Did you know today (Christ the King Sunday) was the day that the Lord has made to fight Nazis? Yep, right there in the history books because it doesn't take much for us turn on Jesus. He's great when he's doing his thing, until he either stops doing his thing the way we want or he won't act like us and help himself out a bit. In gospel for this week, we find out that Jesus doesn't use his power through God for his own gain, he's definitely not much of a hero, and he's unfazed by our greediest, meanest insults. We know him too well. He knows us better, and loves us despite ourselves.
