So often Jesus is the center of the story. Obviously, Jesus is our center. In our reading from John, Jesus is an anonymous guest at a wedding reception and he reveals his glory without triumph or celebration. No one even notices. And yet, he pours out Grace upon Grace into empty vessels simply because they are empty and need refilling. Where are we in this strange, powerful story? Is this our wedding feast, are we the disciples, or are we feeling anonymous and in the corner, running low in energy?
