Hello again, and welcome to the August of 2025 Inspiring Innovations Learning Moments podcast. As always, this is your monthly discussionist host, Marv Pickla. And before we get into this month's special topic, I want to inform everyone about our recent plan to expand the target audience of what we call our Ideas Unlimited Live Group. It's about innovation and entrepreneurship and the initiatives that go with it. And it's partially sponsored with Alpina Community College, but mostly it's driven by the Inspiring Innovations Group. The Ideas Unlimited Live project started a couple years ago and was targeted towards high school students. The project is a live podcast featuring real entrepreneurs that tell their idea building story to almost everybody who won't dials in on the virtually on the system, and it runs once a month and is very similar to these podcasts. It runs from 12 noon to 1245, just 45 minutes, and usually is broadcast during the last week of every month, always starting in September. Why? Oh yeah. Due to everyone usually spending their time in the summer months basking in the sun, the Ideas Unlimited Live program, you know, sh it kind of takes the summer off. But why am I announcing this? Well, starting on September 30th, the Ideas Unlimited Live podcast will be open to anyone and everyone. It will show up on my Inspiring Innovations uh website, and it'll be included information on my Triple I Time weekly blogs and just other partnership sites to make connectivity with it as easy and as possible as possible. And it's always a blast. And the entrepreneurship guests are are good and fantastic and you get a lot of good ideas just for yourself and for your company. Check it out September thirtieth. Now on with this month's learning moments topic. The title is Sending Progress Initiative Messages. Sending progress initiative messages. Year to date, we have not used this podcast format to talk about the appropriate drive for sending progress initiative messages on new or old issues whenever you can. But with so many changes occurring in all sectors of our economy almost at the fastest pace ever, sending progress initiative messages can place you in a bright light zone at home or at work all the time. And it goes on to label you as always innovative, change adaptive, and maybe even cutty jade edge supportive, okay? Sending progressive initiative messages every time you can. Think about the huge value to customers of any product or service that recognize you as always having a fresh look and feel, diversity, and some new service opportunity that's totally unique. Why? Because you are sending progress initiative messages about you and your company all the time, every time. But on the flip side, think about what value do you gain if you wait or you just send a flat sounding message? Can you list the time, the the reasons, the good reasons for waiting? Or can you also list the times that maybe you sent a poor message that really was just flat? Think about it. Waiting to take action is an unfortunate an unfortunate form of hiding from a communication issue. And there are many times that waiting proves to be the better option. However, often taking that waiting position and looking for a better moment actually sets you in a moving backward in your professional stance, in your professional arena. Think about it. And don't overstress over the challenges of making certain communication choices. Sending progress initiative messages, whether simple or monumental, prevents you from falling into that progress prevention hiding spot. Do you hide? As you're thinking about sending progress initiative messages, take a little time and do a not so quick review of all the message tools and channels that you use to get the word out? From a customer or public perspective, let me ask these questions. Do your messages make somebody smile? Do they make you maybe want more information about you and your business? Do people want to be a regular customer or just a one-timer because of your style of messaging? And do your messages make your competition want to replicate what you and how you do what you do? Sometimes just doing regular things a little different helps when sending out progressive initiative messages. Consider job interviewing. That just is a simple thing. Rather than making sure you follow the questions traditionally asked, how about asking if they ever played a musical instrument or played in a band? Just to change up and add, you know, kind of a progress initiative to it. Fun, informational, creative, teamwork, they all kind of make a difference on how you message your initiatives, okay? Or maybe in a more formal setting, okay, in an agency setting, instead of somebody coming in and you're instructing, you know, the new customer to, hey, sign up over there first and make sure you complete the form before we can talk to you. Rather than start with that message, how about if you said, hey, let's not worry about the forums yet? How about if we just talk about why did you stop to see us today? Does the tone and the progressiveness sound a little different? Personal welcoming, non-governmental, you are the priority, not the forms, can make a real difference. Sending progress initiative messages follows close behind the great success statement that you only get one chance to make a great first impression. So my advice is to make sure any and all messages you send, try to follow that first great impression motto. Every message you send. Treat every message with the same great impression intent, and I bet you success will follow. Well, as always, that this topic, sending progress initiative messages, is one that warrants even more quality time. Poor and good examples would be my, you know, would make a great impression for trying to get this message, you know, perfectly across. But use this style of communication as a true leader. Well, my not my time is now over time, and I need to pay attention to uh my own rules to keep this uh under so many minutes. Make sending progress initiative messages a solid everyday habit. Regardless of quality feedback, stay on the high progress road, and it will serve you well. Thank you so much for listening. And please feel free to share this message with others. And yeah, as always, we'll talk more next month.
