Really fortunate to have had the opportunity to chat to British Judo Performance Director Nigel Donohue - such a good long discussion that it’s in two parts (part 2 with be in Episode 5).
The first part of the interview is about how Nigel got into the sport, whilst also competing at a high level in wrestling, his experiences in the North West area, breaking into the Great Britain team and his very successful competitive career.
Nigel recounts some of his contests against some truly world class opposition, being the first British male to win the Paris Tournament and recalls the challenges of making it to his first Olympic Games in Barcelona in 1992.
