They’ve been performing together on stage for thirty-years, Mike and his wife, Erica Prinn-McCarthy form The Mike McCarthy Band and have since expanded to a seven-piece band including their talented son, singer/songwriter and guitarist, Austin, which I had the pleasure of interviewing in the past.
A five-song EP is in the works that will include three original songs recorded prior to COVID-19 along with a brand new tune titled “County Line” plus one more to be produced.
Recently The Mike McCarthy Band participated at a sold out Duntroon Highlands Golf Course in support of South Georgian Bay Music Foundation. Since then, a live video, a collection of three original songs from the Duntroon Show, has been submitted to the “Unmissables”, the must-see events of the virtual 2020 Collingwood Art Crawl set to begin as of September 19th.
