Featuring faculty Shawn Kwatra, MD, moderated by Gregg Sherman, MD.

Summary
Prurigo nodularis (PN) is a chronic inflammatory skin disease characterized by severe, unrelenting pruritus that is higher in intensity and associated with greater decrease in quality of life (QoL) than with other pruritic dermatoses such as atopic dermatitis and psoriasis. Patients with PN report severe disturbances in sleep, reduced participation in social activities, and absenteeism from work because of their disease.

In this first of two podcast episodes, Dr. Shawn Kwatra and Dr. Gregg Sherman discuss the presentation and diagnosis of PN. Joining them is a real patient with PN to share their experience and journey.

This podcast was recorded and is being used with permission of the presenters.

Learning Objective
