The Rev. Dr. Christopher D. Girata is the eighth Rector of Saint Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church in Dallas, TX, founded over 70 years ago, and where today 6,500 parishioners of diverse ideologies worship and serve together in more than 100 distinct ministries. Previously, Chris served as Rector of Calvary Episcopal Church in Memphis, TN, Associate Rector at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Birmingham, AL, and as a seminarian at The National Cathedral in Washington, D.C. and at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Chevy Chase, MD. Chris holds degrees from Stetson University, Emory University, Virginia Theological Seminary, and Duke University. He is a recognized leader in the Episcopal Church, presenting regularly at church-wide conferences, including Virginia Theological Seminary and Jubilee Park & Community Center, and writes regularly for publications such as Katy Trail Weekly and The Dallas Morning News. Chris and his wife, Nicole, have three children.
