Speaker 1:

I like to start each episode with prayer, so let's pray together, god. We ask for clarity, understanding, renewed hope, healing and breakthrough. Life is worth living. Every listener matters and you have planted dreams within us for your reason. Use this episode to encourage and empower someone, amen.

Speaker 1:

Let's dive in and talk about manifesting by faith. You have probably heard phrases like these before. If you believe you can, you can. There's nothing you can't do if you set your mind to it. You are your only limit in life to achieving your dreams.

Speaker 1:

You may have heard these statements from someone who was trying to motivate you to get unstuck, set some goals and go after your fullest potential. These manifesting statements are wrapped up in the law of attraction, which says you will get back what you put out into the world, or the power of positive thinking, which says when you set your mind on positive things, more positive things will happen for you. Manifesting is based on the idea that you can think your dreams into reality. By having a clear vision and focusing on it, you can attract your dreams into your life. Do I think manifesting works to a point? Absolutely, it doesn't work a hundred percent of the time, but as a general rule, what you put out to the world, you will attract. I've seen this in leadership time and time again Toxic leaders will attract toxic people and empowering leaders will attract those who see value and potential in others. And, of course, we know the power of having a clear vision. People all the time are walking around with no goals, no ambition and no idea of where they wanna go in life. Having a clear vision of what you are doing, why you are doing it and where you are going changes everything.

Speaker 1:

Life is not a lottery of chance. If you are a person of faith who believes that God has given you wisdom, discernment and gifts to impact the world, should have a direction and vision for your life. Let me say that again If you are a person of faith who believes that God has given you wisdom, discernment and gifts to impact the world, you should have a direction and a vision for your life. You may be listening right now and you're thinking to yourself. I don't know what God wants me to do. I would just ask you this question what do you want to do with your life? If you believe that God loves you and he is with you, decide what you wanna do. God has empowered and equip you to create a life of significance that glorifies him and helps people. He hasn't handed you a pre-scripted life with a fully established blueprint for the way things must play out. A loving father doesn't tell his kids what to do. A loving father empowers his kids to stand on their own two feet and make decisions for themselves that align with their worth and honor him. Of course, I'm still going to pray and ask God to guide my life, but answer the question for yourself what do you wanna do with your life?

Speaker 1:

Manifesting, thinking your dreams into reality becomes real when you start manifesting by faith. Combine a clear vision with the confidence of knowing who you are in God and the commitment to walk that faith out in action, and you'll start seeing things that once seemed impossible become possible. Manifesting by faith it's different and it absolutely works. I've seen it time and time again. Someone, an average person, chooses to anchor their identity in God, not in a relationship, a career, a platform, a title or a position. This becomes the foundation for their life. God then starts planting the seeds of possibilities in their mind. A vision begins to grow, something they can't shake. They engineer a plan and take real action on that plan. Not random investments of time and energy, but consistent action and, before they know it, what was once an idea has now become reality. They leverage what's in front of them right now to help people, and God gets the glory. This is manifesting by faith.

Speaker 1:

This next point is important. Sometimes the vision God plants is small and seems insignificant at the time, or doesn't seem spiritual enough to even be from God. If you are a person of faith, walking by faith, be faithful to the vision, no matter how small it is or even if it doesn't make sense in the moment. Let me say that again If you are a person of faith, walking by faith, be faithful to the vision, no matter how small it is or even if it doesn't make sense in the moment. If the vision is to help one person, help that person. If the vision is to serve your family, then serve your family. If the vision is to launch that nonprofit, launch it. If the vision is to start that business, get it off the ground and grow it. Let God show you over time how it all connects and works together. Your responsibility is to be faithful to the vision. You probably know this already.

Speaker 1:

As you go after something, who you are, your identity, will always come under attack from your doubts and insecurities, past failures and shortcomings, or even the toxic voice of a parent figure who didn't believe in you. There will be a constant battle, especially in the beginning. In the beginning, to stay the course and believe in yourself, you have to believe in you Again. This is why manifesting by faith is different, because you are anchoring who you are in who he says you are. I will unpack this more in just a moment. I wanna share with you a four step strategy so you can start manifesting by faith. Here are the four steps Number one figure out who you are. Number two figure out what you wanna do. Number three figure out how you are going to do it. And finally, number four go do it. Step number one figure out who you are.

Speaker 1:

Many of you know that I lead from a faith foundation. My goal is to create change and develop other leaders, hopefully, who are better than I am and will rise higher than I have In all areas of life. My faith is my foundation. People have asked me how do you operate with such a different level of confidence and security? You must be wired differently. It's not about being wired differently, it's about being anchored differently. My identity, worth and value and power source all come from God. I never walk into a room insecure because I know that room and the people in it have no bearing on who I am. I move by faith and live in high expectation of what God can and will do. I know what Jesus has done for me and that alone keeps me focused and humble, committed to always learning, growing and serving. If you are listening to this episode and you're thinking I have anchored my identity in the wrong things, my foundation isn't secure and I want to be a leader who impacts the room instead of being defined by the room. Here are a few steps that I would recommend. This may feel a bit unique for a leadership podcast, but we are talking about manifesting by faith.

Speaker 1:

Believe that God is already working in your life I'm talking about right now, as you are listening to this episode and accept that what Jesus has done for you is enough. Read his word. Believe what he says about you. Spend time with him. Speak life into other people. Use your voice and stay focused. No conversations, no content, no critiques that are not in harmony with what God has said about you. Keep your eyes on Jesus, keep focused on your purpose and practice self control and discipline from faith. You are responsible for stewarding your identity for the rest of your life. Always go back to what God has said about you. Pay attention to what you are saying about yourself. Declare what is true about you every day and surround yourself with the right people who support what God has said about you. Why does this matter? It matters because you are not manifesting from scratch. You are manifesting from faith.

Speaker 1:

Step number two Figure out what you want to do. I want you to think about this in three stages. What do you want to do in the next 90 days, what do you want to do in the next three years and what do you want to do in the next 10 years? Set a vision for each stage. If you can't articulate your vision, a picture of what hasn't happened yet, you don't have clarity about it. There should be no mumbling or stumbling or lengthy explanations and nothing complicated. You should be able to share your vision with an elementary student with 100% comprehension of what you are talking about. Keep it simple. Many visions never happen because they are too complicated.

Speaker 1:

If you are struggling in landing on a 90 day, three year and 10 year vision, start with 90 days and ask a few people who know you and want to see you win. How can I impact the world the most with my gifts? Where would you love to see me in the future? What would my life, family and impact look like if you saw me at my best? Decide what you want and start putting a vision on a piece of paper. A friend and past podcast guest who runs a major Fortune 500 communications company would say this to every leader you have to decide what you want and you need to have a vision for your life.

Speaker 1:

Step number three figure out how you're gonna do it. Create a plan. What needs to happen every day, every week, every month for you to make progress with your vision? Just start moving. Find two in your plan as you go. Too many people stall out because they are either waiting for everything to be perfect, which is never going to happen, or they overcomplicate their plan. Create a plan that makes sense right now. You can always change and adjust the plan as you go. And finally, step number four go do it. Take action by working on your plan for 20 minutes a day. You may think that doesn't sound like a lot, but in one month that adds up to 10 hours of dedicated time every month to helping your dream or vision become a reality. That means progress. When you get discouraged, remember who you are. This is why manifesting by faith is different, and remember why your 90 day, three year and 10 year vision matters.

Speaker 1:

I can't overemphasize this point enough. You just have to do the work. You just have to put the work in every day. No one can do that for you. You have to do that for yourself, because what you are doing matters. If you put in the work, even at 20 minutes a day, you will be shocked at the progress and difference this investment will make for you and the people in your life who matter most.

Speaker 1:

Here's a quick story. I was speaking at an event in Florida when a young lady came up to me after my closing message. She stood there excited as if she had something to share, and she said that message was exactly what I needed to hear. And I have an idea I wanna build a text message community for college students who are on their phones all the time and are needing empowering messages and uplifting content. And she added not cliche stuff, but weekly messages that speak into what they are dealing with and what they are longing for Quick pause in the story. That's a vision. I responded to her by saying go for it and let me know how I can help. In the weeks that followed, she mapped out her basic next steps that's a plan and she went to work collecting contact information, developing a platform and curating and writing empowering messages. She was actually doing the work. We connected again in the months that followed and I asked her how are things going. She said it was a lot of work, but every week she shares life-giving content with over 500 college students and she told me the responses are proof that the work was worth it. And she said I really think this community and the content have saved lives. She was a young lady with an identity, a vision, a plan and a commitment to make it happen.
