Perspectives from the UK and the USA: assessment and rehabilitation of dysphonia during the COVID-19 pandemic
Show Notes

Today we speak to a group of expert clinicians specialising in voice disorders - Professor Bari Hoffman Ruddy, Speech Pathologist, Jane Shaw, Speech and Language Therapist, and Mark Watson, Consultant Laryngologist. We chat about the restrictions imposed on instrumental assessment of the larynx during the COVID-19 pandemic and how services are innovating new methods of assessment and rehabilitation of dysphonic patients. Great discussion and tips to embed good telehealth sessions into practice and how clinicians can avoid and address vocal fatigue.

Fiona Robinson and Suzanne Slade are Speech and Language Therapists practising in the UK and we also educate health professionals in Speech Voice and Swallow. We collaborate with international experts to create fabulous events imparting clinical knowledge and skills.
We schedule twice yearly FEES courses in Nottingham UK and create bespoke FEES training for teams at your location. Our blog and SVS PodChats explore current opinion and topics related to speech voice and swallow.
