The foods we do eat affect our Mental Health -5 Basic Food Groups

The five food groups are Fruits, Vegetables, Grains, Protein Foods, and Dairy. If there’s one concept health researchers have come to agree on it’s this: What you eat matters! 
Why? Because “the composition, structure, and function of the brain are dependent on the availability of appropriate nutrients.” There is clear evidence that diet has an effect on cognitive function later in life. 
The foods that we eat do affect our moods, feelings, and cognitive function. A diet focused on fruits and vegetables, lean proteins and whole grains can help to boost mental health. We all need a boost. 
Our goals should be a diet rich in fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins to help improve our overall mood and general feelings of happiness.  

Anxiety can trigger depression and other behavioral physical and mental health issues. It is especially hard if you are dealing with other personal, work, relationship, or family-related issues. It is okay to ask for help.
