R004:When Grief is Your Story - Ada Floyd

June 15, 2017

Five children, four pregnancies, three living children, two broken parents, one God.

Ada excels at math. Years after the loss of twin boys, the formula of 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 still tumbles in her mind. This sequence of digits symbolizes grief, joy, a marriage that has beaten the infinitesimal odds, and the comfort of a God she couldn’t believe existed, yet raged against. In this interview, Ada shares poignant moments of hope and defeat as she fights for her premature sons and against an unfair God. She takes us through her journey toward a career that forces her to revisit grief regularly, and she explains how a broken, imperfect and leaky vessel brought her back to faith and a life of helping others find light in profound darkness.
