The Rev. Canon Anita Braden joined the staff of the Diocese of Arizona as Canon to the Ordinary in June 2019.
Braden was previously the Chaplain of St. Margaret’s School, an all-girls Episcopal boarding school, in Tappahannock, Virginia. She is in the final stages of obtaining her Doctor of Ministry from Virginia Theological Seminary. The thesis is untitled, but it will focus on the disciplines of educational leadership and Christian spirituality. She has experience working with large and small parishes, and served on the diocesan staff in Milwaukee as the Urban Missioner.
She enjoys talking about her love of Jesus and has a commitment to lifelong education and formation.
