When I was starting out as a marketer, I worked with all sorts of clients. Each time I got a new client, I was starting from scratch on their campaigns and funnels. It was a lot of work. At the time, I wished I could fire my worst clients and clone my best ones. I’m going to show you how to actually do this.
If you want to make more money with less work, you have to specialize in something. You need to pick one niche and become the best at getting results in your niche. If you have one client, then having five clients shouldn’t be fives times the work for you.
At the time I was figuring this out, I had clients in a bunch of different markets that each required a different approach. So, I fired all of my clients except the one that I was getting the absolute best results for. Then, I went out and found five more clients that looked the same; they had the same business model and same type of customer. I cloned the funnel from the one client I kept and sold it to these new clients.
What you’re essentially doing is franchising your funnel. If you’re a generalist, then you’re just a body for hire. Your clients will walk all over you because they know they can replace you in a second. However, if you own a niche, you can take the power back from your clients and be in control.
We can pick a niche and then write an email after we’ve gotten results for one business. We then make a contact list for all businesses that are similar and send an email sharing the results that we got for someone in their niche. Then we can ask them if they want to get the same results.
