Joining Dianna for this week's BEACH CORNER is actor, director, stage manager, drama instructor and mother, Laura LaChapelle. Laura recently joined forces with co-director of Active Arts, Deanne Service. Both have worked in the past on three Pantos. Together they are bringing some exciting musical theatre program for children and youth via Active Arts and Wasaga Beach Parks and Rec.
The “Musical Theatre Program” is designed for ages 13 to 18 and auditions are being scheduled on Friday, February 7th from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Wasaga Beach Arena located at 425 River Road West and Saturday, February 8th from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Active Arts Studio above the SuperStore. Active Arts “Song and Dance Musical Theatre” for ages 7 to 12 starting as of Saturday, February 22nd from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. is a ten-week program with a performance planned at the end of the program. Call 705-441-5325 to register for this class.
“Cinderella” Children’s Theatre and Acting is for ages 6 to 12 every Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Wasaga Beach Arena – Recreation Hall scheduled as of March 18th. Contact the Wasaga Beach Parks and Rec at 705-429-3321 to register.
