If a kid wants to play baseball, he or she starts in tee-ball or little league and learns the basics. Without knowing basics, he or she really can't advance and definitely can't win. Its the same with our life in Christ. Once we say yes to a new life in Christ, it's essential that we learn the basics of following God. Without understanding some basics, and practicing those basics, and becoming more skilled in the basics, we can't advance and we definitely can't win.
