About Pitch3D
Today I had the pleasure of interviewing Matthew Henshaw, the CEO and founder of Tika, whom I met through Craig Rosenblum, president of Hymed and 3DHill's New York Community Manager. Frankly, I felt a bit FOMO after reading Matthew's blog on the AOS conference and I reached out to him to see what are buzzing in the orthopedic world. Enjoy, hi, matthew, hey Jenny, how are you today to see what are buzzing in the orthopedic world.
Speaker 2:Enjoy, hi, matthew. Hey, jenny, how are?
Speaker 1:you today. It's great. Well for me, this morning, for you is probably the end of the day. To wrap up Exactly, I was just listening to this book, the Art of War. It says the mood of the soldiers actually vary throughout the day. In the morning, which where I am right now, I'm, you know, rise and shine, ready to go, but in the evenings, the soldiers mood it could be in many different places. You have to assess as a general. So where is your mood at the moment?
Speaker 2:honestly, I'm, I'm, pretty good. To be honest, we've, I've, I've had a good day and since AAOS and Canaccord, I've been following up with a lot of people, so there's a lot of positivity at the moment in terms of the mood of my business and the mood of my immediate surroundings.
Speaker 1:So it's all very good at this point in time I like to always give a little bit of background about our speakers. Obviously, I have your file, but I like to just show the audience who our people, who we're interviewing, are, why don't you tell us a little bit about who you are and your business and what you're looking for?
Speaker 2:Yeah, so effectively, I have a couple of different ventures, so to speak. Uh, my, my primary business is in recruitment, so I started off in in medtech recruitment around 15 years ago. Yeah, I've had my own business for 12 years and, and effectively, uh, we started off, at least initially, helping us companies move to europe, and that was when CE Mark was quite easy to achieve and companies would come across to Europe, get their CE Mark to commercialize over in Europe. We'd help build their sales teams and their commercial business over here.
Speaker 2:And then, once they were ready to go to the US, a lot of companies organically took us with them.
