We often do not listen to understand. We listen to reply.
Common responses to problems:
- Worry
- Depression
- Avoidance
- Fear
- Rash decisions
- Anger

- Listen often
- Speak less
- Be careful with anger
- Check sin in your life
- Stay humble and teachable
- Stay in God’s Word

God gives us:

James 1: 26
God gave us 2 ears and 1 mouth. We ought to listen twice as much as we speak.
