During this time of year, we celebrate Advent.  The King is Coming!  That's what Advent means.  We celebrate His coming into this world. In this series, we look into God's Word to see how we can clear the path in our hearts so that we can get the most out of His coming into this world and into our lives! The King is Coming: "Being in His Presence" Matthew 3: 1-13 #1. Have a strong desire to change Matthew 3: 1-6 Isaiah 40: 3 Matthew 4: 17 II Corinthians 7: 9-11 Your response to that challenge leads us to the next thing... #2. Be willing to face some brutal realities Matthew 3: 7-10 John 3: 20-21 #3. Develop a humble attitude Matthew 3: 11-12 “baptism” means immersion or total saturation John 1: 8 John 1: 30 John 3: 30 Matthew 6: 33 SO, John’s whole point was… Jesus is the one who does the real work AND I AM JUST HIS SERVANT.
