This episode features Sheldon Persad. Sheldon is the co-owner of Personal Best and is an NCCP certified coach in several different sports. He has been coaching for 34 years, and his experience includes being the S&C coach of athletes who have competed at world championships, the Commonwealth Games, the Pan-American Games, and the Olympics from close to two dozen different national team programs. Over the past 21 years, Sheldon has worked with the Canadian Sport Institute Ontario in the capacities of Lead S&C, Lead Sport Science, Manager Performance Services, Director Sports Science and Sports Medicine, Director Performance Services, and is currently a Senior Advisor.  Sheldon is a co-founder of the Certified Professional Trainers Network (CPTN), a founding Director of the Canadian Strength and Conditioning Association (CSCA), an author, and an award-winning international conference presenter.  He has twice hosted his own radio show segment and has taught high-performance coaches at two different colleges.  He is also a Stress and Wellness Consultant. Above all, Sheldon enjoys spending time with his wife and tries to stay in shape in an effort to keep up with his kids.
