Safe endoscopy starts with a SNAP.
Show Notes

Today we chat to Ajith George, Ear Nose and Throat Consultant, and Medical Director of the MedTech Company which developed SNAP. We hear how he is finding opportunities to adapt his working practice in Head and Neck Cancer in response to COVID-19. He describes the development of the SNAP device which clicks into a conventional surgical mask to provide a safe environment for his patients for nasendoscopy, and what is next for us in the world of endoscopy, plus the untold story of how the SNAP device was conceived. Since the episode was recorded the developers have been awarded a grant from Innovate UK, part of UK Research and Innovation, which ensures the funding of maximal possible free SNAP devices into the NHS in the UK.
