Perhaps you’ve heard people say things like “Christians are intolerant to atheists or agnostics or people of other religions or people who don’t hold to a biblical view of sexuality. If Christians were more humble, they wouldn’t claim to know absolute truth, they would let everyone have their own version of truth, and that would lead to tolerance and acceptance because nobody would call anybody else wrong.”
Jesus did not present his teachings as optional suggestions for a better life. Yet, this man who made claims that were breathtakingly exclusive was shockingly inclusive in pursuing relationships that were thought to be scandalous.
