Speaker 1:

This week's episode is brought to you by our friends at retouchup. Retouchup works smarter, not harder. Welcome to Get your Shoes Together. The photographer's podcast where we discuss studio business life and keeping it all in line. I am Kira Deriberi and I'm Mary Fishtailer. Hey, mary Fishtailer. Hello, it's been a minute. Good, it has been a minute. People are like are they doing it? I know, guys, we're back. I promise. Well, we're back, we're back. It's hard. It's hard to like you get through the holidays and then it's imaging and all this stuff, and now you're on spring break. We're trying to fit this in between your spring break I was just out of the country and the next week is my Virginia convention.

Speaker 1:

It's just, I don't know. This is the slow time of year, right? Keep reminding ourselves. I know I kept thinking like, oh, as soon as being president is over, I will have so much more time. And I was joking with somebody this morning. I was like I just, I just feel it Like every every day, I look at the calendar and I'm like, oh, I could do this that day and I could do this that day. And yeah, I just filled it.

Speaker 1:

Can I tell you the most hilarious girls funny thing that I have participated in, that you need that, we have to do. You know we have to do it. We may, we may let Jamie do it. I am bringing on, let me hear about it. All right, so I saw on Tik Tok where these two, two girls have two canvases you may have already seen this too, because our algorithm is very similar. So they have two blank canvases and for five minutes at a time. There you go. Okay, two canvases, two canvases, five minutes at a time. They paint anything, they just paint for five minutes, like it's not a paint by number, it's not. There's no plan. They paint opposite each other, where they can't see it, for five minutes, and then the timer goes off and then they swap and then they paint for five minutes and they're just working on each other's. They're going back and forth, they're working on each other's painting until they complete these paintings and they are hilarious and beautiful.

Speaker 1:

Okay, so I happen to know that you're going to be in Virginia. Can we do it? Yes, it's like. It's like the funnest painting, sip, I've ever done. Okay, I need to make a note. So I need to make a note, maybe we'll get.

Speaker 1:

Okay, this is who's going to do it. Okay, you, me, are you ready? Yeah, are you ready for it? Yeah, john Gress and Jamie. And what, if we? Can we just go like around in a circle? So that, yeah, that's what we did with my girlfriends.

Speaker 1:

So they came over and we bought four little tabletop easels and some acrylic paint I know you guys have paint, yeah and we did little 11 by 14 size canvases and we, just five minutes at a time, painted. We started with everybody like we, you know which one, you started with right, and so every five minutes we switched, rotated to the right, right, okay, and then added and then rotated to the right, and just kept doing it until it came all the way back around to you. And then, and then we were like, oh, we have to keep going. So we just kept going until we felt like it, and then everybody took home the one they started with.

Speaker 1:

I love this so much, it was so much fun, and I've not seen this. Now I will. I will be seeing it. Yeah, now we're talking about it, you'll see it. I've only seen it online or on TikTok or Reels, with two people passing back and forth, yeah, but we were like, well, as long as you have a circle or a four or whatever. You can just pass it around, you know. But it was. It's fun because there's like varying levels of quality of the painting. Like, obviously, I'm not a great painter, I'm not either, yeah, but you know, I think it would be funny because I think, like Jamie would take it very seriously, very seriously. I would be making like little little stickman and bunny figures and stuff. You know what I mean Like, yeah, it just, it got wild, it got wild. So I'm here for that. We couldn't stop laughing.

Speaker 1:

So that is a summer project that we will definitely, or spring project that we'll definitely do when we're in Virginia, I guess. Yes, I love it. We wrote it down. I need to make sure I have all the stuff, john. John, get ready, you're going to do it.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, john, if you're listening, buddy, he's always listening, he's always listening He'll overthink this. He'll have a plan. Yeah, I know we almost should have. We should have. We should have kept it to ourselves. We're just running on him. John don't listen, jamie doesn't listen, thank God. So no, jamie doesn't listen, jamie won't. No, he'll be in, though. He'll be 100%. Oh, he'll be in For sure. He'll be telling us what to do, he'll be critiquing our paintings. We don't want that. I can't wait, because mine is going to be complete, complete ridiculousness is what I'm going for. So, anyway, so we did that and I can't wait to. I can't wait to do it with you because I love that. I love it. So, yeah, so you had a got, you got a.

Speaker 1:

So March 1st, by the way, guys, is when everything changes on the board of directors. People rotate on and off and positions change. So March 1st, you moved to chair of the board. I did and you did a little getaway, right? Is that what happened? I didn't know, but I saw it on, I saw it on social media, oh yeah.

Speaker 1:

So my, my girls, you know the Wanderlust crew, a few of them came and my last night of the trans it wasn't on purpose that it was a trans the transition night between president and chair. Actually, I didn't even tell them because that's not something that's on their radar, really. You know, we had just planned it for that weekend and then I took them out for drinking. I was like so, guys, I'm president of PPA for one more hour, yeah, you know. And then we, we toasted and it was great, and, and it was, it was. It was so much fun. So what's so funny about them I've shared with you.

Speaker 1:

I know the FSU fountain yes, tiktoks, right or Reels, where there are just for those who haven't, there's an account called an Instagram, called FSU Chicks, and these, these kids, they climb in this big mount fountain on their 21st birthday, so they're super sober and they fall. They slide and fall out of the fountain. While they're trying to climb it, you know drinking champagne and it's just so dangerous and awful. It sounds terrible, terrible and but it's like you know, they all it's been happening for years. It's like a real liability, real problem. And every morning, you know, fsu pays somebody to come out there and clean up all the glass and drain the fountain and clean it and disinfect it and all this stuff, because it's got to be just a. It's just a death trap. I can't believe somebody hasn't really, really, really, really. It's a cesspool. It's a cesspool. There's some hepatitis swimming around there, so, but it gets really, really wild.

Speaker 1:

So when they came, they they were texting girls, were texting me. They're like we want to go to the fountain. I was like no, no, no, no, my husband works there, we're not going to the fountain. They're like no, please, please, please. But guess what? We went for drinks, you did. And then, yeah, and then they were like, please, we went and we didn't. You know, we just posed with the empty champagne bottles that were there or whatever. Oh, they were actually there.

Speaker 1:

I saw those like, oh, that's really bold, you're just drinking champagne in a college fountain. No, that we did not really drink it, it was there and it was. There was. There was many to choose from, in fact, any, actually any liquor you, you wanted out there was sitting empty out there. It was disgusting, but we picked up one and we posed with it. We got some girl that was just sitting there I don't know why she was sitting there, but she was just sitting there alone to take our picture and and then we were walking back to the car. I feel we're walking back to the car and these three young men were walking up, you know, obviously home from the bar up the hill and they high fived us and we're almost to the car and they're like where are you going? We're like we're going home. You know, it's like midnight, yeah, we're going home. These guys go, oh too bad. And then they get past us and they go some mother of an milf's right there. No, he just died.

Speaker 1:

Because because in one in one sense, flattering, flattering also disrespectful how can you both be flattered and disrespecting? It happens the older you get, the more that happens. We were like, I mean, not untrue, not no, definitely not untrue. Also, like, huh, we look, we really do. Yeah, we, we look like we don't belong on this, on this road right now, like we shouldn't be here. So, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. So for me I would be like that is actually very flattering, but I'm, you know, 54.

Speaker 1:

No, we were flattered, okay, because you didn't think that they thought you were students. First reaction was like who? Me? But then second reaction was kind of like, oh, it's because we were obviously in the wrong place, like, obviously, that's not. It's midnight College campus, we're on campus, what are? Why are they here? And here we are thinking we look like real, incognito, casual, like goodies and whatever you know, like maybe y'all are actually college, y'all belong there, like that's where? Yeah, we definitely it was. It was very obvious that we were someone's moms, like I mean, like clear as a clear as a bell, and the truth is our kids are almost that age.

Speaker 1:

So, yeah, it was a, it was a fun, it was a great, it was a great weekend and a, you know, just real weird way to send it off. You know what I mean. I mean it wasn't on purpose, like I said, but for it to. But it was great, we had a great time. So, did you? Did you stay in Tallahassee the whole weekend?

Speaker 1:

So we, we did a little tour. We stayed in Tallahassee on a Thursday. We drove to Appalachicola and did a Friday there at the Gibson Inn and then went to St George the next day for lunch. St George Island and beach, and then we went and stayed at our house in Panacea and then they left. So we just did a little tour and it's actually, it's my, it's kind of my favorite. It's become my favorite little tour because all those towns are tiny and close together and really you don't need a bunch of days at any of them. You know what I mean, because they're you just do the thing that's fun to do there for that day. You know, appalachicola we went shopping, we ate a bunch of great food, went out for a little while. St George beach great food. You know it's too cold to be on the beach a lot over there right now, and then at our house we had like soft pants, pajama party day, nice, so, and and it was great, and we and we also binged this show.

Speaker 1:

Mary, I don't know if you're I don't even know our listeners or if you're ready for this show. Okay, you know how, you know. You know what my favorite show is? Right, yes, naked and afraid. Right, naked and afraid. Naked and afraid. Yeah, do you know about the show naked attraction? Nope, I'm gonna be honest y'all, I don't what. I pretty, I don't. I, I'm not watching pretty much of Naked's in the title. I'm probably not watching it, I. So what I'm saying, I don't know if you're ready, I don't know if I'm ready, I just guess I'm not. I, okay, it's a British show, it's been on for six seasons and it's called naked attraction and they do it by Revealing. They have five contestants.

Speaker 1:

Think of it as like love connection, where there's just one, one party and she's going on Multiple dates with with people, right, but instead of going on dates, she's standing there and there are people being revealed to her from the lower half upwards. So they start With the, the full Monty, lower half. That's where they start and then, as she eliminates people, are they actually naked? Yes, so, yes, hold on hold on, hold on a minute. A need a minute. I need a cotton pickin minute. Yes, all right, so it's like Love connection, but you can see the bot waist down. Yes, so you remember a love connection.

Speaker 1:

You'd watch a bunch of videos and then they'd pick from the videos. Right, you know, I thought they just listened to them, did they? I know they actually like watch their videos. I think you have the dating game, that's all. Yeah, no wrong game, so now?

Speaker 1:

So, instead of watching videos, okay, I imagine that you're just looking at, yeah, full frontal nudity, and the way there it's commented on right is like the the host, who's delightful. You love the woman. Who's the host? She's so cute and she is hilarious. Right, she's obviously a comedian or something. And she comes over and she's like now, why are you eliminating the red one? You know, red, orange, pink, yeah, there's like a rainbow, mm-hmm. Yeah, why are you eliminating green? You know, well, not so tidy is it? And I'm talking, they zoom and it's just like you can't believe this is happening. And, yeah, I can't believe we're having this conversation, much less. I'm just telling you, I'm just I'm I don't Know there's, there's like the spoilers are up front right, like it's, it's Wow and and it just goes on into.

Speaker 1:

Eventually they reveal the, the face and the voice and you know the whole thing. And they're just naked. They're just naked. And then when they get it rejected you know, every round she rejects somebody and they come down and then like, if they're disappointed, like if the, if the woman's like, oh, that guy was actually kind of cute, you know what I mean like she'll be, like, oh, I'm so sorry. And then they'll like awkwardly hug, and then the guy will just walk off naked. And I don't even underst, I just I Know, in the last round, where there's just two left, right, there's the she eliminates right until there's I think it starts With five or six there's two left. In the last round she comes out naked and so now, not the host, never the host.

Speaker 1:

But then they, they interrupt things with yeah, right, they interrupt things with little facts, little like sex education facts, like throughout the whole thing, and it's like it becomes like this weirdly medical and you become like desensitized to it, because once they're like in their little British accent, like just going, you know, yeah, why did you eliminate this one? I'm sure I should go, but why I did you? Huh, and it's, and it's all you know. It's it's LGBTQ friendly, so it's just every you know there's, basically, they have Whoever that other person is attracted to, that's who's gonna appear in the boxes. So it's wild, it's Wild, hmm.

Speaker 1:

So I'm just, I'm just gonna put it out there that it is on HBO Max, okay, and I thought I was like. I thought I was like being crazy because I was watching, but love is blind. Oh no, yeah, I love, love is blind. As you know, I'm much discussed there and, although I'm kind of annoyed with all those, very annoyed with all this line right now, but I did, I'm waiting for the finale, I'm waiting for the reunion. We'll see what I need to see, the reunion. I need to see what we're gonna say about it. Don't even get me started. But I thought that was crazy, like for me, that's like okay, crazy, yeah, no, you haven't seen crazy. And then we were.

Speaker 1:

So I was watching it with, you know, alson, who you know, and and some of the other girls and Alson's like, well, we have to see if they make, if they, if they're a match, like you know, because they go on a date at the end Clothed date, okay at the end and then they check in with them two weeks later to see if they're gonna be interested. Yeah, and so Alson, like she, because we have to watch more, because I have to see, we have to find a match, like I want to see who matches. Like, cuz I was like, well, imagine that, like people aren't matching based on, like just seeing the goods, like immediately up front. Imagine, like I just don't even understand what that says, like I don't even understand. I mean, okay, fine, you know what, fine, you know, I'm just, hmm, I don't even know. Huh, if the opposite of love is flying to me, think about it. It's the opposite of a lot, it's, it's, it's the opposite of a lot of things. Like love is full frontal, like that's what it is. I don't, I don't know. I want to know how do you find people to be on these shows? How do you say, hey, hey, do you want to be on TV? Okay, but you got to be on naked.

Speaker 1:

Well, you know what love is blind. You know, we know they head hunted some people on social media, right, like that's, that's the rumor, I'm sure, I'm sure, right, I don't know. These are not love is blind caliber. I'm, I want to say, like they're normal people. They're not always. You know, there's some very beautiful people in love is blind and there's some very most people love a blind, are very pretty. I don't think they're average people like I know.

Speaker 1:

I feel like, if you, I don't feel like you're really risking much being on love is blind, because I was just talking to my daughter about this, I was like there's no ugly people on love is blind. There's isn't like I don't what, what are you really risking? Because, honest to goodness, I feel like everybody on there is beautiful. So I feel like that that is misleading, because I don't feel like, well, that's what I'm saying is naked attraction. There are very average people on it. They look like that your mailman there's. There's some very, very average, very average, and I'm all for body positivity, but I'm gonna be honest, I don't know. I don't. Mm-hmm, it was. Yeah, it's not it. This is not a love is blind batch of people. So I don't know what instead of.

Speaker 1:

I don't think it paid a lot of money. I don't know if there's not enough money in the world. There's just not enough money in the world. I don't know if it's a looser. I mean, I know that other countries are less worried about sex than the US. Like we are British, they're more uptight than Americans. No offense, tell the Brits out there. Ah, well, not this show. This is not it. This is not a. This is a British show. I don't know what channel it comes on in Britain, but it's been six seasons. Six seasons, so it's not new. Not not a new show. New to me, you know. Yeah, anyway. So Naked attraction. I will say it's not my favorite show. I what? But? But? But also I can't tell you how happy I am to hear that, yeah, not my favorite show.

Speaker 1:

I don't watch naked and afraid because I like the naked people. I watch naked and afraid because it's so Crazy to me that you would do this and I'm fascinated by it. I think anybody that's gonna put themselves out in the wilderness and try to survive, I think that's crazy enough. I don't even need you to be naked. I think just getting out there In the wilderness is crazy enough. Like that's all I need, right, yeah, just going outside.

Speaker 1:

Generally, eyes in yard work today and I'm out there doing yard work. That's crazy. I mean I could. I could run into a snake. Ah Well, what I do here? I am just hacking away at these weeds. I'm like what if a snake? And then I scare myself taking a break. That's what happens, just move. Well. Then I was like what if there's a hornet's net, hornet's nest in the ground that I can't see and I'm gonna disturb it. Like, do I have, do I have a plan? No, well, we, can I escape? Can I? Can I run fast enough in my blocking my way? So this is just thoughts, and then sometimes I'll scare myself into sitting down.

Speaker 1:

And this, my friends, is why her yard work For your work's not done. Hmm, it's not done. In fact, I abandoned it completely to come, do I? I? Well, you know, I mean, who am I? Who am I to judge?

Speaker 1:

This week's theme is leisure time and how we spent it. No, this is how Kira spending her leisure time. Mary fistailer is not doing that. I have other crosses to bear, but it's definitely not. It has nothing to do with being naked, watching shows about naked people or yard work at all. I just put that out there in case there was any any misunderstanding. No, which I don't feel like there are.

Speaker 1:

I feel like, if you know me, you probably already figured this part out, but just just in case, just in case, just in case. Well, you know what it's good to be outside? It's beautiful outside, is it, is it? Oh, that's good, I'm, you know, I. It's still a little cold here, so windy and cold it was. I think it's just like in the low 70s, like on ice. He's here, so it's like if you're gonna be a hack on a way at the yard, it's nice today. That makes a nice cooler environment and I feel like there's less snakes if it's not hot. Mmm, yeah, I don't know. I mean, maybe I don't know, I don't like the stakes for that picky. I feel like they're like, screw the weather, I'm just here for it because I'm a snake, cold blooded. So if they were, well, they're cold blooded, they're sleeping, what? When it's cold, what does that mean? So, so they, they don't really move around a lot if it's cold outside, right? Oh, that is so. That's why sometimes you'll see them in the sidewalk like stunning themselves because they're trying to warm up so they can move around. Okay, well, I'm not a big fan of naked people or snakes, spiders or hornets.

Speaker 1:

So far, we're not hitting on much for this podcast. It's gonna be a no stars for me so far. No, actually. Actually I think I think there's some more in the news and photography stuff that we need to talk about. Yes, cuz I have missed this. I somehow have missed this whole phenomenon called Princess Kate. So let well, hold, hold, hold on to your seats, guys. Let's come back to that. Be right back. Hey, you is.

Speaker 1:

All right, I am late to the party as well. Okay, I didn't know this was a thing, so let's just just just for my.

Speaker 1:

What I'm understanding is she went into the hospital months ago and but hasn't been seen since. Is this Remotely? That's what I've heard. I've heard she went into the hospital in January, that she was last seen in December December, yeah, last fit seen publicly in December, okay, okay, and late December, and then went into the hospital, allegedly I mean, I'm not saying right, didn't know but and then has not been seen. But then there has been like footage.

Speaker 1:

I saw I saw a photo of of her, someone driving her around in a car, seemingly like in circles around the property so that paparazzi could see that it. But it looks like somebody wearing a Catemintle to mask, like it doesn't even. It really is creepy. It's like it's like dark and she's like wrapped up and she's, I mean, her face is showing but sunglasses and it's like it looks like somebody just wearing like a, like a rubber mask of that person. It's so weird.

Speaker 1:

And then the thing that I saw this morning that has to do with with photography is there's this family Portrait of her with the kids not not very casual a little capture of her with the three kids. So I did see that somebody. She's in the middle, she's got her arms around them. It's obviously like set up because there's catchlights in the eyes and stuff. You know somebody is a photographer, is taking it. Yeah right, but it's supposed to be like a casual, like I'm just with the kids. You know, yes, and but there is a theory that this photograph was actually taken in December when they went, like earlier in December she took the kids to a Charity where they were like donating toys or something like that, and there's a lot of photos of them at this charity in in similar clothes, you know, doing charity work, right, okay, so they're just little candidates of them doing that right. And so they break it down to.

Speaker 1:

It's Kate in a similar sweater, that cowl neck sort of turtleneck sweater With the similar sort of ribbing at the bottom. But in the photo that it was released it's navy blue. In the. In the photo that was the candid from that event, it's a cream colored sweater, I mean, and they have found the sweater that she bought, like they people have, like, okay, here's the sweater. It doesn't come in navy blue, it only comes in cream. Yeah, because there are blogs that like track what she wears, right, because people are obsessed with the Royals, right, and her fashion, like, her fashion is like a big deal. So, in the same way, diana was if it was an amazing, it's just that seems like an odd job, right? So so they had found the sweater.

Speaker 1:

She's also wearing the same leggings and the same boots. Now, if you're Kate Middleton and you're a fashion icon, right, that people look up and you probably don't wear the same clothes on ever. Yeah, like to two photographed events, right? But she's wearing the same boots, the same jeans, but the sweater it looks identical, but it's navy in the photo, but it's cream in her life, right? Then her oldest son is wearing like a colored, plaid colored shirt under a navy sweater. When you look at the photo, it looks like that plaid on the collar was painted down. So it looks like it's a navy shirt under a navy sweater, but you can see where the plaid was right. And then the daughter is wearing this identical colored shirt with a frilly collar, but it looks like they have placed a cardigan on top of like they have AI to cardigan buttons down the front of it, so it looks like it's a cardigan. So that looks like it's entirely different. But if you look down at her skirt, which is a different skirt, the, the AI or whatever was done to make it Like ends abruptly, like the plaid, like overlaps the body and it just cuts off. So that's the. That's the big telltale. Is the skirt, right? Oh, okay, and and so, but so you can see like you know, the fingers are kind of weird on a young son too but you can see that like it has been manipulated.

Speaker 1:

So then the AP, the Associated Press, pulls a kill order on this photo because they Found out that the photo had been manipulated. So they tell all of their outlets to not run this photo and that there will not be a replacement, but that the photo, they confirmed the photo had been provided by the royal family, right? And so then Kate Middleton I'm using quotations, right? Kate Issues an apology, saying you know, like many amateur photographers, I was having a little fun in Photoshop. Stop it. Uh-huh, she did this, really was really. This was a. This was an official apology from her, who again has not been seen in public, right, and it's an official apology that she manipulated this photo and doesn't say that it was from December or whatever. That's that.

Speaker 1:

That's the real story here is like, this photo is from December, right, this photo is not a recent photo, and so, but she's saying that it is a recent photo. But she was having a little fun in Photoshop as an amateur photographer, oh Gosh, and so you know, she's like like many, and you know, and okay, so let's, let's talk about that. So she's an amateur photographer, which I highly Doubt. She's an amateur Photoshop artist, right, and Mm-hmm, she's learning AI and all her spare time, where she's, that's what she's doing is playing around with Photoshop, ai, and this is so weird, isn't this bizarre? So what is like? What is this? Okay, back to the same.

Speaker 1:

She has stomach surgery In just in January. But what happened to her? What are we saying? They're not elaborating. They're saying that she had a stomach surgery that was necessary in January and she will be, and she's recuperating and will be back on her feet in April. They're saying in April, after Easter, and it's like how do you know that she'll be? You know, like hysterectomies and C-sections, which I've had all of them, right, they recover. You've had all kinds of stomach things in, but it's a rough recovery. It's not a three month. I mean I had mine and went to imaging two weeks later, right, I remember I was the EPA president. I mean, like it wasn't fun, that was not fun, but no, but you were there and you were walking, yeah, but they're saying that that happened.

Speaker 1:

I have also heard that there's rumors that she had, that she's had, a facial surgery of some kind. Oh, that's what I'm guessing. But I mean, even that, three months of recovery, something like well, it's sad. I hope, first of all, I hope she's okay, like I hope she's okay. I just hope she's alive and happy, and maybe she doesn't, she's she's, maybe she's reclusive, maybe she is, maybe I'm not coming out, maybe that's what's going on. I hope everything's okay. I hope she's alive, well and they're together. I mean I hope all the stuff, whatever that is.

Speaker 1:

Now let's go back to this, this, this image. So, first of all, shame on them for trying to fool the public, but let's just talk about this for a second. If this photo had come out maybe even five years ago, but certainly 10 years ago none of us would have questioned it? Nope, if you see it, you believe it. Are we be? We're past that, right, we can never. It used to be. It's here, it's a picture of it. We can't believe that anymore. Right, like, isn't there a whole Netflix series right now?

Speaker 1:

Like essentially this, like I think they show, like your partner with other people and you're trying to decide if it's real or fake. Like because it actually looks real, like, oh my God, like this is like an actual show that I saw on. I didn't watch the show, but I saw the picture. So we were beyond the space where we can believe it, just cause we see it. Yeah, that's where we are in our world, which scares the the GZs out of me, because I used to think, well, no, I see that, I see XYZ doing that, but now people can doctor anything.

Speaker 1:

Right, like, you hear that all the time, specifically in the political realm. I think you hear it a lot in that space where, no, you did, it's doctored, it's fake, it's whatever, and I used to think that's crazy. It's a picture Like it's real, but we, we can't, we can't trust that anymore. We can't trust it at all, you know, and this one was sloppy. But there are not there, there are, there are. I mean, which is surprising. Yeah, that is surprising. You know what I mean.

Speaker 1:

Like the fact, that's why, maybe it's more, maybe people are buying this, like she was just playing around with Cause it was so bad. Why would they? Her team would be so on top. Yes, oh, thanks Kate for this photo. They would be scanning it, looking at it, scanning it, looking at it, whatever. So it just seems crazy that they go. They just take Kate's photo that she made in Photoshop and they go no, this is fine, because she says it's fine and we'll just release it, like there would never be any other eyes on that. No, come on, they don't even let her release anything.

Speaker 1:

So are we pretending now that she has the right to do? I mean, I'm not being a jerk here, but I mean she doesn't have a lot of rights. I mean you, you see this now, especially since Meghan Markle and Harry, like you, hear these stories about how they micromanage everything Are we thinking that they would have let her just release that? I mean, it drove Diana insane. You know what I mean. I mean based on, based on all the the you know movies and biographies and things that have been made about her. I mean, essentially, they drove her to a place where she had an eating disorder, which, you see, kate Middleton is thought of recently, yeah, yeah, you know. And and then, you know, drove her just just to be reclusive, just wanted to see her children, you know. So I don't know, I don't know, it's terrifying. I hope that she, like I said, like we both said, I hope that she's okay and that she's safe, yeah, and that she hasn't just, like, breached something, I mean.

Speaker 1:

But there's all kinds of conspiracy theories about, I mean, let's talk about, let's be seen, the Kanye West theories about the photos that are out about Kanye West. That he has a body double. No, that he. That none of the photos of him in like recent time have been of him, that that this is an entirely different person. Where is he? I don't know. But he kept saying that, like, if you, if you don't see me, you know where I am, you know they've taken me, like you know.

Speaker 1:

And everyone's like, oh, he's, he's, he's not well, you know what I mean. Like you know, I think that's true, right, yeah, well, he's definitely not well, right, I think we can, I think, no, I think that's clear. Yeah, yeah, you know, but there's theories that he is, that all these photos of him and his new wife, who's kind of different similarities to Kim, you know, but like she's very different to like or not him, mm, hmm, I'm not. And there's all these, I just I wonder if I'm living under here. There's all the, there's all these things where they show a side by side picture of just the shape of the head, like the shape of the guy's head next to his, and like the height difference is massive because Kanye is not a tall guy. No, he's not, but this guy is very tall and everyone's like, oh well, he's wearing lifts because you know, kanye is crazy. And like he, you know, and like there's some pictures of him, it looks like he's wearing like a muscle suit, you know, like underneath his clothes, like cause, he's not a muscle guy, he's kind of, you know, but he's, but there's like a bulky version of him. And then there's a version of him out where it looks like he's wearing a muscle suit, like almost to match the bulky version. It's so bizarre.

Speaker 1:

But these photos, now these are just this is presuming that he has a body double that they've hired to put out for him. This is not presuming that it's any AI sort of stuff. So this is what it was, is what I'm saying? This is what it was, is it used to be? They would find somebody that looks similar. I say they, I don't know. You know, but if this theory, if you're going to go into conspiracy theories, that's what was assumed. Oh, they've got a body double and they're taking him and whatever.

Speaker 1:

But now we don't even need the theory of body double. Like, throw that off the window, right, we don't need that. No, we don't, we? Well, unless you count the woman riding around in sunglasses that looks like she's wearing a Kate Middleton mask in a dark car, you know that picture. But no, we can just AI photos of Kate Middleton doing anything and her and her children doing anything. It's terrifying, it's just, it's absolutely terrifying.

Speaker 1:

And this is that. This is that black box AI stuff that freaks everyone out, that makes every, you know, makes us all want to just go. Let's just, and can we put it back in the box? Yeah, let's get rid of it, let's. You know, abort, abort, abort, the mission, like just let it go, like, right, right, that's, that's the stuff that's making people go. We're not safe, like your identity isn't safe.

Speaker 1:

I don't think that there's. I do think that there and I don't like to buy. You know, and you know me hopefully our listeners know me I don't try to buy into a lot of conspiracy theories. I really try hard to. That's why, like I'm that nerdy girl that I read the news, I don't listen to the news because I want the news, I don't want your opinion. And then I really try hard to be to deal in facts, you know, and then I develop my opinion the way I develop my opinion, as should everyone else have the freedom to do. But it is scary.

Speaker 1:

It's like when I see something like you know, I saw that picture pop up and it came up in a controversial post meaning this is I was. It was already being called out as being flagged. But if I were scrolling through, I don't know that I would have given it enough thought to think, oh, that's lovely, you know she's there with her kiddos. Because I don't think I would have looked at it from that space because I'm just like, oh, okay, there you go, good job. But now I feel like you, I mean, I feel like you have to, and whether it's politics or you know whatever, celebrities.

Speaker 1:

I don't know, like what's real. The deep fake stuff is so strange. But let me be clear, I don't know what's real. I don't know. Nothing that I have said today was an effort to make anyone believe any of those things. Right, I don't know. I'm telling you what I'm like. Wow, that is an interesting theory. Yeah, you know, that is an interesting theory. I don't know what, where she is. I hope she had a stomach surgery and she's decided to take a very, very, very, very, very long recovery from it. You know, and I am, that she's okay and that she's an amateur photographer.

Speaker 1:

But I'm just going to tell you that all of it sounds creepy, creepy, crazy, but I can't say that it's not true. You know, I don't see how. You know, I don't see. You know, I mean we don't know, and I mean I don't know, it is scary, I don't, I don't like it. I mean you know people can put together a document and, you know, accuse someone of whatever they want to accuse them of, and now, now you're in a position where now you have to fight. Now you have to fight something that's not real because it's there. You put it out there. I mean, if I put a shot of a picture that looked like you, you know, fraternizing with someone not your husband, right, which I would never do, by the way. I wouldn't know how, by the way, or what I do, but I mean people, you know, things like this happen. And then I mean, now you have to fight something that's not real, and it's just like it's so hard to deal with the reality. Now we have to deal with things that aren't real. Now maybe they, I don't know, I don't like it, I don't like it. True crime is about to get real scary. I mean, for example, love is blind. Yeah, I'm just. I'll give one spoiler that you've obviously already seen right, and we're towards the end of the thing, but you almost can't lie about where you are anymore because your technology outs you, right. Yes, so what you're talking about? Yes, jeremy with an A, jeremy is who we are.

Speaker 1:

Jeremy with an A tries to you know. Pretend like he was out at a bar all night and then talked to a girl who you should have been talking to in the car all night, and what he did was he left his phone in the car, thinking that would, that would be his alibi. It's obviously his phone has its location. Well, dum Dum didn't realize he was still wearing his Apple Watch, ding dong. And so he goes and spends the night Kick rocks with bare feet, as as his VXV on the side. It's like oh girl, what was her name? Sarah, I don't, I'm using that. Kick rocks with bare feet. Yes, ma'am, kick rocks with bare feet. Jeremy, jeremy, yeah, he just, he went over and spent the night at the Seth A Girls house.

Speaker 1:

Lindsay Seuss, allie Mae, whatever. Yeah, I was in the parking lot talking till 5 am. No, sir, I mean, that's bad enough. Yeah, but somehow he was like well, it would be better to say that I was all night talking to her in the parking lot than that I went to her home and spent the night there Because, I mean, I shared my location. She goes yeah, and you weren't there. Yes, I was, and he's thinking that my phone was in my car. How could she know, dum Dum? Well, she's like I also, I'm asleep. I wasn't like looking for you, I just woke up in the morning and you weren't there. And then she I look, alex has a theory that you have to pass a certain low IQ test in order to even be on this one, and that she must have like faked it because she seemed a lot smarter than your average.

Speaker 1:

Love is blind character. No offense to my, love is blind character, but there's a certain level of they don't want you to be too smart. She was, she was quite smart. She was smart, she was, and she was like a viper. She was like very quick with her. She was not. She was not Between her and I caught AD's mom icon.

Speaker 1:

Icon AD's mom. Ad's mom gets all my votes. Icon Icon Lady. Oh my God, snap.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, sorry, if you don't watch Love is Blind, we'll stop talking about it, but it is scary and so it's interesting and I like I'm kind of following along and reading the post I think I think Bure post, I don't know if somebody posted it and I think that's where it's on it, which is you know which. I and I was like whoa, this is cool. But I'd actually kind of I don't not follow the Royals, but I guess I don't follow the Royals. Like it's not on purpose, I don't, I was actually I just found out about this last weekend, like, like, but it's been going on for a minute here. We're late to the party. Oh yeah, I'm like wait, wait. It's been going on for a minute and then there are people who are really annoyed with, like, why are people making such a big deal out of this? Again, I'm not, I've just. This is news to me. Don't worry about it, sweetheart, don't worry about it. If I'm worried about it, I just find it a little, a little strange. It is strange. I mean, it's the royal family. I'm sorry, and I mean maybe I grew up this way, so maybe you know I did it. I don't know, but I don't know it's weird. And do better. I mean, kate, if you did that, which I don't believe, do better. And royal people that let her post stuff, do better. And it's just interesting where we are.

Speaker 1:

And again, you and I have had several podcasts about yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And I mean I have a lot of, a lot of. I mean I'm very excited, I'm getting ready to go spend a week in Chicago learning more about AI, marketing and all this stuff. But there's always two sides, right, there's, there's just, there's just that's the good stuff, that's the exciting stuff, I mean, or not, maybe, maybe it's about to take another turn, but Well, it depends. I mean, and you think about it. I mean I mean, if you think about it, I mean, isn't that always the case? You know, with every, you know, with every new invention and all new stuff, there's always a negative. And unfortunately there's not just only positives, right Like there's, there just is. I mean, every invention, everything new technology, whatever it's so exciting, it's so cool, but then there's seems to always there is a downside. There's just. There's just. I mean.

Speaker 1:

So I've been watching way too much black mirror. I don't know if you've ever seen this show, but it's a technology-based sci-fi show. Every episode is a new. It's it's very episodic, so it's a new story, new characters. There's a lot of guest stars that people you'd recognize and stuff and I I'm always saying about, especially when I've been teaching lately, when I'm talking about what, how I've been using AI is, I say I'm trying to basically clone my consciousness into all the information I have about my business, into it, so that it can basically give me back something faster that I could have done.

Speaker 1:

You know what I mean. Like you know, with all of the baseline knowledge that I have about my work and my business and what I do, this, you know, black mirror takes that idea. They'll take technology, future-based technology, and they'll make kind of a scary story about it, you know. And so, like what if, basically, what I'm saying is I'd love to copy myself my consciousness right, and make a copy of myself so that person can do all the work right, and so I have more time to do my yard work and my and my, you know, beach trips and, yeah, and my paint paint sips, you know, right, you know, and but how, how scary could that get, the how fast this technology goes?

Speaker 1:

I mean, I'm saying I'm trying to tell a thing that I think is an un-feeling undoing. It's not going to do anything that I want it to do, taking it all of my information, not like my social security, but every the way, I think, the way my business works. No, I think that's fair. I think that's fair. You know, there is a downside. I think you're absolutely right. I think that it is kind of scary, and you I can.

Speaker 1:

I don't know anything about that black mirror, but I can only imagine what that episode would look like. It's going to be some you're cloning yourself and then all of a sudden, that person that your clone's like going to, you know, kill you or something like this, or take over, or, you know, take over your life, yeah, and then you're your loved ones, don't know who, it's real and what's fake, and you're trying to fight your way out of this. You know, you know what I mean. Like I could see that being. You know, oh, yeah, or it starts. It starts acting online for you. It's, you know, it's not even a physical being. It just takes over your entire online identity and goes online as you. It has all of the it's.

Speaker 1:

I mean I don't know. I mean I don't know. I mean there's no, obviously there's no right or wrong here. I mean you know, it is what it is. No, it's all, it's just, it's. It's a, it's a sci-fi. Yeah, yeah, I mean I think in my world we're living in Mary. That's what I'm getting at. You know what I mean? Like it's, it's a scary place and and, yeah, black Mirror will make you, make you wish, do you lived in a different, in a different period in the in history, which seems insane? It does seem insane, to be honest with you.

Speaker 1:

Well, you know, the bottom line is is everybody who's listening? Let's just use it for good. Let's just make a deal. Let's make a deal. Let's make a deal. Let's use it for good. Let's hope Kate's okay. Yes, let's, jarami, you can suck an egg, you can kick rocks with their feet, but I guess the bottom line too is I I think that it's better to know what's out there and what's happening. I agree, conspiracy theories aside, to know what's possible is important. I agree, because, yeah, because it's, it's just a cautious, it's a cautious way of using these tools, a cautious tool, you know, and it's a cautious, cautionary tale. Cautionary tale. Let's get your shoot together. Yes, you heard it here first. You heard it here first, guys.

Speaker 1:

Well, this has been honestly, though. I mean, I know it sounds like it doesn't have anything to do with business, but I think it has everything to do with business. All these things that we said, we talked about today, is is it tie? It really is tying in. This is the. This is the topic of the next hundred years. It is, I mean, at least. I mean yeah, it is, it is, and one day, of course, pummy's gonna look back and go oh, remember when that was new and they thought that was gonna. It's gonna last, it's here, it's gonna get bigger and bigger and bigger, and it's just gonna. It's just gonna bring up more and more challenges and and great stuff. It's again.

Speaker 1:

It's a trade-off, you know, and people said the same thing about digital or, you know, computers or all the stuff, all everything that's come before this that we just use and take for granted. Everybody had cautionary tales about when it first came out. This is no different. So we can't be afraid of it, but we, you know you, do need to be. It's just you have to be more aware of something. That is just one more thing we have to worry about or think about or be aware of.

Speaker 1:

I guess I'll say, yeah, you don't, you don't need to hide from it. No, because yeah, yeah, no one, do you any good? It's going, it's happening, you know it's going, with or without you Get on the train or get off the train To, with or without you. Now I've got you two song in my head, all right. Well, good luck to Kate, good luck to AI, all the good stuff, but good luck to 80s mom. Oh God, icon and Jaromie Suck it.

Speaker 1:

Where do we land on Jimmy? Do we like Jimmy? No, I don't like Chelsea. Or Jimmy Clay, jimmy, jaromie, I don't like Johnny. I love Johnny. No, johnny is here to tell women that they need to get on birth control or he's out. Okay, All right. Well, that is, but they agreed on that, did they? I think? I think he pushed her into making Okay, we might have to make that another podcast episode. I was, I was uncomfortable and, by the way, we're starting obviously starting a love is blind podcast. Sorry, guys, I promise next week we'll get back to business. It's been a minute. You know what?
