She is author of the book, Gatecrashers, an exploration of self-taught artists who emerged in the post World War I period. At the time of our recording she was curating two new exhibits for the High Museum, Gatecrashers: The Rise of the Self-Taught Artist in America, and Really Free: The Radical Art of Nellie Mae Rowe.
