Travis:

Hey guys, it's Travis. Albritton here head of content over at Buzzsprout. And I just wanted to make this special episode to let you know that we recently launched a brand new podcast. So while how to start a podcast will continue to live and, you know, we'll put out other seasons in the future. We wanted to create something that would update on a weekly basis. Something that you could, uh, consistently learn from. So what you're about to hear is the trailer for Buzzcast, which is our new podcast. And then after the trailer is over, I'll let you know where you can go to listen to it. Welcome to Buzzcast. The one stop shop for podcasters big and small. My name is Travis Albritten and I am the head of content over a Buzzsprout, which essentially just means my job is to help podcasters just like you find podcasting success. So whether that's creating episodes for buzz cast, writing blogs at buzzsprout.com/blog or interacting with podcasters in our Facebook group, I just love being able to help podcasters find success and reach the goals that they set out to reach when they first started podcasting. But enough about me, let's talk about buzz cast. So we're doing something that is really unprecedented in a lot of ways in the podcasting world, and that we are not just having this be a typical podcast instead of just having one type of show that comes out periodically Buzzcast will feature several different unique shows. All in one podcast feed, you can think of it kind of like TV channels. If you were to navigate over to the discovery channel right now, you might find dirty jobs playing its newest episode, or maybe its deadliest catch. Or if you're listening to this during shark week, lots of shows about sharks. And so buzz cast is going to kind of be like the discovery channel equivalent of a podcast. We're going to curate different podcasts. Different shows, dedicated to covering different aspects of podcasting, but everything that we make and everything that we produce for the Buzzcast will help you grow your podcast, become a better podcaster and help you feel connected to other podcasters, just like you. And I'm excited to announce that on December 17th, we're going to be launching with two shows. So there'll be two specific shows on Buzzcast that you can listen to and learn from the first one. Well, we posted every single Monday and it's simply called five minute Mondays, and it's just going to be a quick tips and strategies podcast to improve your podcast or to help you become a better podcaster. We'll do things like a tech and gear reviews, how to increase audience engagement and how to stay focused and reach your podcasting goal. So really practical and really simple strategies that you can implement immediately. And that show five minute Mondays will premiere on Monday, December 17th. The second show we're going to be launching on Buzzcast is called podcasting in real life. And so what that is going to be is conversations with real pod-casters in the middle of their podcasting journey. So not necessarily the experts that you typically hear a lot on these interview kind of podcasts. We're really focusing more on people that are still in the process of trying to grow their podcast and achieve their goals. And it's really going to be about exploring the people behind the show, really looking at the human element of what goes into making a podcast and putting out content consistently, and people are going to be sharing their personal experiences, how podcasting is positively impacted their life. And just some really cool stories of how people have used podcast to have an impact on their audience. And so that show podcasting and real life will premiere on Wednesday, December 19th and come out every single Wednesday. So that's how we're going to kick off Buzzcast here on December 17th. I am really excited about everything that's coming out and I know it's going to help you so so much. Uh, if you're interested in hearing more content from us, make sure to subscribe to Buzzcast so you can get new episodes in your feet as they come out and leave a review on Apple podcasts to let me know on a scale of one to 10, how excited you are about Buzzcast. I hope that you do subscribe to Buzzcast and whether you're just trying to grow your podcast, trying to grow as a podcaster or want to hear about other people's perspectives and stories and journeys in podcasting Buzzcast is going to be a fantastic resource for you.
