CAN GOD REALLY MEET MY NEED? -- I KINGS 17:1-24
Nov 03, 2019

We all have one thing in common: We all have needs! We will experience some type of need at some time in life. It may be material (seems to be where we focus much
of our attention). It may be emotional needs, or physical needs. There will be times when our greatest need is spiritual. What do we do when these needs arise? The natural temptation is to worry, but we know that this is not God's will for us (Philippians 4:6 ; Matthew 6:25-33). But what about when we have reached the end of our rope and done all we know to do, when we've exhausted every resource and are left with the reality of our own inability. What do we do then? The answer is an answer given by Jesus Himself.
"And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God," Mark 11:22. God can take care of His children! When needs arise, doubts arise also. The devil may whisper, "Can God really meet my needs?" We can answer with a resounding, "Yes! He Can!" Our text shows why we can be assured that He can. We see:

  I.  THE MANY SIDES OF OUR NEEDS.
II.  THE MANIFEST SUPPLY OF OUR GOD.
III. THE MARVELOUS SECRET FOR GETTING NEEDS MET.
