Show Notes

In 1856 thousands of people traveled over 4,600 miles from Liverpool, England to Salt Lake City, Utah.  They walked the last 1,200 miles of that journey pulling their meager belongings in small handcarts.  Who were these people?  Why did they make the journey?  What was it like and why did two of these groups require a massive rescue effort involving 250 wagons and thousands of rescuers?  All of this leads to another question: why does God allow bad things to happen to good people?  Listen to this episode to hear answers to all of these questions and more.   This episode is intended particularly for members of my faith, which is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, but anyone is welcome to listen.
