We enter into a new sermon series, "How to Be a Troublemaker," with a bit of dilemma. We don't really want to cause problems. And yet we are surrounded by people in history and our daily lives, as much as Christ is surrounded by people in his day, who insist on living their faith and shining the light of God where it needs to be seen. In this sermon we hear about Ida B Wells, a dynamic woman who refused to stop reporting the hateful violence of lynching in the late 1800's into the 1900's. We also hear about a nameless woman who will not ask permission from the power brokers and simply must give praise and glory to Christ for her new life. How will you cause a little trouble for God's kingdom this week? Sermon rooted in the gospel of Luke 7.36-8.3.
