She Snaps

The regular Mind of Snaps podcast is on a hiatus still, but I'm working on bringing it back. There ARE still more podcasts available on my Mind of Snaps Youtube channel, but they just haven't found their way here yet.

I have been releasing Positivity Podcasts from my Patreon here for a while now and I'd like to know if you'd like more of these to be released. I'm doing my part to put out as much positive and encouraging content as I can during these intense times we're faced with. If you'd like to make it easier for me to dedicate the time to continuing these on a daily basis after that, subscribing to my Twitch channel, tipping, dropping bits in Twitch and/or subbing via the Patreon can make a massive difference - but so can just tweeting out my content, sharing it on socials or telling a friend you think could use a boost. Every little bit counts...literally.

This is my 15th Positivity Podcast on the Patreon and I hope it inspires you to keep doing your best. You got this.

The format for these podcasts definitely evolved over time, but I hope you enjoy listening, even though times have changed.

Listen, and let me know your thoughts.

Hang in there friends, we're all in this together.

Also subscribe to the Patreon if you'd like to make it easier for me to create more free content for everyone.

Hi, friends. Happy Monday. This particular positivity podcast is gonna be coming from October 13th to the 2018. And today is March 30th 2020. I feel like this one doesn't even really need much of an introduction. I think I was a little fired up. Circumstances may have changed, but you still have so much you can do for yourself. I hope you take the time. You deserve to feel good. You enjoy the podcast, my friends. Good morning, everyone. I'm so grateful that you've chosen to listen to this. I'm so grateful for your support for the Patriot and for my streams and the podcast in all things, everything. I'm just I'm in a great mood right now, so I'm very excited to do this positivity podcast for you. And I know the format of these has changed a little bit on and off, but I really do like, like affirmations a lot. So as I was thinking today about how to kind of structure today's, it occurred to me that there was something we could certainly turned in to an affirmation. So what I want you to say to yourself today and every day is I do my best every day. That's it. Just I do my best every day and the reason why I think this is important. I've referenced this shows so much lately, but oh my gosh, it's so great. I was watching Queer Eye, right? It was a wonderful episode. They're dealing with firefighters in this particular episode that I was watching, and I was really enamored with this episode, too, because my dad was a firefighter growing up and before he had to retire from getting injured, and I always wondered how he dealt with some of the things that he encountered. Unfortunately, he didn't always deal in the most healthy manner. But what I saw when I watched this show they were talking to one of the firefighters and they were asking about what it's like when he goes home at the end of the day, how he can kind of separate himself from some of the honestly traumatic things that they endure because they're trying to save lives and sometimes they aren't able to. And what a heartbreaking concept for someone who gets into being a firefighter or any job you know, because they want to make a difference. They want to help. They want help save lives. And that feeling of I didn't do it, I wasn't able to. That has to be just awful. So they're They're talking to one of the fireman about how how he separates himself, how he's able to go home and and let go of the things that went on in his day. And what he said is something I've been hearing a lot frequently because you guys know I do a ton of reading. I do a ton of video watching Ted talks inspirational people, motivational people and this idea of I did my best. I do my best every day. It's an interesting one because it's so simple. But it really does give you a chance to just kind of like, cut yourself some slack. And that's basically what these firefighters were doing at the end of each day. As long as they could tell themselves I did my very best. It didn't necessarily matter, and not in the sense that, like everyone's lives and everything don't matter. But they could at least let go. They could give themselves a break and not punish themselves for not being able to save all of the people that they want to save. And no matter what you're doing in your life, no matter what goals you're trying to achieve, I think that's a great mentality to have. I do my best every day. I did my best today because, really, what else can you do? What more could you want from yourself? What more could you ask of yourself other than to really do your best? And a lot of us don't do that. A lot of us don't do our best, and some of it is is fear. We're scared that we'll do our best and we still won't succeed. And then we might feel bad like we We aren't what we thought we were because we did our best and we didn't accomplish everything we wanted. But that's just the nature of life. As long as you do your very best and you know you did your best, cut yourself some slack, give yourself a break, love yourself a little and accept that a lot of us will do our very best and still fall short. Sometimes we'll do our very best and still not achieve the results that we wanted. But if you did your best, at least you know that's all you could have done for the people who don't even try. That must weigh on you so much harder because instead of being able to say I did my best, I tried. You have to sit there and think like what could happen, what will happen, what might have happened. And for me, that's not a life I want to live. I don't wanna be looking back and saying I wonder what could have happened? I don't want to be looking at things and saying, Man, if only I had tried a little harder Everything I do, I want to know I did my best. So that's where I'm tryingto trying to gear my life towards, and that's what I would love. To see you guys do is well, is take that mentality of I did my best and anything after that. Just take a deep breath. Acknowledge, recognize your human. We can on Lee do so much. It's not on you to save everyone. It's not on you to be perfect all the time to have the best art to have the bust. Speaking voice to be the bust employee whatever, as long as you are being the bus that you can be as a parent, as a friend, as a lover, whatever, that's all you can ask for. And I think one of the things that allows you to ensure that you did your best is to make sure that you keep growing because as long as you keep growing, you keep challenging yourself to be a little better than you were yesterday. And then you can really have confidence that you did your best, that you did everything you could with what you had with what you've learned with where you were in that moment and then just keep learning, learned from any mistakes, learn from any attempts. I don't even want to call him failures because I think it's not a failure unless you stop there. So any attempt you make to accomplish something if you don't make it so what did you do your best? I hope the answer is yes. If the answer is no, then what are you going to change? How are you going to make sure that the next thing that you do the next project that you take on the next thing that you encounter or work through in your life. How are you gonna make sure that you really are giving it your best? Where are you struggling right now? Are you not the best communicator? Are you not the best listener? Do you struggle to remember things that are important? Do you struggle to stay organized? A motivated stay focused. Whatever it is, these things can all change. You can always get better. You are not fixed and who you are right now, You are a beautiful, evolving person. Every day, every moment of your life. So keep doing your best and keep doing your bust for yourself too. If you can look at yourself and say I did the best I could for myself today, that's a great fucking feeling. And that means, you know, accepting that sometimes you just don't have enough time, but not this bullshit. I don't have time because, you know, I'm just so, so busy. I can't possibly read a book or do anything to better myself because that's bullshit. You always have more time than you recognize. Sit down at one point in your day in your life and start mapping out your hours and you will see just how much time you actually have that you're ignoring. So if you've gotten to that point where you know that you're maximizing all of your time, then I think it's a lot easier to say I did my best. I did my best to be my best self. And then I used that best version of myself that I have today, and I applied it to whatever the fuck I was doing. Do your best for you. Do your best in your tasks. Do your best with everyone. And if things don't work out the way you want it, it's okay. What more can you ask of yourself other than to do your best? Really? Why put more pressure on yourself to be other people's version of the best when what you really need to be focusing on is you being the best version of yourself every single day? Be yourself. Love yourself. Learn a little bit about yourself every day, learn ways that you can improve every day and then take that shit and go tackle your life. You are capable of so so much we talk about it all the time. And I think some of you are starting to see just how true it is. But damn you really are. You could do anything, Do the best that you can every day be able to look yourself in the eyes in the mirror and say today I did my best. I do my best every day. I do my best every day. I did my best at work today. I did my best with my family today I did my best with myself care today I did my best with whatever projects you're working on, your creativity. If you are doing your best, that is all you need to do. Do your best. Learn a little bit every day and also do your best to love yourself. Really? You're amazing. You're a beautiful fucking person. And I'm so grateful to know you. And when I say that, it's so cool. Like I said, I think in the last podcast I get I get this sense of who I'm talking to because the patriot is so limited right now. So when I say this, I know a lot of you very personally. You're fucking great. Start applying yourself to yourself. Start applying yourself to your surroundings and just do your damn best. Fuck what anyone else thinks. Fuck what they say. If you know deep in your heart that you did your best, then that that was a successful day, my friend. Do your best. So say it with me. I do my best every day. I do my best every day and then go do some great things. Dude, be your best self. Live your best life. You deserve amazing things. You deserve happiness. And I know I know that you're gonna find it in yourself. Especially when you do your best. Thanks for listening. Thanks for supporting. I fucking love you guys. Have a great day by E.
