Leave Your Mark
The Leave Your Mark Podcast is where high performance meets human stories. Each week, we go beyond résumés and highlight reels to explore how extraordinary people, high achievers who are also genuinely good humans, have been shaped by their environments, experiences, and the people around them.
More importantly, we uncover how they are leaving their mark on the world.
Step inside the minds and lives of remarkable individuals from sport, business, arts, and beyond, and walk away inspired to leave your own mark.
Your host, Scott Livingston, has spent over 35 years in the world of human performance. He’s trained, reconditioned, and supported some of the best athletes on the planet, working inside elite performance environments and learning firsthand what it takes to be the best in the world.

The Conversations Men Struggle to Have—with Rod Macdonald and Blake Miles
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
What happens when the roles that once gave a man purpose no longer offer the same sense of direction, and he doesn’t know how to talk about it?
On Episode 501 of Leave Your Mark, I’m joined by Rod Macdonald and Blake Miles, the partners behind Help Your Man, for an open conversation about identity, relationships, and the challenges men can face in midlife. Drawing on their backgrounds in fitness, wellness, coaching, and their own personal experiences, Rod and Blake share why they’ve turned their attention toward helping men feel better understood and more connected.
We explore how expectations around strength and self-reliance can make it difficult to express uncertainty or ask for support. We also discuss how parenthood, career changes, separation, and shifting responsibilities can unsettle a person’s identity, and how couples can find themselves growing apart without ever having an honest conversation about what is changing.
Their initiative begins with helping women better understand and communicate with their male partners. Along the way, we consider the men who don’t have that support, the importance of friendship and community, and how partners can preserve their individual identities while building a meaningful life together.
This is a thoughtful conversation about belonging, purpose, and finding the courage to let the people closest to us know what we’re carrying.
