TURNING BUFFETINGS INTO BLESSINGS -- II CORINTHIANS 12:1-10
Dec 08, 2019

Did you know that God designed the butterfly so its exit through the tight opening of the cocoon will straighten and strengthen its wings? We are not butterflies, but we need the pressures and trials of life to develop into all God has saved us to be. God tells us in James 1:2-3, ""My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; (3) Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience." The source of Paul's strength was his faith in  God. In our text, we see the buffetings Paul mentions, and we learn what this teaches us about problems, suffering, and trials in our own lives. What we learn will help us rise above the ordinary "Christian" life. We'll learn that trials will refine and prepare us to take flight for the glory of God. And, we'll see the benefits that come from buffetings. We see:

  I.  THE PAIN OF THE BUFFETINGS.
II.  THE PURPOSE OF THE BUFFETINGS.
III.  THE PROMISE IN THE BUFFETINGS.
IV.  THE "PRIZE" OF THE BUFFETINGS.
