/discourse markers very quickly, so what I told her to do was to slow down her pronunciation in general and try using the rising intonation and fall.
