Show Notes
Advent is a season of expectation and celebration. We remind ourselves of God’s favor and sing songs of good cheer. But how do we sing about peace on earth when there doesn’t seem to BE peace on earth? How do rejoice in hope when it’s hard to know exactly what we are hoping FOR?2,000 years ago, Jesus the Messiah came to us as a lowly babe. His arrival was completely under the radar for anyone anticipating a magnificent display of royalty. Many missed him, though some were able to recognize him. And even for the few who did receive Him, there was a cultivation process until they could see that Jesus was who they were waiting for.In the same way, the kingdom often arrives into our lives as seeds rather than fully grown blossoms. If we’re looking for the wrong thing, we might just be missing the arrival of Jesus in our own lives. This Advent, we’re going to dive into what it means to become a people who see and cultivate the small seeds of love, joy, peace, and hope as we wait for them to mature in our lives.
