What if you could look back on your journey and see the transformation in vivid detail? Join us for the 200th episode of The Brad Weisman Show, where we reminisce with our very first guest, Justin Perella. We laugh about the humble beginnings, complete with a "Frozen" princess headset, and discuss how the show has evolved beyond recognition. From the impact of COVID-19 to the thrilling future of real estate, this episode is a nostalgic yet forward-looking celebration.
Lively exchanges with past guests add flavor to our milestone episode. Craig Stonaha brings a celebratory drink and shares his podcasting wisdom, influenced by none other than marketing guru Gary V. Michele McCartney lights up the conversation with insights from her stellar 37-year career in business, emphasizing client relationships and personal growth. We also catch up with Jess and Toni from Inspired Wellness, who are expanding their services and tackling school-related anxieties with grace and dedication.
Heartwarming moments punctuate the celebration as we welcome my parents, Doug and Dorene Weisman, for the first time on the show, reflecting on my early interests in entertainment. The episode also features engaging discussions with the publisher of Berks County Living Magazine, Robyn Jones and mortgage lender Mike Bower, who sheds light on current mortgage rates. To wrap it all up, my wife, Jessica and our two children, Catherine and Carson join me with some questions for me and final though for 200th episode. Heartfelt appreciations are extended to our loyal guests, unwavering team, and my supportive family, making this episode a beautiful tribute to everyone who has been part of our journey. THANK YOU - Here's to 200 more episodes!!
"Looking back on 200 episodes is crazy... it all started with an idea during Covid and turned into a venue for my guests to tell their stories and for me to learn. The evolution from being just about real estate to being whatever topic peaks my curiosity has been so amazing. Thanks to all that listen to the show, whether it's one episode or every single one fof them (my mom). It means so much to me that you listen to what I love to do." - Brad Weisman

From real estate to real life and everything in between. The Brad Wiseman Show and now your host, brad Wiseman.
Speaker 2All right, here we are. Here we are, the 200th episode. What an amazing celebration. I am so excited for tonight. I can't believe that I've been doing this for 200 episodes. I want to thank everybody for supporting the the show. For the sponsors, we have comfort pro as a sponsor. Here we have first response contracting and the first guest on the 200th episode is going to be the guest that was on here first. Yippee, justin perrella. How you doing man I'm good man, congratulations.
Speaker 1So you do know you were the ultimate guinea pig, yeah, well and actually um, the first time we came on, I think together it was just radio, right it? Was just on, yeah, just audio just audio and, uh, people couldn't see really what we were doing. But I'll never forget the the first time I came in, because I actually brought a little prop here because, oh, this is what I was wearing, ladies and gentlemen, something this is so true.
Speaker 2It was a princess headphone. It was it was daughters from frozen that's right, it was from frozen and um, what's really funny about that? I didn't have a second uh headphone set. So I went into my daughter's room and found this headset and I was like you know, this will work. This will work Until it went on TV. Hey, maybe I'll bring those back. You don't know, there you go, man, I might bring them back I can't give them to either of my neighbors.
Speaker 2Well, it's funny, I still have those somewhere around here. I they're in the studio. I should have brought them out for you to wear. Maybe I'll get somebody else to wear those tonight. So you know, it's funny. I think about this. Which is pretty interesting is that you got a call from me. This is during COVID, by the way, the first show was April 13th 2020. That was the very first show and I called you and I'm like Justin, you know, I just bought this podcast stuff. Would you be willing to be the first, first, uh guest?
Speaker 1and he's like yeah, no problem, anyway it's funny what the hell else you gonna do. It was covid, nothing like really I was happy.
Speaker 2Yeah, you're like, let me do something. You know, so that was just audio, it was on the phone, oh, that's right. And then when I actually was able to do face to face, that was where the whole thing for podcasting changed for me. It's so much different with this right here. Oh my gosh, so much different. And, uh, and I just want to say, you know, thanks for for taking a chance on on this, uh, on this show, and, and you also, you, you also are a lender. You were on here as a lender, uh, you're a guest many times.
Speaker 1Yeah, we, um, we had, we had it going for about. You know, it was every week, um, that I would come on. Uh, not much was changing. Then, you know, and I feel like we're we're coming out of that rut, you know, and we're starting to pick up some momentum. So it's been good. But, yeah, I was so happy to do it. We had been friends for a long time but when you called, I was, I was looking for something that was cool like that and you, you provided it. It was it. It was wonderful. I'm so happy for you, man. I can't believe it's 200 episodes right, it is insane.
Speaker 1I knew you would do it like I knew you would catch that momentum. But to this level is just.
Speaker 2That's impressive, man thank you, I appreciate. So you know, I asked everybody to have a question for me because I'm in the hot seat tonight a little bit on this whole thing. So do you have a question for me at all?
Speaker 1well, my question is what's? I can't wait to hear this, so no no, it's gonna be pretty, pretty level, like where do you see real estate in you?
Speaker 2or the brad weisman show that's right, you were on the brad weisman or the real estate news show first.
Speaker 1That's real estate. Yeah, yeah, absolutely. Where's brad going? Where's you know?
Speaker 2it's funny. Somebody just asked that. They've asked that a couple times. It's as far as I can go. You know, wayne Dyer said one time if you ask a tree, how tall will it grow, and the tree will say if the tree could talk. Of course, the tree will say as high as I can. There's no distance, there's no level there, there's no plateau. It's to go as far as you can.
Speaker 2I really enjoy doing this. It's something that brings out the entertainment side of me that I've always had near Uh and it. I just love it. I love talking to people. I also said the other day what's interesting too is they said well, how do you know who you want to talk to? And I said you know what it's like going into a bar, like I wish I could go into a bar, which I can, uh, but I wish I could go into a bar or a public place and I could see a little blip above their heads that says I'm a bricklayer, I'm a, I work for NASA. I work because I'm the kind of person that goes. You know what?
Speaker 7I want to talk to that person?
Speaker 6I want to know everybody.
Speaker 2I want to know everybody and what they do, and that's why I changed it to the Brad Wiseman show.
Speaker 1And that's what I love about it, that you evolved into that, because there are some and listen. Everything comes down to real estate. I mean of course you know there's, there's commonality in all of that. But yeah, you're, you're interested in them and you want to know more about what they do and what makes them tick and what makes them successful, which is what helps everybody else.
Speaker 2Absolutely. Well, you know what. We're going to kick you out. No, yeah, we got a bunch of guests tonight. Just so you know, we have a ton of guests. The next guest coming up is eric weeknecht. He's now our sheriff. You're gonna have to let him sit there, all right, yeah so you'll have to get up at some point you know, I don't think justin wants to leave.
Speaker 2I can see how this. By the way, we got a great shot of somebody's butt right now, um, but no, there is a camera that's on the staging area for the show and right now now it is live on that staging area. I see that Kevin Timoshenko finally showed up, which is good. Okay, eric Weeknecht, how you doing, buddy, I'm doing really good how you doing. I'm doing great man, I'm doing really well.
Speaker 6That's awesome.
Speaker 2So thanks for coming. Yeah, thanks, man. 200 episodes, that's amazing. You were on one or two at least one.
Speaker 6I was on one the beginning of the year. Yeah, and I was on one of your older shows way back when you were in a different building. Yes, you didn't have much of a view Yep Looked out at some grass bank or something.
Speaker 2Yeah, yeah, yeah, absolutely. Oh, that was a long time ago, long time ago. Wow, that was on the show called how up. Yeah, you're exactly right. You, I forgot you're on there.
Speaker 6So you're the sheriff of of the county. I am, but not for long.
Speaker 2Hopefully, not for long, hopefully, not for long. No, now that doesn't sound right. You don't know what are you doing right now. Tell us what you're doing. Get a little closer to the microphone, so I'm actually in the uh state rep race.
Speaker 6Okay, the fifth legislative district of pennsylvania awesome, and I'm up on the election November 5th. Awesome, really looking forward to it yeah Big district. It goes from Bethel all the way over to Wummelsdorf, all the Heidelbergs, honolani, byrne Township, wow.
Speaker 2It is a big district, it is huge, but not as big as the County of Berks. No, not as big as that, that's right. So you actually you cover more area right now.
Speaker 6I cover more area right now and it's going to cut down a little bit, but the downside is you have to run every two years yeah, so that you're gonna have to run every two years as sheriff.
Speaker 2You're every four, every four. Okay, yeah, that's a lot, that's a lot, that's a lot of running, because as soon as you win, uh you're, you're back in again trying to win.
Speaker 6Basically, yeah, so you're campaigning, you're working your campaign. I'm really looking forward to it. I really love the election process. Yeah, you get out, you get to meet people yep, you, you know, ask for their vote. You get hear what their concerns are. Yeah, and I, I actually love it.
Speaker 9People become a little weird because of that yeah well you are.
Speaker 2You are definitely a little weird because of that, because most people are like get me the hell out of politics. You know, especially right now, with as tensions as it is, you know, nobody wants to talk about politics, but you're here actually too, because you're a good friend and that's that's the reason, um, that you're here and also a client. I sold you a house or two or something like that couple houses.
Speaker 2I think we you, you sold one for us yeah, and then we bought yeah, absolutely really cool, very cool but I hate to tell you this.
Speaker 6My wife said we are never moving again. Ah, damn it. That's not the words of a realtor once again.
Speaker 2You know my kids have to go to college. I know, and the realtors don't want to hear that. I know what the hell I'm trying. Oh my gosh.
Speaker 6She's very happy with the last house that you sold us.
Speaker 2Oh, that's a nice house.
Speaker 6I have a question for you. Are you upset that your son is more tech savvy than you are because he got the TVs working in there? You're kidding me? No, it's all on Everyone's watching, and and oh, that's hilarious.
Speaker 2Carson did that Absolutely Wow. Well, we're going to have him on later so he can explain to us how we did that.
Speaker 6Well, you won't understand. He told me I didn't understand. You know what's really?
Speaker 2funny, craig Stonehall is coming on next. So, and what's really funny, craig Stonehall is coming on next. Oh, okay, so the IT guy must have been training my son.
Speaker 6Maybe or maybe your son can give him some lessons.
Speaker 2That could be good. That could be good. I don't know, we'll see. We'll see. Well, craig should be coming in here soon, so thank you so much for being here.
Speaker 6I really appreciate it, yeah, and.
Speaker 2I wish you the best in winning your representative seat there. I know you're going to win, so it's all good.
Speaker 6Yep, I think we're going to do very well and I will be back to give you an update.
Speaker 2That sounds great, man. I would love to have you back. All right, all right, cool. So we got to get Craig Stonehall in here. He should be on his way. Two guys with the same haircut, or lack thereof. What's up, craig? Craig comes in with wine in his hand. Look at this. That's the way to do it. That's the way to do it.
Speaker 11You got to start somewhere if you want to be a true drunk.
Speaker 2That's right. That's so true. That's true. We do not promote that, but I'm going to have a drink, also, my man.
Speaker 11So congratulations on 200, buddy.
Speaker 2That's insane. Thanks right it's.
Speaker 11There was a uh. You ever heard of gary v gary v, of course yeah, reach out to him. He does this thing. If you're making your 100th episode, oh wow, he'll always be on it. Oh, and he said, and if he missed you, reach out to him. I know exactly who gary v is.
Speaker 2He's very good, he's very good. Yeah, I love him. She's like the marketing genius, isn't he really? Yeah, amazing, he's better than me. Yeah, well, that's. That's saying something right there. Holy mackerel, that's unbelievable. Hugo's laughing. Um, you know, do we only have your mic on? I don't think you go there, we go. Hey, by the way, hugo is in in the studio, of course, like he always is, and I got to say I could not do any of this without him. He's an amazing guy and, uh, we really appreciate him every Thursday at 7. He puts on our show, guy, and we really appreciate him. Every Thursday at 7 pm, he puts on our show here, and we really appreciate that. So, craig, tell me about what's going on in your life. I don't know.
Speaker 11We've known each other for a while. 25 years, 25 years it's been a long time. You had your own podcast. I did. I finally shut it down.
Speaker 2Isn't it funny how many episodes we did 80, you know. That's 87 way, way over the norm. I was told by um justin shank, who has done a gazillion uh podcasts. He was invited to come. He couldn't make it tonight, um, but he said to me that if you go over seven, you're actually. If you go over seven podcasts, you're actually doing really well. He said. If you get over a hundred, then then you're pretty much in the realm that you should be able to keep getting more and more listeners. Well, that's why actually doing really well, he said. If you get over a hundred, then then you're pretty much in the realm that you should be able to keep getting more and more listeners.
Speaker 11Well, and that's why Gary Vee said a hundred, because he said it's a hundred. That's the spot. That's the spot and you're going to make it Yep, absolutely, absolutely. No, I got to the point where I was like I don't know why I'm still doing this.
Speaker 2You sit there and go. Well, why not? You know, for me it was a, why not Plus? You know, hugo, begged me to keep doing it, you know? Is that true, hugo? No, that's right he wishes I would quit tomorrow. Actually he's like yeah, 200th episode, we're done. Yeah, Okay.
Speaker 11We're done. No.
Speaker 2You just start with that, which is a good thing to do, a little bit more dangerous than podcasting.
Speaker 11There's only so much time in the day.
Speaker 2That's right so true. Well, thanks for coming out. Do you have anything you wanted to ask me?
Speaker 11Yeah, when are you going to bring back the flock of seagull? Haircut the flock of seagull.
Speaker 2I want to see. No, when I'll tell you. When you mean, like the one on the wall, that was not quite flock of seagulls, but I, there was a flock of seagulls haircut at one point. Oh, it'd be glorious, yeah, it would be. You know, the problem is I'd have to do hair plug for men do it? Yeah, that's, that's what I'm gonna have to do. So what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna get hair from hugo's head and I'm gonna plug it in my head. How's that all right? We're gonna have to say, uh, say goodbye, I love you. Yeah, I love you too. Buddy, thanks for being here on the show. I really appreciate it. Will you come back for the next 100 after 100 more?
Speaker 11300, 400, 500. All right, good.
Speaker 2Sounds good. We're counting you in, all right, awesome. So now we have two people coming in, so we're going to have to move some mics around and, as you can see, we still have people in the waiting room. We got people drinking some drinks and looking that they're having some fun, which is always good to see. And there's susan, so you can use. Uh, mark, if you want to pull that chair over here, watch the cords you can use. You can use this microphone here, mark, see when we're live, you don't you see all the stuff here that goes on? This is not. Yeah, this is not we don't have the girly.
Speaker 2No, I can get those out, I'm gonna get those out. That's what katherine's gonna wear headphones.
Speaker 12remember you used to always want to wear them, used to beg for it, for it, oh my goodness.
Speaker 2All right, get a little closer to Mark on the microphone so I can hear you All right sorry. So let's just get out there right away. What I wanted to say to you guys, I want to say thank you for allowing me to do what I did in here without now is in there, and it's funny. And now there's wood on the walls, and now there's, you know, all these different things that are here too. So I appreciate the uh allowing me to do this, because otherwise, well, you know what.
Speaker 6You're welcome. I don't know if we approve that shirt. However, that shirt is something that we probably should have got approval on.
Speaker 2You probably should. You almost wore the same shirt I did. By the way, you're mark jackness, I'm oh yeah, susan mcfadden, mark jackness, thank you, thank you.
Speaker 12I just figure everybody knows you because you're so famous you know what's crazy like what's crazy. He said he's not going to make it three shows, like the fact that you've made it 200 he was like susan don't let him do the podcast room. It's never gonna happen and you've made it 200 shows.
Speaker 5We're so proud of you. Thank you, we are so proud of you. Question.
Speaker 2Can't wait to hear this question. Yeah, you can ask a question actually, yeah.
Speaker 12Yes, I mean a lot of the questions I wanted to ask. People are telling me no.
Speaker 2It's probably off color, maybe a little off color, a little awkward.
Speaker 12Well, who's your favorite partner out of the two of us?
Speaker 2I'll tell you guys later? No, no, it depends on what the hell's going on oh my goodness, mark mom, mom's, mom's right here, I can't say anything let's get an answer out of it like he can't even.
Speaker 12He's so afraid he can't even answer now.
Speaker 2I don't have favorites, I just don't rather arm wrestle right now.
Speaker 12If you're going to arm wrestle one of us, who do you think you'd have a better chance beating?
Speaker 2uh, you let's go okay, let's, let's do it, let's go.
Speaker 2Yeah, this is going to be bad. No, I'm not doing it now. He's afraid On live TV wrestling. Oh my God, this shirt isn't that good. What's she doing? What's that? Something's hidden, something's, oh God. Oh, we got to do a little. Oh, I can't believe that was hidden back there. That's unbelievable. Oh, I can only imagine any point. And look at all this, that's all this money. Wow, this is great. We don't get any money for this. Wow, hey, Hugo, note to self the next party, the partners, will be away. Yeah, brad, congratulations.
Speaker 4Cheers, Cheers man.
Speaker 2Thank you Um, I'm very thank you so much.
Speaker 12Thank you for helping out. Good at what you do and you're very gifted and you can tell you love it and you help a lot of people and we're very proud of you and we love you guys too.
Speaker 2Best partners in the world. Best partners in the world. All right, now get the hell out of here All right, your time's up now.
Speaker 2It's uh, jess and tony, jess and tony, just in time to pick up all the money. Look at all this money in here, hugo. What are we going to do with all this money? It looks like it went. It was in the dryer, though. I think it was in the dryer for a little bit. What do you think? So, uh, yeah, there's still a lot of people staged out there. We got a lot more people coming. What's that? That? What's not true? Huh, oh, okay, am I wrong? Am I wrong? Oh, I'm sorry. John Sellers is on next. What was I looking at? This is why I have people helping me out, john. How you doing, buddy, you know, I knew I'd screw up something this time. You know, when we're live, it's a little different. It's a little different than when we're recording.
Speaker 10You know how you doing, how you doing? This is my first time.
Speaker 2Your first time, but you know what. You're a great guy and you know what he did for me in here. I mean, he does great work, he's a contractor, he's a sponsor for a full year. You'll have to get a little closer to that microphone too. It's almost a full year. You said that you actually have gotten business from it, which is amazing. I think that's the best thing that I've heard. And you also did the wood here in the studio. I did so. I sold John and his wife a house, shannon, and he got into construction and just doing a great job. So tell me how's it going? It's going great.
Speaker 2Definitely very busy, right now, yeah, what kind of stuff do you do?
Speaker 10Anything from bathrooms to full, full house remodels, uh, decks, you name it.
Speaker 2Yeah, you do a lot, I do yeah and and what's, uh, what's I wanted to let you know. Uh, jess and I picked out a vanity for the kids bathroom, so finally, yes, exactly so we'll put that out there. So now jess is going to want it done tomorrow. Just so you know that's the way she works if you have set up, it has to be done the next day. So there you go. So, if you would like you, maybe you should leave now and just go start working on it. Do you need me to pick it up?
Speaker 2Uh, yes, that's probably going to need to be a yeah, so we're going to work out the whole contract right now. I know we already already have that done. We know that part, so tell me. Um, do you have a question for me?
Speaker 10so my question was actually gonna be when were you actually gonna finish your bathroom?
Speaker 2that's funny, that's funny, that's right. Well, like I said, tomorrow, no, we picked out the vanity. We have everything kind of lined up what we're gonna do, and you'll be doing that in october, so that, as long as we can fit in your schedule in october- yeah, I'll, uh, I'll figure it out. Tell everybody what your company name is, how they, how they can get in touch with you.
Speaker 10Uh, you can give me a call at 4, 8, 4, 2, 5, 6, 7, 1, 3, 6. My business is first response contracting. Uh, give me a call.
Speaker 2Awesome, that's great. I'll find someone that can that's awesome man.
Speaker 2You just great work. Look at the wood in here he did. He did a great job. It was awesome. I appreciate it. Yeah, I appreciate you. Thanks so much, man. All right, we're going to get now I think. Oh, I know who it is now. It's Michelle McCartney, thanks, yeah, thank you, thanks so much. Hang around staging area there, which is cool. Uh, I feel like this is a telethon. It reminds me like a telethon, if you call 1-800, you can contribute money. Uh, so, michelle mccartney, you are in the hot seat. How you doing? I'm in the hot seat tonight. That's right. And did you notice all the money that I have now? Now you're gonna go, you're gonna want to be your own podcast. Now you see all this money hanging out, right, that's, how are you doing? You got to get right up on that microphone there.
Speaker 9How about that?
Speaker 2So I've known Michelle for a very, very, very, very long time 30 years, something like that, probably. At least, at least it's been a long time, yeah, so I actually sang at her wedding a long time ago. We've been working together many times throughout the years and just a good friend. We did a sailing trip with a bunch of friends together in the British Virgin Islands, which was fun. A lot of history here, a lot of history.
Speaker 2But what I want to talk to you about is you've been doing business for a long time and I just want to quickly say that you do such a great job. You are on top of your game always in this business for the past 37 years in business, and that's hard to do. And I want to also say that now you're doing this thing which I had you on and I want to have you come back. It's called Beyond the Script and we did a show for that, which everybody should find it. It's a really good show. Are you going to be doing more of that, like more of the, the of the coming up with, like like classes and coaching? I have them.
Speaker 9I have the curriculums and stuff like that? I guess I don't. I haven't really tried to figure out how to market it yeah and to put myself in a position where that becomes more forefront yeah, yeah, got it, got it you know I just I haven't, I haven't done it. Yeah, I have the curriculums written and done, but trying to figure out how to do it, how to really do it, do it right.
Speaker 2So what's the secret to being in the business that long?
Speaker 9Oh my goodness, what's the?
Speaker 2secret Like what is it that? What? What makes it happen? Relationships?
Speaker 9Well, putting my clients first.
Speaker 2Okay, good.
Speaker 9Deciding to be the best real try could be every day. Awesome. Whatever came of that day as far as productivity came, but it was all about answering all the calls and just doing the best I could and and forgetting about the money.
Speaker 2Yeah, so you mean like this stuff here, forgetting about the money which a lot of times in sales, a lot of times in sales.
Speaker 9It's tough to do. It's amazing, right? It was very hard for me to do at the beginning. I almost stopped selling real estate. Now I can't imagine what else I would have done.
Speaker 2Wow, so so you have a question for me.
Speaker 9Well, I was wondering oh boy, here we go Well. A couple of things, yeah.
Speaker 2Oh boy, she's got several questions.
Speaker 9Do you remember your very first podcast, who it was and what the topic was and why you chose it?
Speaker 2First podcast. Well, justin was the first, and the reason I picked Justin is because he was the only one that would do it. Seriously, I was going to ask a lot of different people, but he was the only one that would do it.
Speaker 9Okay, yeah, and my other question is is there a person or a topic that you've wanted to cover on your podcast that you haven't been able to yet because you haven't been able to find the person? That is is related to the topic you'd like to know about, or you know what I'm talking. Yeah, yeah, I gotcha.
Speaker 2I think I would love to find somebody that was, that was either a in the space program like NASA or somebody like that, that I could pick their brain on the show and learn about what what it's like for space travel, or maybe they were even just in, never got to do it, but actually went through the training. That kind of thing would be very interesting to me. Um and so if there's anybody that's into that or has somebody who was in NASA or somebody that was on any kind of a spacecraft, that would be awesome.
Speaker 9Who's the oldest person you've ever had on the podcast 101 years old. And what was your?
Speaker 2topic World War II, really World War II. I've had two World War II um people in here, two of them and uh, one was 101 and the other one was like 97 or 98. That was incredible. Hearing those stories and getting those stories was amazing.
Speaker 9Firsthand.
Speaker 2It was incredible, wow, and they were very, very with it. Those are also podcasts you should listen to. They're really good.
Speaker 9Have you interviewed children, any children, and why?
Speaker 2Our kids have been on, but I haven't done any of the other kids except for them. Actually, I shouldn't say that Owen Est, except for them. Actually I shouldn't say that. Owen estallis, owen estallis, who's an actor, he was in, uh, hillbilly elegy, which is the movie that's about vance. Uh, he was here. He played van young vance. He's been in the studio twice, so he was in as a very young kid and then he was in right after he did hillbilly. He was yeah, yeah. Now he moved south. So I I wanted to try and get him on here, but didn't. He wasn't in the area.
Speaker 9so yeah, all right okay next.
Speaker 2Yeah, thank you. Thank you so much for being here. Hopefully we can have a drink together after the show. Yeah, all right, so we have. Now. It's jess and tony. Yeah, so there you go, we're gonna give you both. Have a microphone. There's a chair back there, tony, that you can grab. I love seeing the people coming in and out of the uh of the the the room there. That's kind of fun, kind of fun. So how are you doing? We are good. Are you guys ripped up yet or anything? No, you're good. No, we're good. You're good. Okay, you're responsible, okay. We had our magic mind. This morning.
Speaker 2Oh good, Good, Good. Segue to the magic mind. We'll bring this up a little later, but it is really good. Did you guys notice that it doesn't? It's not as chunky. You see how that's chunky in the bottom. This is cause this is an older, older batch. It's not as chunky anymore. They actually the matcha, which is a mushroom was was not able to be, uh, ground up, fine enough. They hired a scientist I'm not kidding you, I got an email about this. They hired a scientist that figured out how to emulsify it better. So now you don't get into that residue in the bottom you got an email about this yeah, I'm connected with magic mind.
Speaker 2I'm very connected.
Speaker 8Yeah, that is how we start our day what's that get to the? Office.
Speaker 2We cheers our cheers the magic mind. That's good. That's good. That's how we start, yeah. Yeah, are you guys looking for something? There's like people looking for something. You're good, what's that? We need to be close oh, get, get closer to the microphones. There you go, there you go. Okay, so we're going to keep moving here. So, tony and Jess, you were on the show not too long ago and you were here because your company inspired wellness, which they weren't supposed to wear logos. I told them not to, but they didn't know. I'm kidding. I didn't get that.
Speaker 2So you are. You guys are doing great work. You're working with a lot of kids around the County. You guys are doing great work. You're working with a lot of kids around the county. How's it going with the school you're just starting.
Speaker 8It's going really well. Actually, we were able to acquire two new school districts this year in addition to the ones that we serviced last year. Awesome, it's really good. We have a lot of good stuff coming up. We have a lot of ideas for future services as well. We've seen a pickup, obviously obviously since school started, with anxiety and getting back into routines. So it's really nice to be able to be in the schools and helping these students and parents and teachers and everybody adjust.
Speaker 2And what do you guys specialize in, like what's your specialty, that you would say, like you know, I know you cover a lot of different things, but what's your specialty? That's a great question.
Speaker 8There's a lot of us Um there's nine clinicians and two interns now which is different from when we were here.
Speaker 2Yeah, Um we can't get nine people in here, just so you know cause last time they put remember they pushed the limit. You go. They're like ah, well, you know you can only have two. Like you can only have two other people. No, we want three, we can only have two people. You can know we want three. I'm like I guess we're gonna have three. You made it happen. Yeah, we did yes.
Speaker 8So what would 11 look like? And then we have a 12, starting in January.
Speaker 2Hugo, how would we do this? I don't even know how we would do it, I don't know. That's funny, so, um, so you special. So there's a lot of things, but you're covering a lot of schools.
Speaker 8We are, yeah, awesome. Since we've been in here last, we have, as you know, opened an office in Axton.
Speaker 2Thank you, you and Pete Heim were very instrumental in making that happen, more so Pete than me, but that's all right, hey it takes a village, it does take a village, and so we appreciate us grow in that area as well. Cool, um, so, yeah, so that's that's. The goal is to continue to grow here and we'll have to have you come back in and do a show again. Absolutely, yeah, just the two of you.
Speaker 8Well, we were honored. I remember you know, brad, we have been friends for a very long time and always hearing about the podcast and that trip to the beach in December when you were like, hey, you should be on it.
Speaker 2I was like finally.
Speaker 3Yeah. That's funny, that's funny.
Speaker 8But we are so honored to be on the podcast. We really had a great time with it, Um and we hope to do a lot in the future.
Speaker 2Yeah, I hope so too. We're so proud of you. Do you have a question for?
Speaker 8me. We do, we do oh boy.
Speaker 2Is it a combined question or is? It, we have a couple, couple. I don't know if we have that kind of time. Let's see where we are time-wise. I think we're good, all right, oh yeah, well, well, yeah okay, questions.
Speaker 15We'll start with question one. If somebody came to you with a box of all the things that you lost, what's the first thing you'd be looking for?
Speaker 2oh man, um, first thing I'd be looking for is what's that my mind? Hugo, that was funny. He said my mind, that's really good. Um, I'm going to say um, a box of. What am I looking for? Is this like a psychological thing?
Speaker 8Are you guys reading me? It's always deep.
Speaker 2It's probably. Um, actually I wish I had a box that had in it what I'm going to learn in the future. So I open it up and I go oh man, if I do, if I do this, this and this, I, I'll, I'll be, it'll be an easier life. It's a good spin, right?
Speaker 8Not bad, so actually your response kind of piggybacks off the second question. So if we have time for one, more question.
Speaker 2Holy shit, I need another bottle of wine or something. Go ahead.
Speaker 8So if you were to tell your younger self any piece of advice, but only in three words, what would it be?
Speaker 2In three words. How about just do it? How about just do it? That's two words, but just do it. How about just do it? How about just do it? That's two words, but just just do it, right? Yeah, don't be afraid, live outside that box. Actually, live outside that box and just do it, and don't don't let anything hold you back, because this is not a rehearsal. We all know that this is it. That's a lot more than three words. Okay, well, your time's up Okay.
Speaker 15On that note get the heck out of here, of here, all right now we're moving on.
Speaker 2So, um, robin jones, I believe, is next right, so robin, I guess, is out there, ready to come in, robin. Hey girls, thanks so much for being here. Appreciate it. Thank you so much. All right, look at it. Look, the holding room is getting less and less people. It's getting emptier and emptier, so that means I won't have anybody to to have fun with afterwards. You're going to sit right there and you know you got to get up on that microphone because you have done podcasts before.
Speaker 5We had such a good time.
Speaker 2Yeah, robin Jones, from Berks County living here, she um, I met you a long time ago a long time ago. And um. What ended up happening is we ended up doing a podcast together and it was so fun my gosh, was that fun I?
Speaker 5wonder how many episodes we did. I'm not sure it was a lot.
Speaker 2Yeah, you know what's funny? I think it was.
Speaker 5It was probably close to 200 had to be well I could look back it was every week you'd have to pull your redding eagle that's so true, so true.
Speaker 2So it was every week on a thursday. Yep, and what would? Would we do? What time of the morning was that? Maybe 9 am 9 am every week and that was so fun. We would do like current events. Hugo, do you remember? Did you ever see the show? No, you never saw it, tony Reese, tony Reese. Yes, tony Reese, gami Nieves, robin Jones, and we had a blast. There was the four of us. We did it at the Double Tree and it was just a great time we did it.
Speaker 5We started at the Crown Plaza. Oh my gosh, we did start at the Crown Plaza first, and then at her office and then at the Double Tree. It was wonderful, absolutely.
Speaker 2Yeah, it was a lot of fun. So you're the publisher of the Berks County Living Magazine yes, years, wow, it's incredible. Right, it is. Yeah, that's amazing, and the magazine is always, always looks great. I always look forward to actually the cover.
Speaker 5Oh, me too.
Speaker 2Is there something about that with the cover? Like you just well, you said, I remember in the, in the podcast you did, you said opening up that box and probably there's like a smell of the magazines too.
Speaker 5That smells good you open that box up.
Speaker 2Oh, that's great.
Speaker 5The public hasn't received it. No, no, no.
Speaker 2But you see it and then that's, and then you look through it and yeah, so that's really cool. So that's, that's something you look forward to.
Speaker 5I love it yeah.
Speaker 2That's awesome, awesome. So is there? You're not going to tell us what's on the cover then? I guess obviously no, you can't.
Speaker 5A couple of days for the october yeah, our october issue every year is our senior living issue to tie into the burke's encore senior so does that mean I'm on the cover? No, I feel so I might be oh well, I don't know we're.
Speaker 2I think we're real close, real close. What?
Speaker 5question you have for brad yeah all right. So my question is so you've ever you've interviewed so many local celebrities? Yeah, but if you would, if you could interview a real life celebrity, who? Who would that be?
Speaker 2Ed Milet. He's got the number one podcast in the world right now and he's an amazing guy. He's like the new Wayne Dyer. He's incredible. If you're not listening to Ed Milet, I would suggest listening to him, because he's really really good, very positive, has great guests, there's nothing political, just good stuff, really good stuff. So that's who I would love to have to interview at some point or be on his show oh yeah, it's a dream, yeah, absolutely, absolutely all right.
Speaker 5Well, thanks so much for having me thank you.
Speaker 2Thank you so much for being here. I appreciate you took time time out of your day or night to be here, so stick around so I can have a drink with you. All right, all right, awesome, all right, you know what here? Cheers, cheers, all Cheers, all right. Up next is Mike Bauer. Mike Bauer's in the hot seat and look at the people. It's funny just watching the conversations on the room in there. What's up, mike? Oh, you know, I'll do cheers to you too. I did Mr Labatt's blue. All right, all right, yes thank you.
Speaker 2Congratulations. Thank you so much, much. It's very nice thank you. Should I open it now or no? Just, I can't open it now. Okay, let's see what's going on here. I got gifts, oh, by the way. Um, I think, uh, justin gave me this right that's right yeah, justin gave me some champagne. My partners gave me money. That never happened before, so that's okay, this is cool. Um, it's a achievement unlocked. It says oh geez. And it says happy 200. Uh, mike and kelly, kelly could not make it tonight kelly spade, um, but but I'm glad you're here.
Speaker 2You're, are you runner up? Yeah, yeah, I guess you're runner up. Oh, I got a gift card for willoughby's, which is a fantastic restaurant in the area here nice, nice, probably best steaks around.
Speaker 4Was he ever on the show?
Speaker 2No, and I've actually asked George Gamone. He has never been on. No, okay, I'll have to work on that, right, yeah?
Speaker 4you have to bring him on.
Speaker 2Maybe it's the shirt that I wear he doesn't like. Is it the shirt? Maybe I?
Speaker 4think it is the shirt.
Speaker 2I think it's the shirt do you even buy a shirt like that online? Yeah, you look up ugly shirts.
Speaker 4Yep, and this one came right up, right up, yeah, right, there's a volume, yeah, in the back, and then it follows you like wherever you go. Right, yes, yes, keeps showing up what's really funny.
Speaker 2I bought this three years ago, right, and I've never worn it. It sits in my closet and I keep thinking there's gotta be. I don't know. My daughter's shaking your head like it's a good idea that you don't wear it. That was funny, so I just never wore. I thought you know what, tonight's the night this is it.
Speaker 4I mean what other? Where else would you wear a shirt like that?
Speaker 2uh, I'm thinking if, if you're in a fire, you're gonna blend in it kind of has that fire.
Speaker 4Look what do you think you're really pulling it on vegas?
Speaker 2yeah, I would think this would be a great Vegas shirt. Great.
Speaker 4Yeah, great Vegas shirt you could lay on the carpet and blend right in. So true, they have. Carpet looks like that.
Speaker 2So, mike, you are a lender also and you've been doing mortgages here for a long time and I want to thank you. You've been on the show a lot. In fact, you're going to be up soon again because I think we need to talk about what things are going on right now. There's a lot of stuff going on. The Fed rate went down, all those things and we'll have you back on to talk about all this stuff?
Speaker 4Yeah, that'd be great.
Speaker 2You're at where CMG, cmg, home loans.
Speaker 4Yeah, yeah, yeah. How do we get in touch with up?
Speaker 2yeah, but purchases too, I mean rates, are coming down. What's the rate?
Speaker 4today. Um, I mean, you know, like low sixes, low sixes, yeah, that's awesome. Uh, fha va is in the fives away.
Speaker 2That's great, that's amazing. Yeah, awesome. It's coming down. So do you have a question for me? Well, it was where you bought that shirt so that was that was the question oh yeah, by the way, he was thank you, thank you you go. You were one of the first sponsors actually for the show. I think he was the first sponsor, if I'm not mistaken. Thank you for your support.
Speaker 4You helped us. I did want to say congratulations 200 amazing, that's incredible well, you were in there a couple times give up way before 200?
Speaker 2yeah, are you saying I should have, or?
Speaker 4just kept going just kept.
Speaker 2He doesn't know when to stop that's funny, that's no, it's amazing.
Speaker 4Thank you so um, do you? Do you have a favorite child?
Speaker 2uh, no, I do not well katherine's here, so I'm gonna say katherine, because she's right here.
Speaker 4Yeah, yeah, well, your son, he's probably listening. He probably is.
Speaker 2Yeah, no, I don't do favorites I just don't do that it's just not a good thing to do. I love them both equally, all right all right, you know what?
Speaker 4I only said that because she's standing right, she's standing right here.
Speaker 2Thanks a lot for putting me under pressure there. So we are bringing up the next guest. Oh, I'm out. Yeah, you're out. You're out. Yeah, it's funny how people just want to hang out oh well annabelle.
Speaker 2What do you notice? That the people they want to hang out right. So, by the way, what you don't see behind the scenes is there's a wonderful person, annabelle is actually taking pictures. She is a great photographer. She's taking pictures tonight, uh, of the show. She's capturing everything that's going on. So, after the show, we're going to be able to, like in the next couple of days and next couple of weeks, actually show a lot of good photos and stuff. So, yeah, thanks, man, appreciate it, stick around if you can, all right. So Kevin, timo Kim and Tim Ashanko is he here? What's that? What's up, kevin? Oh, you bringing your bodyguard, I think. Oh boy, I should have known Kevin would be the loud one. What's up, buddy? How you doing? I didn't think you're going to show up. I was getting a little nervous. I was like you know what?
Speaker 7Listen, I only came for the appearance money.
Speaker 14That is funny, oh my.
Speaker 2God. You know what's funny by the time we leave here, kevin will have all this money in his pocket. He's going to be like there's got to be a way I can use this.
Speaker 7There's got to be a way I can use it. I'll tell you the last time I was collecting money.
Speaker 11Was it just?
Speaker 2recently.
Speaker 7Yeah, it was on a bachelor party, and then I was like okay.
Speaker 2You know what you got to put your headphones on so you can hear what the heck's going on here, Because otherwise you'll be like what is going on? Thanks for being here, man. Every time he comes on it's a good time. We always have great conversation. We don't know where it's ever going to go, which is kind of fun. But if you don't know Kevin Kevin is the owner of Metropolitan Companies and he's got a gazillion apartments. Ooh, as I hit the microphone, he's got a gazillion apartments. He's got developments and all these things all over the place from Berks County, which is amazing. Can you believe it? It's hard to believe. It's hard to believe. It really is Hard to believe. But he's also just a good guy, good friend, and I appreciate you coming out. No, it's my pleasure. Yeah, I appreciate it, Did you?
Speaker 7get to the beach a lot. This year.
Speaker 2No, not as much this year.
Speaker 7We go to Europe for a few months. Oh okay, there's beaches there. Yeah, we weren't there.
Speaker 2We were at the wineries. Are you, are you aunt? Oh, are they good? Love them, you love it. Yeah, yeah, so good, so good. So tell me what is new going on. I mean, are you what's the newest development? Newest like, what are you doing? There's got to be something that you just like. Oh, I just made this deal um pittsburgh, pittsburgh.
Speaker 7Yeah, we're building a thousand apartments out there wow, that's incredible.
Speaker 2Yeah, well, and I bet they're probably they'll rent in no time, as fast as we build them. Unbelievable, unbelievable. How's the iroquois thing going? Sold out, sold out as fast you're done. As fast as we build it. Can you open that damn road there? There's a road that I just wish I could take a shortcut on, but they have these blocks up there. I know what's going on with that. I'm not dumb. Once we open it.
Speaker 7Yeah, it's gonna. Yeah, I'm worried about the traffic yeah, just it's gonna fly through there, yeah actually asked the township if we could put a one of those table speed bumps in. Yeah, they wouldn't let us do it. I'm like why. That's what he said.
Speaker 2Yeah, yeah yeah, I know, this is where this is what's funny about kevin. It always goes into that.
Speaker 7What can't they? I'm paying for it, yeah, cause they're going to fly through that. It's my biggest.
Speaker 2I agree with you.
Speaker 7We're on both sides.
Speaker 2I'm planning on going 70 through there, that's what I'm thinking 70 should work really well. And if you put one of those ramps in there. That'd be really nice. Get launched off and come back down. Yeah, you look good man, doesn't it look like Vegas? I got really cool sneakers on too. They're red-ish, but they have gold in them.
Speaker 7Listen, I got to tell you this. I was just talking to your wife and I am just shocked that she's still with you. That's right. Every time I meet her I'm like this is why I bring Kevin on.
Speaker 2He brings me down a level. He brings me down. She looks amazing, right, she looks phenomenal. Yeah, yeah, yeah, you're leaving after this, right.
Speaker 7I was going to hang around for a little bit. I'm talking to your great son, Carson. Oh yeah, Carson's great.
Speaker 2And my daughter's right there. She's kind of wondering why you didn't get a chance to talk to her.
Speaker 7Yeah, I was actually in the room and I said who's that young girl? And they said, oh, like what?
Speaker 2Yeah, I know, dude, she was little kid, amazing, amazing carson's golfing.
Speaker 7And I already said, you're at this age already better than your father.
Speaker 2Yeah, oh, that's a given. When he started he was better than me. It was funny. Kevin works the room in there he knows everything that's going on in that room. Who's there? What's going on? I love it. I love it. So you have any questions for me, like you want to ask me a question.
Speaker 7Yeah. So the question I would want to ask oh, I can't wait. No, it's not that. Okay. Good, you used to have beautiful hair. Oh, geez, if, if you could, the genie came out of the bottle, would you want that hair back?
Speaker 2I know, not, not necessarily at your age, but like sort of like that whole oh, you mean, like up there on the record, you were gorgeous. Yeah, that was a good picture, that's a good picture that's the one I'm talking about.
Speaker 2Yeah, yeah if I could have that hair back, I would be a happy guy. Guy. That's what I should have told them. We should have been in the box. My hair, that's right. If there was something in the box that I could get out of a box right now, it would be my hair. That would be it that I lost. I lost my hair. Yeah, you know what it's tough. It's what the hell.
Speaker 7Listen, I got great hair, but my feet smell.
Speaker 11Oh geez, Nobody's perfect oh my gosh.
Speaker 2Oh geez, All right, On that note. Who's up next? Is that the only question you had? That was it. I only had one, Okay that's good.
Speaker 7No, that's good.
Speaker 2That's good. Okay, you're good, I'm good.
Speaker 2We've been always watching here at watching you over here, right there, we were watching you in that room. We were watching you work the crowd. Well, I came for the free booze. I knew that. I knew that. Tell Susan. I said hello. Okay, buddy, I love you. I love you too. Good to see you. Thanks for coming out. It means a lot, all right. So who's next in the hot seat here? Tammy is here. Oh, tammy, good to see you. I was hoping you'd get here on time. We're running a little over right now, but I think that's okay, we'll be all right. We'll be all right. You're going to have to bring that down. Kevin's a little tall there.
Speaker 7Oh yeah.
Speaker 14Well, that would have been fun right.
Speaker 2Awesome. So cheers, I'm going to do a little cheers with you. I have my little Surfside, do you?
Speaker 14amazing, this invention is incredible so all right, I brought you a present.
Speaker 2Oh, you brought me a present oh, is this gonna be t-shirts for? Oh and your crew.
Speaker 14So, oh, thank you, congratulations, thank you so much.
Speaker 2Oh, my god, there's how many people we have here. Thank you so much, and I know it's on here. This is the center for tmj, which is that's your company, and I see.
Speaker 9I have your teeth here, yeah.
Speaker 2Yeah, that would be bad If we had your teeth here, it'd be really bad yeah. So um, thanks for coming. I know you were at a dinner or something beforehand.
Speaker 14Yes, I was entertaining another dentist.
Speaker 2Entertaining another dentist. Okay, good, good, good. I'm going to put these down, or otherwise I'm going to be holding them another dentist.
Speaker 14Okay, good, good, good, I'm going to put these down, or otherwise.
Speaker 2I'm going to be holding them, absolutely, yeah, but thanks for coming in. So when Tammy was on, uh, the reason she was at one is that she was a customer years ago. Also, a friend also used to do my teeth, um. And then what was really amazing is when you, when you helped out Jess with her TMJ and she was a lot of pain, and my wife and, and you, you fixed it. I mean, you gave her an appliance, fixed it. And from that point on I was like this person's pretty amazing, I mean, and now you're doing sleep apnea, you're doing snoring, all this stuff. So, uh, you still get this. Is there anything new?
Speaker 14Well, my question for you is actually from your wife.
Speaker 2Oh boy, when gonna get the appliance because of snoring, yeah yeah, no, are you getting nudged? Uh, yeah, I do get nudged sometimes have you done anything about I? Haven't done a damn thing. Uh, I do probably snore, but I'm, it doesn't bother me. Um and um, yes, I should come to you and get the appliance made that makes me breathe better and sleep better. I, I should do that. Yeah, because I need to sleep. Yeah, I absolutely do. Boy, this has become an awkward show. Oh my gosh.
Speaker 14There is something new, though, to get you off the hook.
Speaker 2Oh, what's new.
Speaker 14It's called an Inspire implant. And it's put in by an ear, nose and throat doctor and it controls the tongue at night, so it stays out of the airway oh so you don't have to wear anything in your mouth, you don't have to wear a mask on your face I think I know somebody that has this.
Speaker 2I think susan's husband has this. Uh, mark mcfadden, I think he has that, that appliance. Pretty sure he does. Actually. Yeah, because it's surgically put in it is and it went through your ear no, no.
Speaker 14They go in through underneath your tongue and they put a uh like a computer underneath the clavicle and then there's leads that go to the tongue. So it pushes the tongue out of the airway all night.
Speaker 2Well, that's interesting. So your tongue is getting shocked the whole night.
Speaker 2Pretty much Very good, very good, I'm probably. Jess would probably rather you had me do that one, because she'll probably turn up the shock somehow. You know. Well, there you go, oh, my gosh. So otherwise, you're doing well, very good, all right, you're going to come back on the show sometime, sure, okay, good, good, good, and no other questions for me, though. We're good for now. No, we're good, all right. Awesome, thanks for stopping in. All right, yeah, we're doing well here at 7. Thank you, thank you, I appreciate that, and thanks for being a guest too. We'll have you on again.
Speaker 2Oh man, uh oh, those who in the hot seat now my mom and dad, who have never been on before, are in the hot seat, and I. This is going to be interesting. This is going to be interesting. They're going to be on, probably for an hour. No, all right, come on in here. So my parents have never been on the show before, um, and now they're. They're going to be on the show, so they, um, um, are you guys didn't know you're going to be on the show, is that right? No, well, I didn't know, you didn't know it I thought I was just gonna be an observer.
Speaker 2Oh, you thought you're just gonna drink wine for free all night. What the heck. Have a snack, oh my gosh. All right, so you have to get up on the microphones real close, real close. Get up on those mics. I got to put this thing on. You put that on. Yeah, I know it's going to ruin your hair. I know. I know what she's thinking right now, right, zet?
Speaker 3She already said that. Close, you see how I am here.
Speaker 2Close enough, yeah, yeah, that should work, but mom, you're gonna get closer so with that being said, okay, so you've never been on a podcast before?
Speaker 3no, okay, I think I think years ago I was with you and brad and craig and I came in here one time oh, maybe you were was it on the days?
Speaker 2was it on, um? Uh, maybe it was on how you show up I think you were on that one.
Speaker 11Yeah, that was a long time ago.
Speaker 2Yeah, it was a long time. That's how I got bit by the bug, actually, so, uh. So what do you think? What do you think of the show?
Speaker 3great, okay, good, good, tonight's going okay, very good all right, cool wine's good, wine's good.
Speaker 2He's like you should do this every thursday company's been nice company's been nice, that's good that's good oh, that's good, that's good. So, um, you know so. Did you think, when you had this child here, that I would be? Well, they didn't even have podcasts back then. You guys always knew that I was going to do something in the arts field besides real estate.
Speaker 3Yeah, Of course, yes, yes, yes, without a doubt.
Speaker 2Without a doubt. Yeah, so is there anything that you want to tell people about me that maybe they don't?
Speaker 3know Well, I used to run a puppet show at five years old A puppet show and the family loved it.
Speaker 2Okay, that's good, that was the ventriloquist thing.
Speaker 3right, yeah, when Catherine started doing the ventriloquist thing, I thought wow, Yep, yep. Does she know her father did?
Speaker 2this, yeah, I did, it was Lester, lester. Yeah, oh boy, oh wow. Okay, we'll have to bleep the dog, okay, um so no. So do you have any questions?
Speaker 3for me. Yeah, about the show or about anything, no, I just I got one question. Oh, here we go why do you get up in the morning?
Speaker 2why do I get up in the morning? Why not? I don't know, um, why don't get up in the morning? I get up in the morning to um. Serve up in the morning to um serve. That's beautiful. Serve to serve whoever I can Uh, mostly my family, of course, first, and to set an example of getting up and doing what you love to do. Also, uh, living with no regrets. No regrets, Perfect. Uh, just like I said before, just do it. You know, what I've been learning more and more is that you just got to do it. You know, this started April 13th 2020, and it was an idea because of COVID and with that idea, became what it is now. So you create out of nothing and it becomes something.
Speaker 2It's what you think about becomes, what you think about becomes, and what you visualize becomes.
Speaker 3Isn't this cool? Yeah, I was really impressed when visualize gorgeous. Isn't this cool? Yeah, I turned up when I came in. Yeah, how you like all the money too, this is nice. Yeah, you know, it's a real sign of inflation really, and that's funny right there, that's good no, it's just how small it is.
Speaker 2I was gonna say something, but I won't because it'll go too far.
Speaker 3I shouldn't have said that. No, no, that's not.
Speaker 2Look how large it looks oh, yes, okay, so what you're saying is a couple years ago, wasn't that that's?
Speaker 3it was a lot larger, just actually four years ago okay, yep, all right, we're gonna move on.
Speaker 2So is any other questions? Mom, you didn't say anything. You don't have a question or anything at all. You listen to the show all the time I do yeah, you're like a fan. Yeah, dad doesn't even know until tonight that I have a podcast.
Speaker 5Yeah, there are different things that I make him listen to.
Speaker 2Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, that's true. What was your favorite show? She censors.
Speaker 9I think it was the one for the getting our oh my God, oh the Will.
Speaker 2No, yeah, oh the Will, yes the Will. Oh, I ended up getting a Will. Yeah, he ended up getting a Will. Thank goodness from Brian Boland.
Speaker 3Yep, did that all done and got our good, our death wishes and all that kind of stuff well, that's good, that's good, very good, very good.
Speaker 2So you know what I'm gonna have to move on. You guys are. You guys are off the hot seat already are you serious?
Speaker 3yeah, this is it. That's it. I gotta get other people go.
Speaker 2I have lots to say oh boy, he might just stay no pete heim is coming.
Speaker 3Pete heim's coming up now.
Speaker 2He takes up a lot of time he does take a lot of time and a lot of ego stroking. I mean, it's just terrible. I mean, oh yeah, cheers, cheers, cheers, absolutely. Thanks for being here. Love you both. Thanks for being on the show, even though you didn't know you were going to be on the show. I didn't know. All right, so we're winding. Look at this talk about wine winding down in the uh staging area. There's just not as many people there. All right, pete heim is coming in next. Pete, how you doing, buddy, good, good, good, how you, how you been? Oh, you're shaking them on too. Oh, this is great. Come on, sit down, Sit down. Oh, this is great, this is great. Congratulations, dude, thank you, thank you. Oh my God, did you just get out of the wine that we had? I did. He grabbed the bottle out of the wine we had.
Speaker 2I'm like this looks really familiar. It's so weird. All right, were you expect anything less from me? No, of course not, of course are you're you go? You look like you're a little tangled there, a little tangled, all right. So you, pete knows you gotta get close, not to get close, gotta get close you got your mic all right, so pete heim, you're like one wise man.
Speaker 2You're one of the last. It's gonna be you, and then my family's coming up next and then it's uh, then it's, then. This is the 200th episode will be over. Crazy, right, honored. And you've been on more uh than anybody yeah, besides me even I know hugo's probably on more too, yeah it's me, then, hugo and then you right but no, what an awesome um show.
Speaker 4We've been able to keep going, bro, I'll tell you it's been phenomenal, it's fun, right, it's fun. You know, I gotta tell you something. I I gotta say I told this to michelle earlier, not just yesterday, but a lot of times since you and I've been doing this I've had people say to me when I mentioned something that we talk about in a presentation or just in casual conversation they say oh well, you and Brad were talking about that interest rate thing.
Speaker 4And now I see how it blah, blah, blah. Dude, your show is making a difference. Oh, that's cool yeah.
Speaker 2Yeah.
Speaker 4And now I see how it blah, blah, blah. Yeah, dude, it's funny, your show is making a difference.
Speaker 2Oh, that's cool and that's well no, but that's what this is.
Speaker 4You are making a difference in people's lives and that yeah. I'm on what scale that is.
Speaker 9I mean I don, and that's that's the most important part.
Speaker 2We have so much fun doing it when pete and I do, because we've been doing this for so long together. It's such a. It's so easy to play off each other so easy, you know, and most time we're laughing. A lot of times I'll listen to our show. I listen almost. I listen to all my shows. Um, and when I listen back I'll be laughing, sometimes just like, oh my god, what a bunch of idiots you know it's really funny, I'm so glad we don't record the pre-show.
Speaker 2Oh, thank goodness. Yeah, holy crap. Hugo's like oh, if I could tell those stories.
Speaker 4We talk about marriage counseling. It's terrible.
Speaker 2Politics, politics.
Speaker 5No, no Religion, you hear?
Speaker 2what my dad said. You can tell there was an inflation. Look how small it got. That was classic. That was classic. That is classic.
Speaker 4And Timoshenko's over here going. How can I use this?
Speaker 11Timoshenko's just trying to take it all.
Speaker 2He's like is this real? If I put water on it, will it get bigger? Unbelievable.
Speaker 11Oh my gosh.
Speaker 2Well thanks for being on every month. What's that?
Speaker 4Yeah, that's what's gonna say. Yeah, what's the question? You have a question for me at all. Let me start. Yeah, oh, boy has one too. Oh, you have one too, great, yep. So so, brad, yeah, I'm gonna throw you a softball. Oh, here we go. You know, I've heard other people say their questions and it was kind of hard on you. Yeah, I'm gonna be easy on you. Oh good, thank god, you're really good at podcasting.
Speaker 2Oh, thank you and you're really good realtor.
Speaker 4Thank you, you've got both those talents right yeah, which one you like more?
Speaker 2hmm, it's like picking your favorite kid. I mean, it's well you always.
Speaker 4You have like nine or ten of them, so it's a little tough for you never say who it is yeah, you never say who it is, but you've got your favorite.
Speaker 2Yeah, yeah, yeah, uh, no, I, I enjoy both. This is my golf. Oh, this is your this is my golf.
Speaker 2That's the way I look at it now, if I can make golf, uh later on you remember 30 some years, same as you're longer in the business but if I can make this part of my retirement, whether it be going from this, here's the dream. The dream is going from this either a into politics, okay, or uh be into um public speaking of some sort, coming up with uh, writing a book, yeah, and doing something that's more motivational, more public like that, where I can help people, serve people and make their help, make their lives better. That's the goal, wow. But real estate is is still obviously in my blood and I love it.
Speaker 4It's my competitive side well, you're good at it. Yeah, yeah, thank you so she's a book editor, by the way.
Speaker 2Oh, are you really? She actually is, yeah, the book that the word that keeps coming up for me is trust, a book called trust. Oh wow, yep, well, that's good trust and and there's so many things that I have with. We'll have to talk about it at some point. I would like to talk about it and there's a lot to it, a lot to it.
Speaker 4Yeah, so Michelle has a question oh, what's your question? So love your wife Jess.
Speaker 2Yep, thank you. Beautiful children. Thank you, yeah, awesome, but I want to know what is?
Speaker 12okay, so she's obviously really helpful in supporting what you do and she also works.
Speaker 2Oh, yeah, absolutely.
Speaker 12Like crazy woman right.
Speaker 2Yeah.
Speaker 12Such a good, talented lady. What do you see as her like? Your favorite attribute of your wife.
Speaker 2Oh, that she can do 15,000 things at a time? No, and it's proven. Women are very good at multitasking. Yeah, men are not.
Speaker 14Yeah, good together.
Speaker 2I mean, yeah, we definitely shared things, but she's very good at having all of it up here and knows where everybody's going and he knows that the field hockey sticks have to be there and that this has to be there. She's very good at having all of it up here and knows where everybody's going and he knows that the field hockey sticks have to be there and that this has to be there. She's she just has all that, yeah.
Speaker 4And it's amazing. Yeah, it's this one.
Speaker 2Yeah, I don't know how that works, you know, but it's, that's what it is. But yeah, is that answer. I think the last guest is uh, I'm not gonna say the best guest, but pretty much the best guest. Yeah, yeah it is the best. Congratulations and and thank you so much, and jess has been helping the whole night here with organizing people coming.
Speaker 2Yeah, she's the, absolutely she's absolutely you wait till she sees this money, though she's gonna grab it just like kevin, grab it just like Kevin. So no. So I want to say, you know, thanks for everybody that was on. Now I have my family coming on and is to, you know, kind of wrap this whole thing up, because they were here the last time for Christmas. You're going to have to share a mic there, guys, so remember you have to get up on the mics, okay, don't forget. Oh, another one, is this yours or mine? Oh, thank you. So, um, yeah, so this is cool. The family's back in the studio um 200 episode episodes later and, um, you know, just remember you got to get up on those mics, guys. So what do you? I'm gonna just ask what do you think of the podcast tonight? How'd it go?
Speaker 16it was good it was good.
Speaker 2So all night she was chattering on that microphone faking a podcast it was good it was good, okay, good, okay. She's looking at herself in the tv, and what do you think, carson, how'd it go it? Was good it was good. You sound like you're not sure it was good besides the shirt besides the shirt, so they don't like the shirt yeah, but it matches your shoes.
Speaker 16That's a little crazy.
Speaker 13Well, I was also thinking when you said the three things you might want to get into, you would have to get some new clothes for politics.
Speaker 2Not really fly so well, how do you know? This could be the new look for politics, right? You don't know? People remember me. I don't think so you don't think so, okay, okay, so, um, do you guys have any questions for me? I do Okay.
Speaker 16Ooh, um, if you could be anything besides, like a successful realtor and a podcast or like person or whatever, what would?
Speaker 2you do, I'd be a singer, singer, songwriter. Besides that, oh, besides that, yeah, besides. Oh, I'd be probably a commercial pilot, but she's not impressed by the answer. Were you expecting something different? No, commercial pilot yeah.
Speaker 2Of course I don't drink on a plane. Should we tell them real quick? I do not drink on a plane and the reason I don't is because I have my pilot's license. Now, I haven't flown for a long time. I have my pilot's license and the reason I don't drink on a plane is because if somebody comes out and goes, is there a pilot or is there somebody that can fly the plane, which means that that the captain died or is no longer able to fly and the first officer is no longer able to fly. So I don't drink because I'm the third officer. Okay, so that's why.
Speaker 2That's the reason I drink on a plane that she drinks heavily because she's afraid I might be flying wait, I have a question, though one more. What's that?
Speaker 16how did you get just one red shoe?
Speaker 2how'd I get one red shoe? You know, uh ask suzy redesign it was. It was um. I wear red sneakers almost every day, which you guys know. I have 20, I think 21 pairs of red sneakers. I thought it was 18, it's more.
Speaker 2Now I have 21 pairs of red sneakers and I wear red sneakers every day and that's why it was in the. That's why it's in the logo. I told Susie after she had that logo started. I said to her I need a red sneaker in there and let's see what that looks like. She put the red sneaker in and it was voila, it was perfect um, I have a question.
Speaker 16Yeah, go ahead. What made you start the podcast?
Speaker 2um, I always I like doing podcasts. That I've done before, but during covid it gave me the space and the time to actually do it and think about it yeah, I remember it.
Speaker 16I remember you with this little thingy, midwob over here this thingy midwob, you mean the mixer. Yeah, yeah, you would sit in, like the dining room, you know. You would sit on our counter and just like start pressing buttons oh yeah, absolutely yeah. You know, you guys were all excited about it yeah, and I always said can I press those colorful buttons?
Speaker 2and I said no, I know, yeah, exactly, all right.
Speaker 16So but when it was off, I just put my fingers on every of course you did.
Speaker 2Of course you did, jessie, everything else you want to uh say or talk about or anything like that, because we're gonna have to wrap this up. It is 801. Last question. Yeah.
Speaker 13We've talked about the number of podcasts that somebody usually does to be a successful podcaster usually to get past a certain number. So here we are at 200. Tell us, what do you think made you successful to get to reach that goal?
Speaker 2I would say just having a vision for it. Also a good team, uh, hugo, tony stevens, suzy lysik having a great team behind me, and and being able to delegate things that I that I can't do, um and uh, just keeping it going. I'll tell you one thing that really made it go better was when we started recording instead of instead of always doing live like this, uh, we, we started recording them and placing them out further ahead, further in the distance. Uh, that's probably what made me keep doing it. And and now it's amazing and I think I've told people this a couple times is I get about five or six requests a week to be on the show and we're not talking locally, these are nationally, and sometimes international.
Speaker 16Okay, good, I have one more question. Okay, go. How did you feel when you did your first podcast?
Speaker 2um, a little nervous, yeah, a little nervous, but it was. It was just in in our, in the office, in our house and with justin, so it wasn't that bad and nobody was really listening. All right, all right, so we gotta wrap it up, go ahead, let's do family cheers.
Speaker 2Oh yeah, family cheers, thank you, thank you, thank you all right so we're going to wrap this up and I have a little bit to say here. Let's do family cheers, oh yeah, family cheers. Thank you, thank you, thank you, all right. So we're going to wrap this up and I have a little bit to say here before we do. As we're doing it, hugo, I want to say, um, thanks so much to you, uh, for putting this together tonight. It was a lot of work. You had to do a lot. I appreciate that very much.
