Where Coffee, Conversation, and Theology Meet. During my 40 years in ministry, I’ve developed an increasing burden for what I sense to be an increase in biblical illiteracy, not only among those in our churches, but also in the young men and women entering the ministry. Conversely, I am hopeful, because I also sense a hunger from people to learn and know biblical truth and the things of God has revealed to us in Scripture. Our Kitchen Table Theology team has developed a list of over 150 doctrinal topics which I, along with one of my cohosts, Jen Denton or Tiffany Coker, examine weekly. Our goal is to educate and share biblical truth on the same level as if we were sitting at your kitchen table with a Bible and a pot of southern pecan coffee in front of us. Welcome to the table!

053 Your Position in Christ
“The elevated status which is ours in the Kingdom is from Christ. It’s in the spiritual realm, in God’s Kingdom. That, however, doesn't mean that we wait until we get to heaven to have any authority or take our place of authority. We are there now.”
This is the first episode of our new series, "Your Position In Christ". Today Jen and Pastor Jeff discuss what it means when the Bible tells us that we are raised, seated, and united with Christ, and how that sheds light on God’s will for our lives and our spiritual walk.

- A lot of Christians have fallen into the problem of not knowing what their position is in Christ.

- Paul tells us in Romans 5:17 that we are free to reign with Christ.
- We’ll never confidently walk in this freedom if we don't know we have it.

- God has raised us from the dead along with Christ
- We are seated with Him in the heavenly realms
- We are united with Christ
- As Christians it is part of our purpose and God’s will for our lives to take the position He has given us to rule and reign with Christ.

- If your life is in the pits, know that you have been lifted out of that pit through Christ Jesus.
