INT. CHING SHE DOCKING BAY - DAY SOUND: FUMBLING AROUND, FOOTSTEPS
REGINA REX
(Anxious)
We’ve got to get control of the ship back!
URSULA NASH
(upset)
We needto go back and get the others!
REGINA REX
We can’t do that until we get control of the ship first!
URSULA NASH
(calming down)
You’re right, you’re right.
REGINA REX
(also calming down)
Ok, we both need to take it down a notch and come up with a plan.
URSULA NASH
Do you have to go to the bridge to control the ship?
REGINA REX
No, no you don’t. I could disable the ship from engineering. That would buy us some time until we can figure out the bridge. Ultimately, we need the bridge.
URSULA NASH
But at least the ship wouldn’t be moving.
REGINA REX
Exactly. That doesn’t remove the challenge of dealing with Gideon though.
URSULA NASH
What the hell happened with him Regina?
REGINA REX
I have no idea. I know he was upset that we bumped our contract back but his actions now... This is something different.
URSULA NASH
I know he’s your best friend, but...
REGINA REX
(cutting her off)
Not any more. Nobody gets away with mutiny on my ship, nobody.
SOUND: TRANSITION, FOOTSTEPS PACING
INT. HABITAT - TITAN - DAY
ANKO LUMEN
(tense)
What the hell are we supposed to do now captain?
JONAS ALDRIDGE
(tense)
How should I know? I’ve never been stranded on another planet before!
SEREBELLA REON
When was the last time we tried to communicate with them?
JONAS ALDRIDGE
I tried about 10 minutes ago, it was dead.
SEREBELLA REON
Try again.
SOUND: BUTTONS PRESSED, STATIC
JONAS ALDRIDGE
Hey, is anyone there? This is Jonas in the Titan habitat. Can anyone on the Ching She hear me? Hello?
SOUND: STATIC CONTINUED
JONAS ALDRIDGE (CONT'D)
Nothing. Not even a blip, it’s like they’re not there. Anko, do you think there could be some sort of atmospheric interference?
ANKO LUMEN
Not likely. We haven’t experienced anything like that since we’ve been here and the surface conditions haven’t changed.
SOUND: FOOTSTEPS, KEYBOARD
ANKO LUMEN (CONT'D)
There’s no signs of any storm activity either. Nothing substantial anyway.
SEREBELLA REON
Which means the problem is on their end probably. Maybe something went wrong on the ship? A technical malfunction?
JONAS ALDRIDGE
It’s as good a theory as any. Let’s give them time. We might as well get back to the task at hand Anko.
ANKO LUMEN
Works for me.
SOUND: PUTTING SUITS BACK ON, TRANSITION
INT. CHING SHE DOCKING BAY - AFTERNOON SOUND: METAL GRATING BEING PULLED BACK
REGINA REX
(struggling) Almost, pull harder!
URSULA NASH
(struggling) Come on!
SOUND: METAL GRATE PULLED OFF ONTO THE FLOOR
REGINA REX
Ok, let’s go through this one more time. I go into the duct system and get to engineering. Keep Gideon distracted if he gets on comms.
URSULA NASH
Are you sure there are cameras in every corridor?
REGINA REX
Not all of them but most of them. He’d see me pretty quickly if I don’t stick to the ducts. Once I cut the main power, I’ll get back here. We should be able to wedge the hatch open.
URSULA NASH
Wait, won’t we be in the dark?
REGINA REX
No, the auxiliary power will kick in, which will keep the lights and life support going but not the engines.
URSULA NASH
Right. And once you open the hatch here, we split up.
REGINA REX
Yeah, do you remember how to set off the emergency alarms in the plant habitat?
URSULA NASH
I remember.
REGINA REX
Good, get to your cabin when you’re done. Lock it and stay in there until I reach out. I don’t want him to have any leverage on us.
URSULA NASH
Do you think that will draw him out of the bridge?
REGINA REX
I hope so. At least long enough for me to sneak in and take control. I just have to make one stop along the way.

URSULA NASH
REGINA REX
The armory.
SOUND: TRANSITION
INT. BRIDGE - LATE AFTERNOON
GILBAN TRICKEY
(slowly regaining consciousness)
Oh dammit, my head.
GIDEON JUDGE
That’s what you get for attacking me Gilban. You’re no match.
GILBAN TRICKEY
(realizing he’s zip-tied to a console)
Hey, what the hell! Untie me you prick!
GIDEON JUDGE
Not likely.
PAUSE A BEAT
GILBAN TRICKEY
(submitting to his situation)
Fine. Have it your way.
PAUSE A BEAT
SILENCE
GILBAN TRICKEY (CONT'D)
So, you bring a shelf of equipment down on my head. You lure Regina and Ursula back to the Ching She and lock them up in the docking bay. And now, we’re flying through space to...Where exactly are we going?
GILBAN TRICKEY (CONT'D)
Can you at least tell me what you’re trying to accomplish here Gideon? I don’t understand why you would high-jack the ship and leave our friends stranded to die on Titan.
GIDEON JUDGE
The contract. No more delays. I needed the 3 of you, I don’t need the rest. Our contract gets fulfilled now, no matter the cost. Those were my instructions.
GILBAN TRICKEY
Instructions? From who? And what the hell are you anyway?
GIDEON JUDGE
I’m an android.
GILBAN TRICKEY
After I saw the wires, I thought maybe your arm was a prosthetic.
PAUSE A BEAT
GILBAN TRICKEY (CONT'D)
You never answered my other question. If not Regina, who do you answer to?
GIDEON JUDGE
I answer to the 5.
SOUND: SHIP POWERING DOWN
GIDEON JUDGE (CONT'D)
NO!! What did she do?!
GILBAN TRICKEY
(seizing an opportunity) I told everyone the aft engine needed to be fixed.
GIDEON JUDGE
Don’t give me that! I know damn well an engine failure wouldn’t cause a shut down of all the power!
GILBAN TRICKEY
Oh but it would if the link to the dynamic power coupler was compromised! The whole system is intertwined and a proper engine malfunction can shut down the whole thing!
SOUND: AUXILLARY POWER TURNING ON - LOW POWER MODE
GILBAN TRICKEY (CONT'D)
(taunting Gideon)
There’s the auxiliary power. Not enough to keep the engines going though. We’re slowing down already...
PAUSE A BEAT
GILBAN TRICKEY (CONT'D)
What’s the plan now big guy?
GIDEON JUDGE
(agitated)
Be quiet! I’m thinking!

It’s about freakin’ time.
REGINA REX
(talking quietly throughout)
Quiet, I don’t want him to hear us in case he comes back.
SOUND: GILBAN BEING UNTIED AND BEING BROUGHT TO HIS FEET GILBAN TRICKEY
(talking quietly throughout)

REGINA REX

SOUND: GUN BEING HANDED TO GILBAN, GUN COCKING SOUND
GILBAN TRICKEY
I’m so in the mood for some payback.
REGINA REX
You do not kill him. That is a direct order. If you disobey me, you’re going out in the airlock with him.
GILBAN TRICKEY
Fine. I’ll just shoot him in his leg instead of his broken face.
REGINA REX

GILBAN TRICKEY
I mean we got in a tussle and I exposed his wires.
REGINA REX

(shocked realization)

LONG PAUSE
Gideon’s not human Regina. He’s an android.
SOUND: REGINA WALKING ACROSS THE BRIDGE AND SITTING DOWN
REGINA REX
(in shock but not surprised)
You know, I think deep down somehow I knew already. There were signs, I just chose to ignore them. His mannerisms, things about his voice, something was always there. But, I just went with it because he was my friend. My best friend. My only friend for a long time.
GILBAN TRICKEY
I’m sorry Regina.
REGINA REX
(getting angry, still in a hushed tone)
I need him alive Gilban. I need to know why he betrayed me and committed mutiny.
GILBAN TRICKEY
(trying to stay in a hushed tone)
He said it was the contract.
REGINA REX
(back to full volume) Ourcontract? The Cambridge contract?
GILBAN TRICKEY
(still whispering)
He said there could be no more delays based on instructions he was given. I thought we were supposed to be quiet...
REGINA REX
(cutting him off) Instructions? I never gave him any instructions.
GILBAN TRICKEY
(hesitant, almost afraid to say it, back to regular speaking volume)
Gideon mentioned that he doesn’t actually work for you.
REGINA REX
(even more angry, louder) Who the hell does he work for?!
GILBAN TRICKEY
The 5.

REGINA REX
SOUND: TRANSITION, HATCH, FOOTSTEPS, SETTING A BODY ON A TABLE
INT. HABITAT - TITAN - NIGHT
SEREBELLA REON
Hey, I’ve been trying to raise the Ching She on comms and.. What the hell happened?
JONAS ALDRIDGE
Anko passed out.
SEREBELLA REON
Why? What did you do?
JONAS ALDRIDGE
Nothing! It wasn’t me! I think it was exhaustion or dehydration maybe. He’s been out there for a long time without any breaks.
SEREBELLA REON
That doesn’t surprise me.
JONAS ALDRIDGE
Help me get his helmet and gloves off so I can check his pulse and breathing.
SOUND: REMOVAL OF HELMET AND GLOVES
SEREBELLA REON
Do you have any medical training?
JONAS ALDRIDGE
I picked up some basics on Earth. Ursula showed me a few things too.
SEREBELLA REON
I bet she has.
JONAS ALDRIDGE
Now isn’t the time to be a smart ass.
SEREBELLA REON
Sorry. Do you think he’ll be ok?
SOUND: FUMBLING OF EQUIPMENT, KEYBOARD, SCANNING SOUND JONAS ALDRIDGE
His vitals look normal so far. His breathing is ok. I’m guessing it’s dehydration. I’m going start him on a hydration pack and see if that works.
SOUND: OPENING PACKAGES AND USING A HYDRO PACK
SEREBELLA REON
He’s lost a lot of weight. He was skinny to begin with but now he looks almost emaciated.
JONAS ALDRIDGE
Ursula kept warning him to take better care of himself.
SEREBELLA REON
I remember. He’s not the greatest listener.
JONAS ALDRIDGE
You think? He’s so driven to be right he’s willing to run himself into the ground to prove it.
SEREBELLA REON
Is he right? About Titan?
JONAS ALDRIDGE
No. He’s not. We’ve been running in circles out there for weeks. We’re getting nowhere. I’ve been supportive but also trying to get him to realize that his equipment is not going to work here.
SEREBELLA REON
So, Europa then?
JONAS ALDRIDGE
I don’t know. We’ll see. You were saying you didn’t hear from the Ching She yet?
SEREBELLA REON
No. I can’t raise anyone on comms. It’s like you said, it’s just like the ship isn’t even there.
JONAS ALDRIDGE
It’s been a long time now. I’m starting to get worried about what’s going on.
SEREBELLA REON
Me too.

REGINA REX
That bastard! He’s been working for the 5 this whole time!?
GILBAN TRICKEY
It seems so yes.
REGINA REX
So he’s been manipulating everything according to the 5. Just how long has this been going on?
GILBAN TRICKEY
I have no idea.
REGINA REX
Wait, that means this contract is for theirs too, right? Why else would they care about Cambridge?
GILBAN TRICKEY
Cambridge could a front for the 5.
REGINA REX
Oh dammit. Things just got way more complicated.

URSULA NASH
(over speaker)

REGINA REX
Good, stay there, we’re going to step 2.
URSULA NASH

GILBAN TRICKEY
What’s step 2?
REGINA REX
(cold and calculating)
We’re going to lure him right where I want him. And then we’re going to find something out about androids I’ve always been curious about.
GILBAN TRICKEY

REGINA REX
What happens when you flush one out of an airlock?

(sounding jittery)
What do you expect when you do nothing but work for hours on end without eating, drinking or taking a break? It’s exactly what Ursula warned us about.
ANKO LUMEN
Yeah, yeah, spare me the speech, I get it.
SOUND: STANDING UP
JONAS ALDRIDGE
If you get it, why are you standing up?
ANKO LUMEN
Because I’ve been asleep for, for how long exactly?
JONAS ALDRIDGE
You’ve been unconscious, for just over 12 hours.
ANKO LUMEN
12 hours? Are you serious!? How could you let me sleep like that for so long?!
JONAS ALDRIDGE
You passed out Anko! You were very dehydrated and it’s obvious you’re not eating either!
ANKO LUMEN
I don’t have time! Not since you and the witch put me under all this pressure with this impending deadline!
JONAS ALDRIDGE

(cutting off Jonas)

JONAS ALDRIDGE

SEREBELLA REON
(losing her mind, sounding impatient)
Shut up! Shut up! I can’t take it with you two anymore! This constant, childish bickering is ridiculous! Yourworkisn’t our big concern right now. We haven’t been able to raise the Ching She on comms.
ANKO LUMEN
How long has it been?
SEREBELLA REON
Just over 42 hours since last contact.
ANKO LUMEN
In that case, I’m getting back to work. Our very survival may depend on my machines.

(agitated, with mouthful of protein bar)

(cutting off Jonas, sounding edgy)
Jonas, I’m freaking out.
JONAS ALDRIDGE
Why? What’s wrong?
SEREBELLA REON
(getting more unhinged)
What if they don’t come back for us? What if something happened to them?
JONAS ALDRIDGE
Serebella, I don’t think you should...
SEREBELLA REON
(cutting him off again)
What if the ship blew up? What if we’re stranded here to die Jonas?
JONAS ALDRIDGE
Look, let’s catch our breath and...
SEREBELLA REON
(starts pacing, talking fast)
What if I can’t shake this? Look at my hands!
JONAS ALDRIDGE
Shake what? Now, you’re freaking me out!
SEREBELLA REON
I don’t have anything left here Jonas! I need to get back on the ship. You need to make that happen!
JONAS ALDRIDGE
Anything left? What are you talking about?
SEREBELLA REON
(intense, getting in Jonas’ face a bit)
It doesn’t matter! You need to fix this and get us back on the Ching She! Now!
JONAS ALDRIDGE
How? What am I supposed to...
SEREBELLA REON
(Cutting him off)
You’re the captain, figure it out!!
SOUND: TRANSITION, KEYBOARD
INT. CHING SHE BRIDGE - NIGHT
REGINA REX
Ursula, stay in your cabin and don’t leave it unless you hear from me or Gilban. Got that?
URSULA NASH
(over speaker)
Uh, ok. What happened to the plan?
REGINA REX
We’re going to plan B.
URSULA NASH
There’s a plan B?
REGINA REX
There is now, sit tight. Rex out. New plan Gilban.
GILBAN TRICKEY
What was wrong with the old plan?
REGINA REX
The old plan was made before I knew Gideon was an android. The old plan wouldn’t work but this new one...
Have you ever set off an EMP?
GILBAN TRICKEY
Yes but not on the ship I was currently on. We’ll blow the electronics of the Ching She if we do that. I’d prefer not to be stranded in space if it’s all the same to you.
REGINA REX
I’m not an idiot Gilban. I’m not talking about setting off a full pulse. I want to lower the power enough so it only extends about 30 feet out. Do you think you can calibrate the EMP burst emitter for a localized pulse?
GILBAN TRICKEY
Hmmm, yes, I believe I can do that.
REGINA REX
Ok. I’m going to stall him and then lure the bastard to the boarding deck. That should be a big enough area to work with and it’s close to the airlock. You’ll need to get in there before we do and find a hiding spot.
GILBAN TRICKEY
The parts closet in the back of the boarding deck should work. Just try to stand near that area and get him as close to the closet as you can. I have no way of testing this first so we’ll be winging it. The pulse may only knock him out for 30 seconds, I have no idea. It may not even work.
REGINA REX
It should disrupt him enough so we can at least subdue him.
GILBAN TRICKEY
I guess we’ll find out.
REGINA REX
After I get his attention, make your way into storage to get the emitter. Take the lower most corridor, that should keep you out of his way.
GIDEON JUDGE
(over speaker)
Captain Rex, how clever of you to distract me and take the bridge.
REGINA REX
Go! Now!
SOUND: KEYPAD
REGINA REX (CONT'D)
Yeah, how about that?
SOUND: FOOTSTEPS, HATCH
REGINA REX (CONT'D)
Well, it is my ship after all isn’t it Gideon?
GIDEON JUDGE
I supposed it is. For the moment.
REGINA REX
Why? Why would you do this to me knowing it would be the end of our friendship?
GIDEON JUDGE
I gave you too much credit. I thought you’d be smarter than this. The other contracts were never our priority.
REGINA REX
That’s news to me.
GIDEON JUDGE
Like I said, I thought you were smarter that this.
REGINA REX
You’ll have to excuse me for not understanding the importance of the Cambridge contract. But then again I don’t work for the 5, do I?
GIDEON JUDGE
Oh but you do, you just never realized it. That contract was theirs all along.
REGINA REX
I don’t understand Gideon. You’ve been with me all these years and now you betray me for the 5?
GIDEON JUDGE
I’ve served the 5 all along, ever since I was created.
REGINA REX
And that’s another thing! You’re an android? How could you not tell me that?
GIDEON JUDGE
I follow the orders of the 5, I serve them an no-one else. I have no choice.
REGINA REX
What do you mean, you have no choice?
GIDEON JUDGE
You should ask Ursula that question.
REGINA REX
Ursula? What does she have to do with this?
GIDEON JUDGE
Enough stalling. I’ll ask respectfully that you hand over the ship. I don’t want to hurt you.
REGINA REX
Out of respect for our friendship and to give you one last chance, I think we should meet face-to-face so maybe you’ll listen to reason. But not on the bridge. You won’t be getting that back while I’m still breathing.
GIDEON JUDGE
All right. What do you propose?
REGINA REX
We meet on the boarding deck. It’s a big, open room where there won’t be any surprises.
GIDEON JUDGE
That’s fair. See you there in 5 minutes.
REGINA REX
Let’s make it 15 minutes. I need time to get Gilban to medical to see Ursula. You banged him up pretty good.
GIDEON JUDGE
15 minutes, no tricks. Come alone.
SOUND: KEYPAD
REGINA REX
Gilban? You there?
PAUSE A BEAT
GILBAN TRICKEY
(over speaker)
I’m here captain. The EMP is ready to go.
REGINA REX
Get your ass into the closet of the boarding deck now. Move fast. He’s meeting me there in 15 minutes, he’s probably already on his way but you’re closer so you should beat him there.
GILBAN TRICKEY
Should?
Rex out.
SOUND: KEYPAD
REGINA REX
REGINA REX (CONT'D)
Ursula? Come in...
URSULA NASH
(over speaker)
There you are! What’s going on?
REGINA REX
No time to explain. Get to the airlock and hide nearby. Be ready to open it quickly for what we’re doing.
URSULA NASH
Yes captain.

REGINA REX
(walking in)
Already here waiting I see.
GIDEON JUDGE

REGINA REX
(mocking him)

GIDEON JUDGE

What do you hope to accomplish here? You do know you can’t match my strength and speed don’t you?
REGINA REX
I just wanted to look into your eyes and see.
GIDEON JUDGE

I could swear you’re real. Your eyes; you do have a soul, or spirit or whatever. Don’t you?
GIDEON JUDGE
