Sune is from Denmark but is an international humanitarian at large and has roamed the world for nearly 20 years, taking acting across the globe in places such as Timor Leste, Sierra Leone, Darfur and Fiji. For most of his career Sune has worked for the United Nations and most recently as head of the Pacific Office for Humanitarian Affairs - based in Suva, Fiji. Sune is currently the Associate Director of Strategic Partnerships for RedR Australia, an international humanitarian response agency that selects, trains and deploys technical specialists around the world. In this episode, we go far and wide; From being driven by helping and living internationally with a family to the darker sides of humanitarian aid and being diplomatic in a competitive business and negotiating with militias.
