Things have changed a lot in the church. There were the days when the church could just open their doors and people were going to come...not anymore. In the past we did not have to defend our faith but as Christians we have to now. Students are going to schools/ colleges where teachers/professors are regularly questioning faith, ridiculing their religious convictions... We have to be more intentional... we don't change the message -the Word is unchanging and Perfect - but our methodologies must change. Sometimes circumstances change and a new strategy is required. Important thing is that we keep with the task God has set before us.
