Many times we wonder, "What's next for my relationship with God?" or even "What's missing in my relationship with Him?" In this message series, we explore some of the most important steps you can take in your walk with God. Your Next Steps: "Accountability" #1. Why I need accountability Proverbs 27: 17 Iron sharpens iron, So one man sharpens another. - we need other people in our lives - those are not always pleasant experiences #2. What accountability means for my life - we all need some good friends I Corinthians 15: 33 Do not be deceived: “Bad company corrupts good morals.” Proverbs 27: 6 - we especially need God and His people Hebrews 10: 25 not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near. - we need CONNECTION on multiple levels - we need COMMITMENT on some level #3. Getting serious about accountability II Timothy 2: 22 Now flee from youthful lusts and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart. - the size of my accountability large group small group one-on-one - the frequency of my accountability spontaneous weekly daily emergency What’s the "Big Idea" today? Accountability to others is critical for any believer who wants to make a difference for God.
