It’s the end of the year and I feel like I accomplished a good amount including cleaning out my basement! It was a tremendous amount of work but it was very important to me for items to find a good home rather than ending up in a landfill. Textile recycling: old clothes, bedding, any cloth that won’t be of good use for Good Will, find a textile recycling center in your area.
dry cleaning hangers: feel free to take hangers to your local dry cleaners, you’ll save on space and help lower their expenses!
Books: they can always go to Good Will but if you have a collection of a specific genre, there are always people out there who are fans and would love to get ahold of them. If you’re a epic fantasy fan, reach out I have plenty to share. Otherwise, you can try

Speciality items: with a little research, any item can find the right place to go. Find a shop that might take on a collection you might have of some sort.

Shoes: If you have old shoes that Good Will can’t resell, they have a recycling program in place so I recommend this is the best place for them to go.
