Music, Hello everyone, and welcome to intentional, spiritual living with Brian. This is season three, Episode Six. We're on the homeward stretch of our 10 episode season I can't believe it time is and I know I say this at the beginning of every episode, but time is just flying. Today's a special episode for me, kind of a goofy reason, but I like to share I started this podcast in 2020, during the god, awful covid era. And as many of you know, but if you haven't listened to season one, so we all went through that whole shutdown, and I had just opened Raven's cauldron like four months before, and then we had to turn around and shut down and figure life out, as you all know. And so that's when I started this podcast, when I sat in this exact chair, so you might hear ambulances in the background and cars, because I'm at the old store, because it was a closed at the time, and now this is crooked cottage escape rooms. And so it's a special time for me, because it kind of goes back to my roots where I recorded it and started it, and I'm so glad to be back doing it again. So enough about that. So here we are, season three, Episode Six. Today we're going to talk continue our 10 part, building your crystal toolkit section. And today we're going to be talking all about ocean Jasper, a powerhouse gem that you cannot tell one piece from the next. It's very hard to identify sometimes and very, very relevant for the Gen Z folks and younger of the world, and relevant for us all, but it's really wonderful, and we'll talk about why that is. Second section we are going to talk about how to make spell powder. And that might sound a little crazy to you, spell powder is something that I kind of invented decades ago that has been very powerful me for very powerful for me, and I like to share all this stuff with you guys. And so that's what we're going to do today, is make spell powder go through a very basic prosperity spell, come up with some basic ingredients, and then walk through how to do that spell. And then this has everything to do with that age old question of, what do you do with the contents of a spell? Do you put them back into the earth? Do you bury them? Do you burn them? Do you throw them away? Do you do nothing with them? All that kind of stuff? And we're going to talk about that and and how to keep re energizing the spell with this spell powder they're going to make. And finally, we will do our three card Tarot pull and see what the universe wants us to know and has in store for us for the weeks ahead. So with no further ado, folks, let's get started. How All right, let's get right into it. So we have went through five crystals, and this season to start curating and building our crystal toolkit, if you're following along, and today, we're going to talk about ocean Jasper and why you might want to add that to your toolkit. So to begin, let's talk about a little bit of the geology of ocean Jasper for our science people. So it's a variety of calcidity, which is a microcrystalline form of quartz, and it's known for its vibrant colors. And orb like patterns. And I say orb like because there's a type of Jasper called orbicular Jasper. That is just that it's got the circles of multiple whites around deep reds, blues, TEALS, pinks, yellows. It's very, very striking, very beautiful, if you like Sardonyx at all, which is a banded type of Carnelian. It's not unlike that with the orb patterns. And so those those patterns are formed through compression and aggregation of silica minerals over millions of years, and the colors and the patterns are influenced by things like magnesium iron and other minerals. And that adds to the diversity of this stone. It is a 6.7 to seven on the Mohs scale, so definitely worthy of using your jewelry. What's cool about Madagascar? What's cool about Madagascar? I'm thinking of Madagascar because that's where I was going to say you could take four or five pieces of ocean Jasper from Madagascar, which is where I get 90% of the ocean Jasper we sell at Raven's cauldron, and line them up. And then you you would maybe think that it was five different rocks. And that's really, really what's cool about it, because it's, it's just a very diverse stone. And so for collectors, it's a little irritating, because you could kind of have a. 100 pieces of it, because you got to have that one where, if, like, you're collecting Rose Quartz, it's all very similar type of thing. If you're catching sapphires, rubies, they're all, you know, kind of similar. Ocean Jasper stands apart, and that's what we're going to talk about. Its metaphysical uses here in a second. It's rarity. It's considered to be rare because it's very difficult to get to and it really started becoming marketed in the crystal industry, in the jewelry industry in the early 2000s and it got mined out pretty quickly the good material, it's still around in Madagascar, but as a result, it's hard to get to and so very high quality orbicular type patterns of ocean Jasper are very sought after and therefore considered quite rare, and that kind of adds to its allure for its metaphysical properties. So there is the science my friends on ocean Jasper. Now let's talk about its metaphysical uses. And I actually did a YouTube V log on this on my YouTube channel a while ago. So Gen Z, younger folks very accepting of differences in human beings, the whole LGBTQ plus world, trans that type of thing, all different pockets of people in the Gen Z, and they're very accepting of each other. I am a Gen X, and I didn't grow up in such an accepting environment. People were a lot more, I would say, judgmental in a little bit chaotic and downright mean in my era. I'm not saying that doesn't happen now, but we're in a different world now. So where does ocean Jasper comes in? Is that it is a universally loved stone, and no two pieces look alike, and we accept it for its metaphysical properties regardless. So a ugly, and of course, this is subjective, but there we have a joke in the store. There's there's a vein of ocean Jasper that's kind of a mustard color that has no other color, and it's just not that attractive. But you would get the same metaphysical goodness and love out of that piece, as you would one of these orbicular pieces. It's got beautiful swirls of red and teal and green and white. Doesn't matter. And so that's what's really cool about it. There's a whole diversity and inclusion movement in the world, for instance, and ocean Jasper fits into that vein. It doesn't care. We are all the same underneath, and that's what it kind of says. It's referred to as the stone of joy, and it is known to lift one's spirits and promote feelings of happiness, well being, warmth, that type of thing. And once again, it's because of self acceptance and public acceptance, if you will. We all are here to walk our path, to get our life on the road, and you will. And ocean Jasper helps us to accept ourselves. And once we accept ourselves, then that joy radiates out from us and we get public acceptance, and that's where it ties in. And I don't mean to tie this to any sort of generation. I'm not at all doing that. I'm just saying there's a lot more acceptance of human beings in the younger generations, but those that have come up prior to them are a little bit more judgmental. And so if you find yourself you know in that vein, try a piece of ocean Jasper to kind of soften your heart, and I will tell you I've done it myself. I accept every human for what they are, but I don't accept every idea I don't accept every belief system. Of course not. I'm a human being, but I have, in my circle of influence and circle of friends, I have people that drive me delirious because of that. They they buy into something that I think is absolute nonsense, for instance. And so when I am around that, when I'm walking into an environment like that, for instance, when I go to trade shows and stuff, there's a lot of opinions and there's a lot of forceful that's when I I grab this. It's not to calm me down. That would be amethyst. Now this is to to open my heart a little bit look at things from a different angle. If you think about the page of cups in tarot, for instance, that's what I would equate ocean Jasper, too, the page of cups. Since we're doing a podcast, you can't see it, but you have your phone, I'm sure you could look it up, but it's that page that's holding a cup or a chalice with a fish popping out of it, and it's a strange card, and you're like, why? And it's because I never thought of it that way. Maybe I should look at it from a different angle. What does that mean? And that's where ocean Jasper is a powerhouse, and I have at least four pieces in my collection for that reason. It's connected to the heart chakra. It's a powerful tool for emotional healing and enhancing relationships. Again, it's all about this balancing of emotions and self love and getting to know yourself. And once you know yourself, and once you're grounded in who you are, then you're going to exude warmth, and people are going to accept you. They tell about that confidence thing. It's also grounding and stabilizing. But there are far more prevalent stones on the planet that I would use Tiger eye coming to mind for. I use Tiger eye for all foundational stuff, but you could also use ocean Jasper for. For that very reason, and it's also finally known for reflection and spiritual growth. It encourages introspection and self reflection. Again, it all ties back to self love, and I can't encourage you enough to grab yourself a piece of this powerhouse stone. I truly love it for those reasons, it softens all of us, and we all need softened on certain areas. I and I certainly am not immune to that. As I described to you, I take it to trade shows. I take it when I'm going to be in a social situation where I have to talk to a bunch of diversity of thought. And there very well could be something that is a little triggering for me, and it shouldn't be triggering to me. I am a big proponent of diversity of thought. I love it. I love taking three wildly different opinions on something, throwing it in the pot, boiling, and seeing what comes out. But sometimes, as a human being that can get a hold of us, and again, I know I'm beating a dead horse here, because I can't tell you loud and clearly enough how much this works. Ocean. Jasper is your friend for self acceptance and overall acceptance. Get yourself a piece today. Add it to your toolkit. I assure you, I assure you that you will not regret it. You Oh, all right, let's get right into it and talk about spell powder. What the heck is spell powder, right? So give you a little background on me. Most of you already know this, but my heavily practicing figure in the craft. I could be called a witch, I could be called all kinds of things, but I do lots of rituals and spell craft and ceremonial things within the craft weekly, weekly, if not sometimes daily, depends on what's going on in my life. And so I've been doing that for decades, probably 35 years. And so as a result, the age old question comes up, so anytime you do a spell, any, any, any spell worth its weight that you're methodically and intentionally doing, you have to gather the materials. And sometimes that's not so easy to do. And so you might be gathering rare herbs, crystals. You're writing a letter. You might have some adornments to add to your spell. It all depends on what you're doing. And you pull it all together, you put it all together, and then you do your spell. You raise the energy whatever you're doing, and then it's done, and then you have this pile of spell materials, and it just feels awful to get rid of them in any way. So most practitioners will tell you, Oh, just add it as an offering to the earth and bury it. And I'm okay with that, but I'll tell you how that can also have issues. And then other people will say, burn it. And burning it is good. Depends on what you're doing. You can't burn crystals, for instance, you can burn herbs. You can burn your letter, that type of thing, and that's a great way to release it into the energy. It's a chemical change. And we're denaturing those items and returning them back to the earth as a type of air. So that's okay, but I wanted something a little more powerful, where I take issue and I don't take issue, but burying things. If you own your property and you're going to be there for a long while, that's fine, but if you live in an apartment and you rent a property and you're a little bit more transient, and things can happen, I just feel like I don't I don't want to leave my expired smell materials there. That was very personal, and it took so much time to put it together that I don't know I just kind of want it to be with me. So let me just tell you a little story before we go in this spell powder thing. So my my biggest spell I ever did. I I've been doing this stuff forever, but it would have been in the year 2001 so 2324 years ago, almost, and my friend Lynn and I gathered all these materials, of these at the time, again, 2001 so we worked at an assembly line. We worked in information technology, where they made semis, a company called Navistar, International Truck and engine spin off in the 80s of International Harvester farm equipment. So iron filings, they iron rails at the beginning of a assembly of a semi, and they would punch out coordinates. And so there's all kinds of iron filings. And so we actually pulled them and different herbs that we're that we would pick in Champaign County and Clark County, where these places were that we were working. It's a long story. We pulled all these spell materials together. It took weeks to do it, and it was the most one of the most successful spells I've ever done in my life. I won't get into all of it because way it was a candle magick spell. We teach candle magick based upon the result of the spell at the store. So I buried it in my house, my first house I ever owned. I don't live there anymore, and I hate the fact that it's there. I can't tell you why. I mean, that's been, you know, 2324 years ago. So obviously my letter of intention has been eaten and absorbed by the earth. But there were pennies that were supercharged in there, because this was kind of a it wasn't a prosperity spell, but it had an element to it. There were crystals that I buried there that I would love to get my hands on. And there, it's a part of me, a part of my youth. And it was so successful and good, and it deepened my admiration of the craft so much, and it's not with me anymore. So Much Ado About Nothing there. It just I don't like to bury things for that reason, unless I know for a fact that I'm going to be around for a while and have it close to me. So this is how I came up with this crazy spell powder. So I don't want to just tell you how to make the spell powder, because that's very methodical. I want to talk. I want to walk you through a basic low level prosperity spell so that we have some materials that I've designed here and a little bit of an incantation. And then we can talk about the process of making this so if you want to follow along, or you want to do this spell, then I'll just tell you what you need to get. And you need to get, and you can come back and listen to this later. But the materials for this basic prosperity spell that we're going to do are a green chime, candle, some comfrey root, mugwort, bergamot oil, parchment paper, a piece of fake money or real you could use a real dollar bill if you're okay with destroying it, and some ocean Jasper, so again, comfrey root, mugwort, bergamot oil, parchment paper, fake or real money. If you're okay with the real money, we're going to be destroying it, and it needs to be paper money. So and ocean Jasper. Now the very first thing we want to do in this spell is to anoint the money with the Bergamo oil. And so the way you do that is you actually do a little test make sure that you're not allergic to bergamot oil. If you are you're getting any reaction, just put a little piece on your finger, and if it itches or anything, then absolutely wear gloves to do this. Essential oils are tricky in that respect, like cinnamon oil is a very much an irritant to a lot of people. And when you're anointing your money with the Bergamo oil, just again, visualize yourself sitting inside the life that you want. And we're talking prosperity, and it takes money sometimes to get where you want. So visualize yourself there. And when you're doing that, start grinding the herbs in a mortar and pestle. So the comfrey root and the mugwort, start grinding those herbs and start visualizing again, you in that circle of life that you want to be in. And visualize those down to a very, very fine powder. Alright? So that takes a little while to get that done, but you know you want them to become one that comfrey and mugwort. You want them to be indistinguishable, if you will. Once that's done, keep that keep those herbs and that money right near you, and get out your parchment paper, and we want to write our letter of intention. And I am a stickler on the letter of intentions for so many reasons. When we do piano magic, it's the same thing. It's the most important part of a spell, and it's the part that you cannot look up on a book, on a blog, nothing. The only place that it can come from is you write this letter to whoever you vibe with, if it's a dead ancestor. So mode it be, if it's a deity, so would it be if it's a public figure? So it doesn't matter whoever you want to write it to that's pertinent to you. And then you write laser, sharp, focused, what it is you want out of this spell. And I say things, and I will repeat this, because it bears repeating as many times as I can. Don't ever write a letter of intention. I want to be happy. I want more money because you're not going to get it if you do that. Happiness is a it's not even a real thing. It's just a It's a state of being that we all work towards and never, ever really get there. You want more money? For what? Just for the sake of having more money, the universe is going to laugh at you for that. But if you say something along the lines of, I want to cultivate a very comfortable life where I'm able to give back and share blah blah blah with the community and do something that I have passion for. Or and not struggle to make ends meet something like that, and very and then and read it 100,000 times over and keep refining it until it is exactly, exactly what you want. So let's fast forward to the point where we've got that done. Now we want to take the herbs and put a couple of drops of bergamot oil and that herb mixture in your mortar and pestle, and then just sprinkle those herbs on top of your letter of intention. After you've done that, set that piece of fake money or real money on top of your letter of intention, and at the top of it, facing north, light your green chime candle and say the following, by earth and water, fire and air, I call abundance with a prayer. With Ocean Jasper in my hand, I summon wealth at my command, as tides do rise and currents flow, prosperity to me. Bestow from all directions. Wealth shall come with gratitude. I call it done by the light of the moon and sun. The spell is cast. It has begun. Let me say that one more time for you, you're going to light facing north, your green chime candle. You're going to hold your piece of ocean Jasper, and you say, by earth and water, fire and air, I call abundance with a prayer, with ocean Jasper in my hand, I summon wealth at my command, as tides do rise and currents flow, prosperity to me bestow From all directions, wealth shall come with gratitude. I call it done by the light of the moon and sun. This spell is cast. It has begun. And that, my friends, is our entire spell. So we've got to this point. So what do we do to make spell powder? And what would we want to do with spell powder. All right, so first thing I want you to do, so now we're going to fast forward. We've done this spell. We're living our life. It's the next day, and we still have these materials. What do we do with them? So I want you to take the herbs, your letter of intention, and combine and make a paste out of it. Just put a little bit of salt water in there. So rip up your letter of intention, and so it's in small pieces. Throw the herbs in there with it, the money in there with it, as well, fake or real. And if the money needs to be torn up into small pieces, and we're gonna basically make a paste out of it. So just add a little salt water, and just kind of keep stirring and keep adding until it makes like a paper mache paste, almost like a flour dough, if you will. But we're making this out of paper and herbs, so it's not really scientific there. Just, you know, make it so it's a bit of a spreadable paste. When you get there, then you want to spread it out on a cookie sheet and put it in your oven at 200 and watch it closely. And we're just the intention here is just to dry it completely back out. So it becomes this weird looking stuff. It just kind of looks sometimes. It's depends on the color of the herbs and what you've got on your letter of intention, but it can take on an earthy color and so dry it out. You can also, if you don't want to do it inside, and you're do everything all natural, you could, actually, if you live in a warm area, set it out on a baking sheet, just make sure that it's somewhere where the animals can't get to it, and dry it out that way that's not windy, so it won't blow away. But you want to dry all those materials out. Once you do that, then you want to grind that into a powder. And you can do that in your mortar and pestle, or you could use the spice grinder, if that becomes too difficult in the mortar and pestle, but you just want to make but you just want to make it into a powder and then put it into a jar that's been cleansed. And when I it's so simple on the jar cleansing, if you've used the jar before for magic, it's just sit it in some sea salt water for 10 minutes and then let it naturally dry and it's been cleansed and ready for your use. Label that jar that it is a prosperity spell. And we did this in August of 2024 or September of 2024, so that you know what it is, because that the worst thing you can do is have bunches of these, if you do lots of spells and then boom, no more. Now, during this time of prosperity, what do you do with this? Well, you know, if it's starting to work, but you want a little more. Add a little bit that spell pocket to your pocket. Add a little bit that spell powder to your wallet. Add that little bit of spell powder to wherever it is you make money and how you make money. Put it in the cabinets of your workplace if you make money there, if you go to an office job, put it in a couple drawers, maybe you'll get a promotion, that type of thing. So it's a way to re energize your spell with materials that have been completely energized by you for what you want to accomplish, spell powder. Then when it's done. On and you've got it. Yeah, you keep that. And so any other time now that you're doing a prosperity spell, I take some of that spell powder and add it to my materials. Any time I have tons of different versions of spell powder. And so if I'm doing a prosperity spell and I have now, I should say, if the spell completely backfires and doesn't do anything for you, throw the spell powder away. But if it is successful for you, and it grants you what you need, and you've manifested it, those are still valid materials. Why throw them away or leave them at a place when you may leave that place and never see them again? As far as the ocean Jasper, cleanse it in the moonlight and put it back in your collection. We're not getting rid of that down the road, if you're doing a prosperity spell, then you have this jar of prosperity spell powder. You have it dated, and you might want to write on your label, on the back the success rate. It was so successful. This overwhelmed me. It was so good, like the spell I told you about. And then I add a little bit of that to the spell material. So in the spell we just did, how would I, where would I put that? So when we take those herbs, I might grind up that spell powder with the new herbs and oils, just to infuse that energy into the new spell. It is a very beautiful way to make use of your spell materials and reuse them in the future. If they turn out to be powerful for you, if it turns out not to be a great spell, then that's when you want to burn it or bury it, if you are so inclined, and that, my friends, is spell powder you all right, let's talk Tarot for the week. So I hope you're getting good guidance from the universe on these tarot readings. It's really a powerful thing once a week to pull a two to five card combination, and not really ask any questions, but just kind of see what the universe wants us to know, and it can be a universal thing. I mean, as humans, we all experience very similar patterns and stuff, and so I'm pulling right now. I had pre shuffled my deck and reset it so we've got the upright magician, the upright 10 of pentacles and the upright eight of cups. Again, the magician, the 10 of pentacles, the eight of cups, all in their upright position. So let's just do quick meanings on these first before we talk about putting a story together. Uh, magician is all about manifestation, making it happen. Reese for resourcefulness, if you will. It basically tells us that we have everything right in front of us, inside of us, to to accomplish what we want, and the power to bring our desires into reality is right within us and right within our reach. The 10 of pentacles. It's all about wealth, legacy, long term success, financial stability, strong family bonds, the end of a project that leads to lasting prosperity. The eight of cups, it's it represents an emotional decision to walk away from something that's unfulfilling for us, if you will. We're searching for a deeper meaning and happiness in our life. And it can also symbolize that we're really not paying attention to what's going right in our life. We're only paying attention to what went wrong the eight of cups. So what does this spread mean? It simply means that right now to the at the end of August of 2024 we are going through a powerful period of transformation and growth, particularly with areas of finance and personal fulfillment and career, as we talked about with the magician. It's indicating that we have the potential to manifest great success. But the thing is, we need to use our skills efficiently, and that's where the magician has a little bit of a gotcha. When people tell you things like you can do anything you want, it's truly true. It really is one of the truest statements that you can make about a human being. But do we have the fortitude to do it? Is always the question and the follow through. When you pair that with a 10 of pentacles, it's highlighting the possibility of achieving, achieving financial stability, and curating a legacy that benefits not just us, but our family and those that we care about as well. But when we enter into the ace of cups, into this combination, that's when things can get just a little bit more tricky. It's an important element, and it has to do with fully embracing the success. You need to leave something behind that no longer fulfills us. And so that's what's the power of this. It's, it's, it's a spread that encourages you to trust your abilities and strive for long term success, but don't be afraid to walk away with what's not working. And that's the important lesson here. The negative card is the most important here, the eight of. Cups, because it tells us, you know, you've got all the power to do everything you want to do. You've got this 10 of pentacles, which is flourishing financially, all that great stuff. But in order to do that, then we're going to have to leave some things behind. So it harkens, in my mind, what it tells me, if I was reading this for someone, control freaks, if you will. I can be that way in my own life. You have to let things go. You have to let some things go in order to get to the prize. You can't do everything, and you used to handle everything, but those things are no longer fulfilling you, and now they're becoming rudimentary tasks, and they're dragging you down. And if we let them go, we can sail to new highs. And that, my friends, is what Mother Earth, Gaia, the universe, whoever you call her, that is what is being told to us this week. So think about that as you're walking through your week, because I think it's really powerful. And just like that. We're at the end of the episode. I so appreciate each and every one of you for tuning in and listening to this podcast. It means the world to me. Coming up next week in season three, Episode Seven, we're going to talk about adding cinnabar to our crystal toolkit, and I'm excited about that, because that's, by all means, not a common gemstone to have in your toolkit, but one that is very important to me, and I want to share some of my experiences with it and why I love it. Of course, our Tarot guidance for the week next week. And then I'm going to talk about dealing with animosity in the craft. You know, how I deal with people looking at you and rolling their eyes and acting like this is all Woo, woo, and people that are very religious, thinking that what you do here is evil and that type of thing, and how I deal with that. And then we're also going to add a fourth section next week on a simple but effective freezer spell for those times when we really need to shut someone off that just won't leave us alone. It doesn't harm them anyway. It just gets them out of our radius, if you will. So with that, I bid each of you a great week ahead, and I look forward to talking to you next Week on Episode Seven. You
