S3-E21-DANGERIOUS LIASONS
INT. DANGERIOUS LIASON - 10 - 13
LOCATION: Retrograde - Small Bar
GANDER, RUDI and ZED are discussing what they do next
after the rebuttal from the Rabasca brothers and the
hopeless situation. They also discuss how CULM is into
human trafficking and is known for a number of murders
within the criminal fraternity.
ALEX
So not a good result then?
SHARROW
No, not at all.
COBO
I can only offer this: What are
the roots that clutch, what
branches grow Out of this stony
rubbish ? Son of man, You cannot

GANDER
Well, that's all very well nice
prose MILTON, but we have to
focus.
ALEX
So am I correct in saying that we
are back to square one?
GANDER
Not exactly, we know who stole it?
SHARROW
But we don't know where it is?
JACINTA
What if the RABASCA brothers are
lying and they haven't moved the
painting on? Couldn't we just
stake out the house and watch them
to make the next move.
COBO
We only have four hours now, we
don't have time.
SOPHIE
Well, while you were away doing
the shake down, ZED and myself
have been digging into CULM's
background. We found out he is a
consistent purchaser at the
auctions. He has a private art
collection that could rival some
galleries. He also has a
collection of nightclubs,
essentially in general opposition
to STANK interests, so he is bound
to be a bit dodgy.
GANDER
We know he is dodgy from his
henchmen and they way he reacted
and his terrible reputation.
SOPHIE
Yes but you don't know how dodgy,
he is implicated in human
trafficking, class A drug
distribution and some sort of
protection racket, that started
over in 16 Psyche and is probably
operating throughout the Asteroid
belt.
GANDER

SOPHIE

INT. PARTS DISCUSSION - 10 - 14
LOCATION: CULM's living Room.
Cut to conversation by CULM and henchman on the best way
to extract information. They are discussing wether it is
better to Kill or cut off parts, or just beat up.
CULM
Yes I like the Chateau Des Deus
Rivers 2061, it has a fine finish,
its a good general wine with food.

So, ah what have you done so far

LOCATION: CULM's Gymnasium.
SLIM is in pain and is trying to escape, but it not
having much success.
SLIM
Ahhh, hold on SLIM breath slowly
and deeply. Don't try and rush
this, arghh. If I can dislocated
my thumb. (Arghhh!)

SLIM
Argh, (Scream of pain) shit I'm
getting to old for this crap.
These bastards really know how to
tie someone up. (Pause) OK, OK,

INT. SNOG SACRIFICE - 10 - 16
LOCATION: Retrograde - Small Bar
ALEX and EVERYWHEN are discussing how they could possibly
use wormhole tech, to extract SLIM. EVERYWHEN states
this is not possible due to the edge effects. GHOST
informs COBO that MAD HESSE has called, says she has
information, but will only give it to ALEX. GANDER et al
persuade ALEX that the only way forward, is to go back
and see HESSE and suffer more horrible embraces for
SLIM's sake.
EVERYWHEN
Oh Hi ALEX, do you know the
whereabouts of SLIM? He promised
to teach me poker?
ALEX
You've been away. He is being held
hostage by the second biggest
gangster in New London, who won't
release him until we find a
painting of two naked women.
EVERYWHEN
Laughter oh that's good, Human

interesting imaginations, very

SHARROW

EVERYWHEN

EVERYWHEN Moves away a slightly puzzled look on her face.
COBO
What is a wormhole.
GANDER

ALEX
I could perhaps try and persuade
her.
SHARROW
We can't wormhole SLIM out because
of edge effects the person has to
be inserted in the middle of the
worm-fields other wise they get
shredded. This isn't STAR TREK we
don't have a transporter.
COBO
What are you talking about?
ALEX
COBO, don't ask, its need to know

GHOST

GANDER

seemed very nice, she said she has
what you want but you have to send
the cute one. I don't understand

INT. JAWS WINS - 10 - 18
LOCATION: MAD HESSE's STUDIO
ALEX complies, arrives to find candles and a horrible
romantic setup (Jaws music and horrible snogging). Needs
a very stiff drink back at Retrograde. HESSE does however
find out that MARCO (STANKS Shill) attempted to purchase
the original at auction via a proxy but was outbid by
CULM. They figure out that it would have been MARCO that
paid the Rabasca brothers to steal the painting to order,
so they decide to steel it back from him.

HESSE
Please sit here Ms ANGEL, I didn't
know if you like red or white? So
I bought one of each. I hope you
don't mind the candles?

HESSE
(Little Chuckle) Its so nice to

ALEX

ALEX

Let me get my thoughts straight.
(Pause) CULM bought the FALARO at
auction as you know. He out bid a
private collector called STANTON
FAIRCHILD, he was acting as a
proxy for a mirror house OWNER who
in turn was paid by a MARCO
CRANTOCK.
GANDER
Oh shit, not that bastard.
COBO
Who is MARCO CRANTOCK?
GANDER
MILTON really I would have thought
you would know!
COBO
Madam, I have been in Jail for a
number of years.
GANDER
Yes but really! He is STANKS
henchman and general shill for the
Bencubbin. He does not appreciate

COBO

When MARCO found out that it was

he was apparently not happy.
GANDER

temper. Particularly since he
wants to impress STANK.
Pathetically he is trying to work
his way up the organisation.
ALEX
So HESSE said MARCO paid the
RABASCO brothers to nick the
painting for him.
SHARROW
So basically on one side we have a
violent psychopathic human
trafficker who likes posting human
parts, and on the other side we
have a violent psychopathic human
trafficker who likes chopping
people up.
GANDER
That just about sums it up.
COBO
So what should we do.
GANDER
Well, the sensible thing would be
to involve the authorities.
ALEX
What! I never thought you would
say that GANDER!
COBO
So lets focus here, the clock is
ticking. Just what are we going
to do!
GANDER

SHARROW
So are we going to throw ourselves
at CULM and beg for mercy.
GANDER

COBO

MARCO, he obviously now has it.
INT. A LITTLE LIGHT WORK - 10 - 19
LOCATION: MARCO's Headquarters.
MARCO is in the middle of extracting information from
another villain, thus demonstration his truly sociopathic
nature.
VICTIM
Ahhh! (Breathing, panicky, short
breaths)
MARCO
Calm down, its all right calm
down. This knife will only get
used if I have to. I do make sure
it is sharp, so the end will be
quick. Now I am led to believe
that you are not a grass and I
admire that in a man, I really do.
VICTIM

LOCATION: GANDER's Office
The team Quiz QUERSMA about MARCO. They identify that he
is a social climber wants artwork so he can ingratiate
himself with STANK. Hence the knick team. Lives in big
house in owners cavern. Team decides only way is to steel
the original from MARCO to give back to CULM, but MARCO
has very tight security.
GANDER
So Minerva can you tell us
everything you know about MARCO.
QUARESMA
Well, he is a complete psychopath.
GANDER
Yes we know that much. Do you
know where he lives?
QUARESMA
Oh, that's easy, he has a large
mansion, in the owners cavern, in
the heights district. I've just
datavised the address!
GANDER
Wow that's an expensive location,
he must have an extensive
operation. RUDI can you get it up
in the tank?
RUDI
Yes, OK, just building the
exterior 3D model with gardens.
I'm just going to extrapolate the
growth in the gardens a little,
this model is two years out of
date. BOY do you have the
interior?

ZED is just trying to hack the
council planning department.
QUARESMA
Look he is very dangerious and is
an effective operator, he
represents most of STANK's illegal
operations in New London. You guys
just got lucky with the credit
operation. It will not be so easy

impress his boss STANK.

plans from city hall. Sending it

SHERBERT and STANK are discussing MARCO. STANK expresses
his dislike of the local operator but will put up with

So to conclude my quarterly
report, you will be pleased to
learn that we have obtained, the
FALERO!
STANK
Really, I thought we lost that at
auction, that CULM fellow. Remind

to be an annoyance.
SHERBERT

but that MARCO fellow.
STANK
Oh, that horrible greasy monkey,

SHERBERT
Well, he hired two thieves to
liberate it from CULM.
STANK
Oh my God, he is such a crude
operator. Did it work?
SHERBERT

desperate to climb this
organisation, its pathetic.
SHERBERT
Well, unfortunately we need him
and his crude network of
operatives, for the day to day in

INT. BREAK IN THWARTED - 10 - 21
LOCATION: MARCO Mansion grounds
GANDER, ALEX, SLIM and COBO plan a detailed break-in in
broad daylight using distraction as a weapon as all the
security systems are only turned on at night. They start
the operation but just as they are about get in, the Cops
arrive and arrest MARCO for stealing the Falero. They
retreat back to Retrograde.
COBO
So as we know MARCO works for
STANK. They mainly have interests
in the criminal side of the
business community, so the
security will be tight. I have
been working with the Colonel and
ZED to undertake an analysis for a
way to break in Marm.
RUDI
MILTON please call me RUDI, lets
not stand on ceremony, and you are
not commissioned, its easier for
everyone.
COBO
Oh, yes sorry, of course!
RUDI
Well, the compound is guarded and
fully monitored by camera's with
sensor pads, motion sensors, laser
webs plus guard dogs.
ALEX
I hate guard dogs. Sorry to be
negative but it sounds virtually
impregnable.
RUDI
It almost is, but we have one
advantage.
GANDER
Come on RUDI spill the beans.
RUDI
Well, with systems like this, they
are only as good as their design
and this one was designed and
specified by none other than
MARCO.
GANDER
How does that help.
RUDI
Well he has made a very common and
basic mistake.
GANDER

RUDI
The system is designed around the
assumption that action will take
place either when the citadel is
empty or at night. Almost all of
the systems are disabled in the
day otherwise the occupants could
not move around or live in the
place.
GANDER
So are you saying we have to go in
when its occupied and in the

RUDI
Yes, because who would be stupid
enough to break in to a fort when
everyone is home and awake?
ALEX
Well, I suspect it will be us

RUDI

(Running and slightly out of

corridor and I can see the front

opened by one of MARCOS henchmen,
they are inside. It didn't look

ALEX
I can't see, no wait MARCO is
arguing with one of the officers,
they have come outside. One of
the other officers has the FALERO.
RUDI
Shit, OK, lets get out of here and
regroup back at the inn.
INT. TWIST AND TURNS - 10 - 22
LOCATION: Retrograde - Small Bar
Scratching their heads back at the inn they don't know
what to do. They are running out of time. GANDER makes an
enquiry of her police informer and surprising find that
MARCO has been released because the cops found the
painting was a fake, so no charges can be made. So where
is the original? They go back to the house in the Dirksen
where the robbers were staying in a desperate bid to find
out where the original is. The robbers are gone.
SHARROW
So now the police have the
painting. What are we going to do?
COBO
I don't know, we can't break into
Police Central and steal the
painting from the evidence locker
can we?
SHARROW
No of course not, that would be a
bridge to far.
COBO
Out of this stony rubbish? Son of
man, You cannot say, or guess, for
you know only A heap of broken
images, where the sun beats, And
the dead tree gives no shelter,
the cricket no relief,
SHARROW
Quoting the Wastelands is not
going to help COBO
COBO

ALEX
Who is GANDER talking to?
SHARROW

informer, he is a regular at
MOMO's. I think he gets a
discount.
GANDER

have seized the painting and they
have arrested MARCO.

exactly what we need. If the
police have got it they will give
it back to the rightful owner,

was a fake? It doesn't make sense.
COBO
So where is the real painting?
GHOST

COBO

given to MARCO was a fake, so that
means they must have done a

GANDER

ALEX

massive fight on your hands to get
it back from the Rabasca brothers.

indirect approach. If they did a
swap on the FALERO particularly
with MARCO, your not going to risk
him spotting it. That means they
must have had another high quality

near perfect copy of a FALERO?

INT. GHASTLY TURNS - 10 - 23
LOCATION: Mad HESSE's studio
GANDER, ALEX, COBO and SHARROW reluctantly go back to the
mad Dyke forger as its their only lead. After plying her
with booze and using ALEX as bait with a ghastly kiss,
they coax more information that the Robber gang are now
at a hotel awaiting a ship out of town.
HESSE
A girl's got to earn a living!
COBO
But why didn't you tell us.
HESSE
I didn't know there was a
connection.
COBO
Yes but its an obscure Spanish
watercolour!
HESSE
I can't keep track of everything.
