Even when we aspire to follow God and do good things, we are quickly stopped by the magnitude of need. Jesus turns the disciples toward the crowds and names the suffering of God's people. All of it. As we are sent to reflect God's kingdom in this world, we go forth with what feels an impossible task. We also quickly fade and slow our steps and on our worst days, stop caring.
