She Snaps

The regular Mind of Snaps podcast is on a hiatus still, but I'm working on bringing it back. There ARE still more podcasts available on my Mind of Snaps Youtube channel, but they just haven't found their way here yet.

I will be releasing Positivity Podcasts from my Patreon here on a daily basis for at least the next week. I'm doing my part to put out as much positive and encouraging content as I can during these intense times we're faced with. If you'd like to make it easier for me to dedicate the time to continuing these on a daily basis after that, subscribing to my Twitch channel, tipping, dropping bits in Twitch and/or subbing via the Patreon can make a massive difference - but so can just tweeting out my content, sharing it on socials or telling a friend you think could use a boost. Every little bit counts...literally.

This is my 9th Positivity Podcast on the Patreon and I hope it reminds you that in order to take care of others (which I know so many of us strive to do) you MUST take care of yourself first.

The format for these podcasts definitely evolved over time, but I hope you enjoy listening, even though times have changed.

Listen, and let me know your thoughts.

Hang in there friends, we're all in this together.

Also subscribe to the Patreon if you'd like to make it easier for me to create more free content for everyone.

Hello, my friends. I hope that you're taking good care of yourselves. During this time, I was just listening to the positivity podcast. But I'm gonna be sharing with you today. It is from August 6th, 2018 and it is still 100% accurate to take care of others. I need to take care of myself. That is the affirmation. That is the phrase that's being used in this particular positivity podcast and holy shit, especially given what's going on right now. This it's still very important to get through to yourself to take care of others. You need to take care of yourself, my friend. You cannot pour from an empty cup. Be kind to yourself. Think about who it is that maybe watching as you sacrifice your own health for others your own mental space for others. Prioritize yourself, my friends. I hope you enjoy the podcast. And I hope you have a good day. Hey, guys, Happy Monday. Thank you again for being so great and supporting the patriot. I appreciate you so much. It is your generosity that allows me to keep doing the things that I really love to do. Including these Monday morning. Positivity podcasts. Today's affirmation that I would like you all to consider is very, very simple, but so often overlooked. It is simply to take care of others. I need to take care of myself. That's it. Say it with me this time to take care of others. I need to take care of myself. This one is seriously challenging for some, and I can completely understand it. For so many of us. We struggle to even like ourselves on a daily basis. So the idea of putting ourselves first can seem not only difficult but also almost unnecessary. It is so easy to look at yourself as someone who doesn't deserve regular, too from others or from yourself. Hopefully you listen the last week's Monday morning positivity podcast, because that should hopefully give you a good base to work with as well. Just remember, are enough. You are smart enough, you are capable enough, and you are worthy enough of all the love and positive energy this world can provide. So start prioritizing yourself. I know sometimes it feels like it's easier to think about all the other people around you and how much they need your support. But if you're not, you're bust version of you. Do you think you're gonna be able to help them become the best versions of themselves? Taking care of yourself first is a great way to lead by example. Something I've always wanted to do is help people. I want to be the person who others go to when they're feeling down or when they're feeling stuck. And while I've always had a handful of folks who s for my supporter, my advice? When I started taking better care of myself, the amount of people who started reaching out increased drastically. Do you know why? It's because they can clearly see that things are different that I'm and they want to know my secret instead of just being a sounding board for your friends or family members who are struggling. Wouldn't you rather know? You can also point them in the right direction after the event. Wouldn't it be great if you were living your life in such a way that even the most stubborn your friends or relatives could no longer deny that something has changed for the better? I get messages regularly from people who ask me how to help others. People will say things like, My mother is very angry and judgmental or my brother is struggling, and I don't know how to help him see that he needs to take care of himself. How do I help them? How can I get them to feel better? How can I get this person to be more positive? I usually respond with a question rather than an answer. What are you doing for yourself? Do you have a good routine in place? What habits do you have that allow you to manage your mental and physical health better? The usual answer I receive is something along the lines of what I sometimes go for walks when I'm angry or well, sometimes I do yoga or I take time to disconnect from my devices, and that's it. No daily routine, no habits that encourage regular learning and growth. No self care period. People love toe, learn from others. But the best way for them to learn from you is for you to lead by example. Show them that you're working on yourself and share with, um, all the things you've learned that have helped you rather than just I'm sorry you're going through that you can say I've been there before, and this is what I do. Know how it helps. I'm leaning heavily on the how to help others side of this topic for a reason. So many of you do not have any drive to work on yourselves. Four. Yourselves to many of you would rather know that you could make someone else's day brighter instead of knowing you can brighten your own day. First, it's not a bad thing that you care for others, but if you want to do it properly, in my opinion, you have got to start taking care of yourself first. Parents, I think, struggled the most. With this concept. The world will have you believe that your life stopped when your kids began, and now all you can do is sacrifice everything to keep your kids happy and on the right track. That idea is such bullshit. Sacrifices will happen, of course, when you become a parent. But the last thing that you should sacrifice is your own well being. Otherwise, you're just teaching your kids that when they grow up and have families of their own, that they are also supposed to stop focusing on themselves and suddenly live every moment for their kids. Is that the type of life you want them to lead? You put all your focus and energy into improving someone or something else. Whether it, Emily, your friends, your job, you will burn out eventually. Sorry to say it, but it's the damn truth If you don't learn some effective ways to manage your own energy levels and take care of yourself, there are outbursts and burnouts in your future. Take that from me. I have been there. Get yourself in balance. Start a good routine that is focused around you and your needs mentally, physically, spiritually, everything doom or things that bring you joy so you can show others how great it feels to be balanced and joyful. You are 100% capable of changing the lives around you for the better, but it starts with you. Feed that beautiful fucking brain of yours. Start asking more questions, start seeking more answers, learned to overcome that you can teach others how to overcome. I recommend this book frequently, but I'm going to do it again because I think it is the perfect book to start with, take some time this week and read Miracle Morning by hell Rod. It's a quick read, and it can get you into a great routine that allows you to sit closer to becoming a 10 out of 10 version of yourself. When you are the best version of yourself. When you're firing on all cylinders and you're working hard to grow and learn daily life opens up to you. Seriously, I talk about this a lot, too. But when I started working on myself, everything in my life changed. My relationships changed, my environment changed myself. Care and self love improved and new opportunities flow in almost daily. It is honestly almost shocking just how fast things start to improve when you start to improve yourself. So remember today's affirmation and make it a goal to live it to take care of others. I need to take care of myself first. Say it again out loud to yourself right now to take care of others. I need to take care of myself first. Now get out there and take care of yourselves. You got this. Have an incredible week. Guys. Come in and say hi and stream whenever you have the time. I'm always excited to hear about where you're at on your own personal journey. And I believe that self care is one of the first places you need to start. Have an awesome day. An incredible week. Thank you again for all of your support. Much love dudes by
