SPEAKER_02It really is. And you know, I it's I like talking to people because of the fact is, you know, it uh the show lasts longer. Um, I'll talk about anything, you know, as long as it's decent. I mean, um, I don't want you to call in and you know telling us about some indecent stuff you did, you know. I don't like that stuff, but uh, you know, we'll talk about anything. If you want to talk about Christianity, politics, movies, whatever, um, we'll do it. But see, that is this is so cool. I'm glad you called in. Um, I really like this new soundboard that I got. Just sad that uh I can't play my sound effects.

SPEAKER_02No, they they were set up. I used them the other day when I did it, did it live, and for some reason they are not working now. Um, I have wait, let's see. Yeah, I got uh yeah, that's weird. Yeah, they worked last time, but uh it it's like anything, you know. You're gonna um actually wait, do I have the volume up?

SPEAKER_02Yeah, whatever. It's uh I'll figure it out next time. It's it's always something, you know. That's why it's been so long since I've done this that you know I'm trying to get back in the loop. That's why I'm kind of doing this show when I did one two weeks ago. And uh, you know, I print out like I was telling them, I print out the stuff like old news where they actually read it. Um, because I can't see the the computer screen if I got too many of them. So uh, but uh yeah, this is cool. See, and so when we do our little shows, we can have actually people calling in. Because uh, you know, with Pastor Nick here, we're gonna probably do a few uh some shows about the Bible or um whatever you want to call it. And uh so that's something that's in the works, and that's gonna be more his department because he's a pastor, so he knows a lot more than I do, even though I I go to church and I've been to church all my life. Um, I don't know a lot, believe it or not. And I've been learning a lot from him because he he delves a little bit more into the Bible than believe it or not, a lot of pastors, which uh is a good thing. So um, all right, Pastor. Well, I appreciate you calling in, um, at least now that I I know that it works, and um, yeah, we've got to do more of this. So I was hoping you would call in. I know um go ahead. Oh, and that's good because I can actually uh as soon as I figure out how to do it, because like I said, I haven't done StreamYard in a while, I can actually share the link to bring them in so they can be wherever they're at, uh next door or 100 miles away, and they can actually join the show. Conspiracy Scroll And Fringe Podcast Picks
SPEAKER_00right now. Shoot, I was in uh I was just watching, I was reading a book and then I picked up my phone because somebody sent me a reel or something. Uh I was on Facebook, and probably the last 45 minutes I've been mindlessly scrolling a bunch of dumb stuff. And it was uh the last thing was some lady sharing like all these conspiracy theories, and I was just nodding my head too much, like, yeah, that's right, that's right. And so it's good that you called me out of that. So I don't go too far into the spiral.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I know that's uh I've I've delved into some of that stuff too, and it can be kind of crazy. Um, I I mean, I may believe some of it, but I don't know if I believe all of it. But yeah, I get involved in that too sometimes. I you know, especially here lately, I've been seeing the Nephilims. Um, reels, and I'm like, you know, I believe in the Nephilims, but uh it's just I don't know, man. It's it's it's crazy. So I get I get uh I I saved you from uh all that stuff for now.
SPEAKER_00Well, I'll tell you what, um I I think I was just telling you earlier about a podcast I listened to a lot called Blurry Creatures. Really recommend those guys. Um, you know, they're they are Christian guys, but they get into all the, well, I mean the blurry stuff they call it, you know, the stuff that's kind of like, you know, not very um very focused on very often. I don't know how they would describe it, but man, they've got, you know, they'll talk about Bigfoot. In fact, like most of their guests they'll say, like, you know, what are your thoughts on Bigfoot? And a lot of them share a story of, you know, thinking they saw him or this or that. And um, I know back on your podcast you had a guest on that had quite the experience with it. And that was, you know, that kind of opened my eyes on because I used to be real uh real skeptical. And I'm not saying like I'm a firm believer, but I'm real open to it. You know, there's there's a lot of stuff out there where people have seen some stuff that can't be explained any other way.
SPEAKER_02I'm glad you listened to it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah, it was good. I like that guest. Um, where was she from? Was it uh Kentucky? I think it was I can't remember. Yeah, it seemed like she's in Kentucky.
SPEAKER_02Um, literally, I was on Twitter back then and I just put it out there. If anybody experienced Bigfoot, contact me. And I think it took me five months before she actually contacted me because apparently people were scared of Bigfoot.
SPEAKER_00Right. Well, and they're scared to be like labeled as a you know, somebody that's a nut job. But that's one of the things I like about this blurry creatures group is they they they talk about that, but that's not the only thing. Like, you know, they're not like obsessed with it, it doesn't feel like. And um, you know, the first couple times you listen to them, a lot of people might be like, I don't know, man, these guys are out there. Uh, but then you catch kind of catch their heart for it and everything, you realize, like, man, they're they're not uh these guys aren't lunatics, you know. And and they're talking about, you know, they'll talk about biblical stuff that's on the fringe, you know, the Nephilim or um, you know, the fallen angels, the watchers, book of Enoch, things like that that aren't necessarily in scripture, but they um align with it a lot of it. And a lot of people are curious about that. And so I've been digging into it just so that I can maybe help guide them along the way. So I'm still learning that stuff right now. I'm no expert whatsoever.

From Bigfoot To UFO Rabbit Holes
SPEAKER_02next Saturday, I got a busy Saturday, I'm going to a Puerto Rican festival, watermelon festival in Brooksville, and then I'm going to Ocala for a Bigfoot conference. Never been to one.
SPEAKER_03Oh man.
SPEAKER_02So um, yeah, it's it's at 10 o'clock to I think six, and it's only 30 bucks. And uh they got a bunch of uh Bigfoot people. They have a lady from Etsy that's bringing, she makes like Bigfoot plushie. Sohie for her. Um, and you know, basically uh they got people that just make Bigfoot crafts, like uh they got a person that makes uh it's like that, you know, that wood where they carve it out and makes Bigfoot, yeah, all kinds of bigfoot stuff. So I'm just curious to see. Um, I you know, that's the only cryptid that I like as far as I mean, I don't know if cool to like cryptids, but I I think um I mean all the other ones I'm not crazy about Mothman. Um right, although they there's people saying there's Mothman in Zephyr Hills now. Have you heard that? Uh-uh, I didn't heard that. I'll have to send it to you, but there's been a lot of people reporting of seeing a Mothman. Um be interesting to see. I I don't know. I do believe that there's things that we don't know. Um, yeah, and you know, but then again, you know, one thing that boggles my mind is uh, you know, like the Lochness monster, we got all this technology, but uh we can see uh a man on the moon, so to speak. Allegedly. Yeah, allegedly, but when we look out of the Loch Ness and we see the creature, we get a but a fuzzy picture, like right, right. Yeah, didn't we go to the moon? I you know, I don't I don't think we did, but that's another story. I don't either. I don't either.
SPEAKER_00I think I know more people that that don't believe it than people that do.
SPEAKER_02So well, I I used to believe it, and then I started uh when I was with uh boss hog radio, we started talking about that and kind of changed my mind a little bit. Like, did we really go? Um, I you know, I don't know. Um, it was a sound stage with uh Stanley Krubrick Kubrick. Uh yeah, that's according to what um yeah, so I'm gonna go to that Bigfoot conference, see what it's like. Um, because apparently in O'Cala, uh there's a uh I'm in the group, I just don't you know follow along too much, but there's been a lot of Bigfoot sightings up there. Uh Florida, we also have Skunk Ape, which is basically like a same idea. Same idea. It's like a whitish looking right. Um, you know, then they got the Yeti, they got uh like they got a different Bigfoot, you know, in different parts of the country. So it's just uh it's pretty interesting. Um, will I ever see one? Now I don't know if I sent you the one episode where I talked to the lady from the Discovery Channel talking about being abduct uh abducted by aliens. No, I didn't catch that one. Okay, I'll have to find that. That is an interesting one. Um, I saw her on the Discovery Channel, it was a TV show, and then I I finally reached out to her. She is a medium, so uh I don't I don't read into mediums, but she said she was abducted by aliens. She had 28 hybrid children. Um they impregnated her, kind of like Jesus, somewhat, and the children walk among us as hybrid aliens, and um, so it's really creepy because she tells me something else that she didn't tell the guy that was uh filming her. So I won't give that away. You'll have to listen to that. Um, but yeah, they abducted her from her bedroom. Um, and it's really a creepy story. Then again, it took me a while to find her. Well, no, it didn't take me a while. I just literally so so how I find people when I was doing doing the show regularly, I um I would reach out to them, I'd watch TV shows, and if I seen them on the TV shows, I would reach out um and basically do fishing. Hopefully that they contact me. She actually contacted me. And people don't realize, you know, when you do a show, it it's it's not that easy because I had to prepare. And how I prepared for her, I read up a little bit about her, plus I seen her on the show, and um, so you can't just go in um and acting all kind of dumb. You know, you want to be somewhat prepared, uh, introduce them so that way they come back. And um, so yeah, it's just interesting. Um, and then again, it's hard to find people that were abducted because they do not want to talk about it. And interesting, the show that she was on, she um they were talking about um Eisenhower. President Eisenhower gave the Grays permission to abduct us if he couldn't kill it. And they had a confirmation from one of his relatives. Is that true? I I don't know. It's a theory, but um, it's just interesting, especially with uh this UFO stuff that uh President Trump's talking about. Right. I tend to believe it.
SPEAKER_00Was it was it Eisenhower? Was he the one that they said had gone down to um Antarctica and talked to the the race of people that they believe live down there? I believe you know yeah, I think that was Eisenhower because Admiral Bird had gone down and done um what was it, Operation High Jump, I think. Yeah and and you know was exploring there and said there was like a hole in the in at the South Pole and there's a like a hollow spot in the earth or an inner earth or something, and there's uh uh advanced race there, and a lot of people think that's where the um UFOs or UAPs come from, is is places like that. And I'm like, I have no way of knowing. It sounds intriguing. I'm open to hearing more. How am I gonna prove whether it's true or not? You know, so it's just at that point, I just say, okay, maybe, maybe that explains some of what's going on. Um we all know there's something going on beyond like just our our like own like 3D, you know, natural realm that we see. We know there's a spiritual world, the Bible confirms that stuff, but it's like what what else is going on? You know, what else is there that maybe we don't need to know, but we see stuff, you know. We hear all these reports about, you know, the whether it's the tic-tacks or the the other crap that like the triangle with the three lights, whatever it is, you know, we hear all this stuff and we're like, where's it come from? Where's you know who's behind it? Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I remember seeing that a lot of times. Well, see, that's what I want to do. Like, if we do a show like that, it'd be nice to do stuff because I think people would be interested in, you know, just finding out. Um, I may be able to get some guests that are um, and that's what I do when I go to some of these shows. Um, I will try to get cards so I can actually have them on.

SPEAKER_02Um, you know, people just don't like I had a guy one time, he wanted to do a podcast with me. When I told him what all was involved, uh, he changed his tune. And um like he wanted me to do all the work, and I'm like, no, dude, you know, he wanted to do it on uh baseball. And I'm like, dude, I know nothing about baseball. You got a pad, ball, glove. I don't know any of the moves or anything because it's been so long, and you know, I'm I'm not gonna do all the work, you got to do the work too. And he decided he didn't want to do it, so but um yeah, so when I go, I'm gonna get uh um some information um and see if I can get somebody on because you know it'd just be nice to know um then have you on, and and and then and like I said, that's the neat thing about this. Side Stories On Names And Tragedy
SPEAKER_02at your house, you're on here, I'm here in the studio at the Nazarene church. So if anybody would like to come to church, we have Sunday service at 10 to like 11:15, then Sunday school from 11:30 to noon. And this is Pastor Nick Deford. Is it Deford or DeFord?
SPEAKER_00DeFord, sure, either one. Funny story, I'll make it quick about how we got our last name. People are like, where's that from? I'm like, Well, uh, I guess just um illiteracy mainly, but I think my grandparents traced it back, and the name was originally Dufort, like a French name, I guess. Yeah. D-U-F-O-R-T, probably. And my grandfather's it was like his grandfather, I think. Uh, the whole family was living in in New York, and one of the brothers, the older brother, um, hopped on a boat, went over to like Detroit, worked at the um maybe like the um at the uh rail yard or the shipyard or something. And um one of his younger brothers, they were all Catholic back then. And he told his mom he didn't want to go to Catholic church anymore. And she said, Well, if you're living in my house, you're going to the Catholic church. And he says, Okay, fine, I'll go find my brother. So he opts on a boat, you know, traces his brother's path, goes to find him. Um, can't find him working there anymore. And I mean, we're talking like probably, I'm guessing eight early mid-1800s or something like that. So, you know, it was like before uh, you know, it wasn't communication happening very quickly. So he didn't get the memo that his brother had moved. And it turns out he had gotten like a land grant up northern in more central northern Michigan. And um, one of the guys where he had worked said, Oh, you look like a guy that used to work here. That might have been your brother. He got this land grant. So he goes up there, traces him down, finds him, gets his own land grant, and he didn't know how to spell his own last name, literally. So he just tells the clerk when he's filling out the grant application, tells the clerk his last name, and somehow, between like access between New York and Michigan and whatever, uh, the the clerk wrote D Ford. So, really, there's no right way to say our last name. Like, who knows? It's it's the wrong name anyway. But we've got it so long we're not changing it.
SPEAKER_02So it could have been the Chevy.
SPEAKER_00You know, we uh that was the joke was um because grandpa worked for General Motors, you know. That's pretty much what we drove with Chevies, or you know, maybe if it was old enough we could afford a Buick. Yeah, but you got a Chevy truck now, so I got an old Chevy truck. Well, not old as I wanted, but it's a 94 and uh it's easy to work on.
SPEAKER_02Man, the um my dad had a a boxed Chevy. So I don't think you were here at the time. They had a uh a girl by the name of Jennifer Odom. She had gotten murdered. And I think I heard about that. Yeah, that was about they finally they actually found her killer now after like 30 years.
SPEAKER_00Yes, that was the one. Yeah, I remember that's why I heard the story. They found the guy.
SPEAKER_02So the the weird thing about it, the truck that he used, if I'm not mistaken, was the same year as my dad and color. It was a blue and it was a boxed Chevy. I I don't remember the year. Um, obviously about 30 years ago, but my dad had one, and I'm like, wow, dad, that's crazy. Like, hopefully they don't pull you over. But yeah, so you know, finally after so many years the family did have uh closure, they did find the guy. I'll have to uh find the story and and actually maybe do the story. Uh but uh yeah, I'm I'm just glad that they brought the killer to justice. Um and that's sad, that's like probably one of the biggest things to ever happen in Pasco County, um, Florida. I mean, I'm sure there's others, but uh of course I haven't uh heard anything. So what else you want to talk about right quick? Or I mean if you're ready to get off.
SPEAKER_00You're talking about cryptids, and another another guy that I watch a lot on um YouTube or catch him on Spotify, his his uh it's Wendy Goon. Have you ever heard of him?
SPEAKER_02No, I can't remember.
SPEAKER_00W-E-N-D-I Wendy Goon. And he does a lot of different stuff. I actually I think the first one of the first videos of his that I saw was actually nothing to do with cryptids or anything weird like that. He was actually covering um the Ruby Ridge incident where the ATF went in and basically shot that guy's like dog and then his son and then his wife. Yeah, and and and it was like, you know, if you're not mad at the you know government or at least the ATF, you should be. You know, it's just like they're terrible. And then the next year they go in and massacred everybody at Waco, which I've been to. I've been to the Waco thing, and and not everything they did was right. Like, you know, there was some some bad stuff going on. They were definitely like um uh having you know, 13-year-old girls and stuff having babies and you know with the adult men. Like that none of that's okay. Um, I agree. And there definitely should have been something done about that, but there shouldn't have been, I think it was was the 51-day standoff where over 80 people were killed, and a lot of them were women and children, and and that never should have happened. Um but that was that was our ATF and FBI that did that stuff, and I don't think they've reformed them since then. And um, and so that kind of but anyway, that was my first like video. Wendy Goon just did like this hour and a half video laying out the Ruby Ridge thing, and so I started watching some of his other stuff, and and I'd ignore a lot of his cryptid stuff, and I haven't paid too much attention to a lot of it, but um, if you're into that stuff, he's your guy for that. You know, he's real um, he's real good with it. But he'll do like a three and a half hour episode, he called it like this cryptic iceberg, you know, where he'll uh just keep going deeper and deeper into it. So he's got a bunch of that stuff.
SPEAKER_02So
Are Cryptids Evil? Pastor Answers
SPEAKER_02let me ask you a question, and yeah, as as a pastor, so I'm putting you on the spot here. Yeah, what do you I mean so I mean people associate cryptids with evil, I I guess. Um I mean, is Bigfoot evil? If if Bigfoot's real, I don't think Bigfoot's evil, I just think but then you got the Mothman, you've got um what's that one? The the shadow person, which ought to take you out of that too. Uh there's there's other, I mean, I there's like 36 different cryptids. I've seen pictures of them, and they all appear to be pretty much evil. I mean, yeah. Are they evil? I don't know. I've never met them, but uh you know, as a pastor, what what is your your opinion? I mean, your opinion is I respect it, whether if I agree with it or not.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, sure, sure. Well, I think first of all, um when it comes to let's just start with Bigfoot, because that seems like that's simpler. Um, there's a lot of stuff like in the ocean or wherever that we haven't even discovered, like life species, different species of of uh, you know, things that are alive. And and there's stuff that we don't know that's living on this planet that we could say God created and but we haven't found it yet. So I guess it in that simplest sense, it's not too crazy off the wall to say, yeah, maybe Bigfoot's real. You know, I'm open to that. Um, just because I haven't seen one doesn't mean he doesn't exist. Okay. Now with cryptids, and you brought up the evil side of things, um, you know, there's a lot of things in scripture we see where where there are evil creatures. Uh, one of the things that I was digging into recently or listening to, there's this little snippet of a story early on when Moses is leading the Israelites. Um, actually, I think it's Joshua at this point. Moses has died. Joshua's leading the Israelites to take the promised land. And they have a battle and they um they kill a guy named Og, OG, Og, King of Bashan. And it just says that he had, I think I got the right guy, says that he had an um an iron bed and it's something like however many cubits. It's like 15 feet long or something like that. I don't know exactly. And you're like, okay, is he a giant? There were giants that they talked about. They said there was giants in the land. They said we looked like grasshoppers in their eyes, and that's how we felt. So it's like clearly there's some men, humans, giants. I don't know how where do giants that big come from. Is that straight human or is there some kind of hybrid DNA? If that's the case, um, then what is it? And and what the guy on this um podcast was saying was that the um that bed they actually found replicas of it in other kingdoms, and it was always tied to a uh a demonic um, how would we call it like a demonic mating ritual of some kind. I don't know how he exactly explained it. I don't need to go back and like pay more attention to it. But basically it was a demonic mating ritual that was supposed to somehow create these um these hybrid beings. And so you say as a pastor, like, well, I mean, as a pastor, all that really changes to me is I have to dig deeper into the scripture. I mean, I got a Bible right here, I'm kind of in this little studio thing. I got my Bible in here, this is where I do some of my work, and um and and it's like I just have to dig deeper into the Bible and say what lines up with that and what contradicts it, because the Bible's gonna be the the supreme book or or authority in my life because I believe God has given it to us, and and so I'm gonna go by that. But we have to investigate it and interpret it. And when there's passages that we're tempted to skip over, like they're uncomfortable to us, you know, Genesis 6, just before the flood, there was um, it says the the Nephilim were on the earth in those days when the sons of God came down and um had relations with the daughters of men with any that they chose. They said they were beautiful. And for my whole like life until just the last year or two, when I've looked into that more, everybody would say, Oh, well, the daughters of men was like uh the good girls, the the the the line that comes from uh Adam and Eve's son, Seth, the the righteous son that was still living. And and then the sons of God that corrupted with them was the um uh the sons that came from Cain. It's like, well, that doesn't make sense because the sons of God should be the righteous ones. So, you know, even if you try to invert that, it's like, no, none of this makes sense. It's not saying like the good kids and the bad kids. We're talking about divine um uh beings, like like spiritual beings that came down and um created a race of children with human women, and they overstepped a boundary that God had created them to have. They were supposed to do spiritual things working as his divine counsel, and instead they came down and wanted to corrupt God's creation. And then people say, Well, that can't be. How could they're a spirit being, they don't have a body? Okay, then how did God meet up with Abraham and have a meal with him and walk with him to Sodom and Gomorrah and investigate it? You know, clearly, God and we can um extrapolate from there that perhaps the angels that traveled with him, there's two angels with him, that that God and angels um or or angelic beings can take on human flesh for a time and for a purpose. Obviously, God can do what he wants, but it seems like he's created his divine counsel or his what what the scripture calls the sons of God to be able to do that.

SPEAKER_00So anyway, all that said, who knows where cryptids come from? Maybe there's some weird um fallen angel, demonic being, whatever you want to call it, that has procreated with something, and these creatures exist, and they have um evil spiritual powers and yet some type of a physical body on this earth. I'm open to that because I don't see it um, I don't see it contradicting scripture in any way. I don't see it coming directly from scripture either. So I'm not gonna like be a on a hard line. I'm not ready to say that yet. Yeah, no, I'm open to investigating it. You know, I don't think that that makes you like a bad person or a bad Christian or a non-believer if you look into it. Yeah, um, I just say don't make it your only thing. That's my biggest thing. Is like don't be so involved in it that that's like you're um just so zoned in on that that you miss everything else, and more importantly, that you miss out on an actual relationship with Jesus Christ. That's the most important thing.

SPEAKER_00Yeah, relationship with Christ.
SPEAKER_02Some people make make stuff like that, they're gods. That's like yeah, they eat, breathe, sleep, and like, oh Bigfoot and this and that. So no, that makes sense. You know, that makes sense. It's I don't even know if if we're even meant to even find these creatures if they do exist. Uh, I think I would be scared to death if I did run across something like that. Um, but yeah, I'll I'll have to tell you the story later, but we'll do that as another story about the shadow person that I met um actually uh twice. Once when I was a kid and once as an adult. Um that'll freak you out. I may have told you, but I don't remember because when you get old, you forget. Um, I was hoping other people would call
Booking Guests And Keeping It Fun
SPEAKER_02in. Um, I guess once I start doing this regularly, because I find Sundays. Yeah, I gotta get on a schedule. Um, that's why I'm coming, that's why I came in tonight to kind of go over stuff because the the other this thing right here, I paid like $400 and it doesn't want to work correctly. So that's why I turned that off and I'm using the other one. Um, but well, it is what it is. I like this better. Um, it's actually easier. You don't have to install any software, really. Okay, it's just plug and play. Um, I had to get the the phone ready because I'm sitting here wanting to take calls and I forgot to put the little it's got a little thing that you you stick into the machine to uh to do Bluetooth calls, but uh yeah, this is pretty cool. But yeah, I want to do some more of this. Um uh I know I came up here earlier and you your mom had opened the door. I'm like, oh I said, Am I disturbing? Like she goes, No, we were having Bible study, but there was nobody there.
SPEAKER_00Oh yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02So I'm like, okay, so I didn't want to disturb you if you were getting ready to have it. But uh she says, No, I'm I'm gonna leave. I'm gonna leave. I said, Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_02And I know earlier when I was talking and I looked through the window here, and somebody was like peeking in, and I'm like, hey, uh-huh. I guess you know they're hanging out over here, but uh yeah, I want to um so so the one guy you talked about is Wendigoon. So WND Wendigoon, yeah.
SPEAKER_00What was the other one that you the fur the fur blurry creatures? Yeah, they're real good. Um, they're out of uh uh Franklin, Tennessee, south of Nashville. I don't know why that matters. Um, I just like to know where people are, and then um Wendigoon is somewhere in like uh I think East Tennessee, Knoxville area, but more rural, maybe. And I think he was actually like uh like a youth pastor, or maybe still is or something. I don't know. Um, you know, he's definitely a Christian guy, but I mean he digs into all this stuff, you know, it's it's like a passion of his. And um, I I really do like his, you know, his videos and his stuff.
SPEAKER_02Maybe I can have him on or something. I can I don't know, man.
SPEAKER_00He's pretty big.
SPEAKER_02You never know. You miss every shot you don't take. I mean, you know, you you never know until you try, like uh the first guy that I ever interviewed, his um uh what do you call it? His agent did not write him on the show because I never done a show. And I'm like, well, how am I gonna get other people on if if everybody says we can't you can't cut we can't have our star on until you do a show? So I messaged him directly and he says, Oh, really? He says, Give me the date and time, and I will be there. And he was there and we did the show. And then it was funny, he was talking about uh, so this was um I remember remember his name. Um Floyd Lloyd. Hold on, I gotta look it up. I gotta look up the T show, the accurate T show. Okay, so okay, so Sabrina Lloyd. Um oh my gosh, sliders, hold on, sliders TV show cast. Okay, that'll bring up sliders.
SPEAKER_00I remember that show. That was a while ago.
SPEAKER_02Oh, yeah. So I actually talked to Robert Floyd. Okay, so Robert Floyd played um cue ball in the lat like the later the I think season five. Like he I forgot how it happened, but he merged and he turned into this new Quinn. And so Robert Floyd, he is actually a mixologist, so he's a bartender. Yeah, um, he was on Bar Rescue, plus he is in charge of Pacific Princess or the the love boat. Um, he's like the main mixologist dude for the entire cruise. Okay, and uh so we started talking, and I didn't realize he is from Lakeland, uh-huh, and his mom and brother still live here, and he started talking about, yeah, I used to go to Santa Fe Catholic School. Well, I lived in Lakeland for two and a half years, but I'm like, okay, I was agreeing with him. And one day I was driving down close to uh um Arbondale area, and I went past the Santa Fe Catholic school, so there it is. So yeah, he's from Florida. Um, and so he's the one that I his uh agent was giving me hard time, but I did have him on, uh real nice guy. I tried talking to him here recently, but he's just so busy now. Um, it's it's really hard to get him. And and then another actor that I tried to get, um, I don't know. Well, you probably haven't seen it, but it's called the Terrifier. Um, that guy's done three movies and he is very hard to get a hold of now. Um nice guy, but he's just way up there now with uh this acting that he's untouchable right now. So right, but uh, but yeah, so you know, I'll have more people on like that. And you know, it's it's uh it's gonna be fun. And you know, we'll have some of your friends on, you know, we'll send the we'll do a show and and send them the link so they can join in. So there's a lot of possibilities. Um, you know, and then once we start doing this thing regularly, you know, there'll be people calling in because uh believe it or not, people love to call in, they love to talk. Um, you know, when I was doing it live in Lakeland, we had a lot of the regulars call in. Um, you know, we even had one regular send us uh food, and uh of course I yeah, it was uh mountain oysters. Yeah, it was the mountain oysters, you know what that is, right?
SPEAKER_00Uh-huh. Yeah, no thanks.
SPEAKER_02Not yeah. I you know, I actually ate it cooked. It was actually good. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00I just I just got uh I got problems with that. I'm not well, I won't say it, but anyway, yeah, I'm just not gonna eat another uh I don't care if it's not a human, I'm not gonna eat another dude's junk, you know. That's all I'm saying.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I I I tried it when it was uh not cooked, and that was not good. I have to find it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I thought I was gonna throw up, but anyway, but I'll do a lot of stun stuff, but stun food like that, no thanks.
SPEAKER_02Well, being being on the show, I was like the I was the goon, so I had to that was what I had to do. That was the only grossest thing I had to try. Um I I would actually try it again as long as it's cooked, I don't have a problem.
SPEAKER_00I need a lot of barbecue sauce or something.
SPEAKER_02What well he even made bull chips in it. Okay, it was really good, dude. I mean, yeah, um yeah, so you probably wouldn't try it, but I get it, I get it. So, all right, what time is it? 8 30. So I'm gonna go ahead and show up. Yes,
Microphones, Mounts, And Upside Code

SPEAKER_02Yeah, once I get uh, so I got the one boom mic, but you know, I got this, but I won't get uh for the table there.
SPEAKER_00I might have one or two mic booms. I'll look and see right like right after we hang up because I had this room set up, it's a mess now because I moved an old mattress into here to store it. But anyway, um I had this set up real nice. It was like uh just a real small studio, it's just a it's just an old shed, but I put like a drop ceiling in it and carpeted it and um put some of the uh foam tiles on that are half of them falling off now. And you know, yeah, as a man cave now, but I just kind of do like I got my little kind of a desktop mic that I do um anything I gotta record, like I do um a daily devotional that I put out for the church that we text out to everyone. And I know you know that, but um, I kind of do that recording in here, and um, you know, just that's about all I use it for now. But I did a podcast for a little while, and it was just one of those things where the time it took, you know, to uh book it, edit it, post it, you know, the recording time, all that stuff, I just kind of got away from it. And I think I had jumped in, man, a few years ago now, but I had just I'd really stayed away from the podcast scene for a long time, and then all of a sudden I started like watching all these guests on Joe Rogan, you know, and that was kind of my first taste of listening to any podcast really a few years back. And I was like, I want to do that, you know, I want to just sit there and talk to people and find out their stories, you know, and learn from them. And that was really my whole goal, but I hadn't I hadn't paid attention to a lot of them. So I'm just like, I'm gonna sit down for two and a half hours and talk to people. And they're like, We really talking this long. I'm like, I don't know, that's how Joe does it. You know, and I really didn't know what I was doing. Um I didn't get much, you know, I didn't put enough work into it to get viewers and all that stuff.
SPEAKER_02Well, it's like um, and let me show you. Well, let me get the microphone so I have uh I have two of these. Um, but yeah, about talking. Um, before I show you the microphone, I had reached out to uh Danny John Jules, and if whoever nobody probably knows him, but he played cat on Red Dwarf, which is a sci-fi TV show back in the early um mid 80s, 90s. Anyway, um I kept messaging messaging him on Twitter, X, whatever you want to call it, and it was at the point that um he was either gonna block me or say yes. He said yes, and I had him on for an hour and a half, and dude, it was like the best, um, really nice guy down to earth.
SPEAKER_00Um, and he had like that's how a lot of us guys are actually able to get married is uh not with a guy but with a girl. Like we just keep bugging her until she either blocks us or says yes, you know, like oh that one worked, okay.
SPEAKER_02So I've got two, these are brand new, these are SM58s. Oh, yeah, okay. I have two of these. These are literally I got two brand new, so we'll use these. So plus I got all right, two like this and use this. So um I just got to get some more mic cords because I don't have the cords for those. But literally, I bought these a couple of years ago and just never used them. Um, because I'm I was the type of person when I was at Boss Hog Radio, um, the microphones were so dirty. Oh, yeah. You want to bring your own. Yeah, so so like when we have guests in the studio, I didn't realize they have um booties for the microphone that you can put on so that way they're salava. Because I I had one guy on the radio, he kept putting his nose into the microphone. And this is mine, so nobody, you know, it seems like this is a booty.
SPEAKER_00I feel like yours is picking you up pretty good from where you're at, you know. Yes, like from your distance, you don't have to be right up on it.
SPEAKER_02No, this one's pretty good. Um, it's a pod mic, it's a roadcaster pod mic, it's pretty good. Yeah, yeah. Um, I got two of these. Um, so I'll let you use the other one. Um, and like I said, this comes off, so sure.
SPEAKER_00This is gonna wash it or whatever.
SPEAKER_02But uh yeah, it's a pretty good microphone. But yeah, so if you have extra arms, it doesn't have to be the boom like this, even if it's like this, that just sits here.
SPEAKER_00I think I've got one. I'm gonna look right here. I've got one. Wait, maybe that's two. Okay, it's got a microphone on it, even uh, probably real cheap one. But I've got one there with this nice pretty blue cord. Does it have a clamp?
SPEAKER_02That looks like it sticks into a hole.
SPEAKER_00Uh no, but it'll thread on just like um the mic clamps, like with yours, and then that's the XLR cable. No, but I mean the bottom just spin off. Oh, yeah, it needs a clamp or or drill a hole, but I don't want to drill a hole in that table necessarily. No, um, but we'll figure a clamp out, we'll figure a mount out for that. I might have one down here. Let's see. I've got oh, okay. This is what this is the good one. This this one's got a clamp.
SPEAKER_02Okay, that'll be perfect.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. But I think I've only got the one. Looks like I bought this at the pawn shop. Hey, as long as it works, it don't matter. Oh no, okay, I remember this. I got this at a McKay's bookstore. Okay, if anybody's up around um Nashville, Tennessee, I think they got one in Knoxville, maybe like one towards Memphis. There's a place called McKay's Used Books, and they got other stuff. You can actually take books in there and they'll take they'll give you trade-in credit or store credit or they'll give you cash, and you can buy other books, but sometimes they have electronics and stuff too. And I got this when I was there. Oh, okay. Nice. Yeah, that was really sweet. That was a really nice one. Yeah, so we definitely can use that. Uh absolutely. I wish I had two, but I guess I've only got one of these.
SPEAKER_02I mean, if they're cheap enough now, I mean, on Amazon, I mean, uh, if I get the road one, it's like 110, but I don't need one that expensive. I can pick them up for like 35, 40 bucks on Amazon, you know. So I a couple of those.
SPEAKER_00I already got the mics. Um, I'll bring these over to you. Um, I'll bring them over to the studio. Yeah, that's fine. And we'll go from there.
SPEAKER_02I I have walked out because I had to get my uh uh I had another extension cord, and then I'm trying to get back in and I'm like, oh my god, I forgot the number. I had to do it like five times before it got in. And so my phone because I was gonna look it up because you had texted me the number, and I'm like, oh man, I left my phone.
SPEAKER_00Left your phone in there.
SPEAKER_02I'm like, but I figured it out.
SPEAKER_00That's how that was going. That's good. Yeah, I've I've typed that code in a million times and I've gotten it wrong too. So I mean, I know how that goes. Yeah, but so just just as soon as you get used to it, we're gonna change it. Uh okay. Just in case somebody had access that doesn't need it, we'll get it changed soon. And then you'll have to learn it all over again.
