In this Episode, we dive into Kyle's upbringing as a diaspora asian growing up in Canada and how it led him to starting his podcast "What Kind of Asian Are You?" We also talk about how his travelling adventures had ultimately led him to his current country of residence, Singapore. We also discuss what "self-love" means for him and his perspectives living as a diaspora.
Kyle Leung is passionate about sharing stories and validating voices of diaspora Asians (aka Third Culture kids) through his podcast “What kind of Asian Are you?” Through his platform, he explores the views on culture, identity, work, family, inspiration and many more through the lens of his diaspora Asian guests. Through this exploration, his mission is to also highlight the differences and amplify the perspectives that many in our world may not see or understand as a diaspora. He was born in Hong Kong and raised in Ontario, Canada and has travelled around Asia teaching English abroad, while familiarizing himself with the unique cultures that the continent has to offer. He currently resides in Singapore (AKA Foodie Hotspot), enjoying the foods, lifestyle, and culture that is available in the country.
