The Impatience of Job
•
Pastor Josh Ehrler
Job is a character of the Bible who is not as his friends expect. He suffers intensively and he laments his losses, yet he does not turn from God. His story is not really about perseverence or endurance or strength through prayer. He gets mad, he screams, he wails, and he will not wait around for God to just show up one day. Job demands a face to face with God right now, even though no mortal can see the face of God and survive. A sermon on not putting up with suffering and not assuming its our fault that we suffer.
